Chapter 170 Natalie is in trouble.

"I know how to handle these matters,” Oliver said, meaning he did not need Jane to tell him what to do.

Oliver headed back to the master bedroom. He only wanted to keep an eye on Natalie at this moment. His possessiveness knew no bounds, making no distinctions between gender or blood when it came to potential threats.

Before re-entering the master bedroom, Oliver paused, turned to Lucas, and said sternly, "If you choose to stay, clean yourself up. Don’t show up in front of Natalie in such a disheveled state."

"Oliver!" Lucas called out, "Leave my sister alone!"

Oliver's expression remained cold and devoid of emotion. "Are you stupid?"

Lucas could not believe that his sister was with such a callous man. How could someone like that be worthy of his sister?

"Lucas, calm down," Jane said, holding Lucas back. Then, she turned to Oliver and said, "Take proper care of Natalie and address the issues with your staff. The lady of the house shouldn’t have to go through such a thing. Outsiders might think you’re intentionally mistreating your wife."

Oliver’s expression turned frosty as he retreated into the master bedroom.

Following the day's events, over twenty security guards were dismissed and expelled from Rosewood Estate. Whether their actions were accidental or intentional, hurting Natalie was unforgivable even if they were only doing their job.

Liam informed Jane of the situation and added, "Miss Jane, don’t worry. The young master really cares deeply for the young madam?"

‘He cares deeply for Natalie?’

Jane scoffed inwardly, but in the presence of the kind and amiable old man, she restrained her contemptuous thoughts.

"Lucas, change your clothes first. You can see Natalie once she wakes up. She'll be concerned if she sees you in this state," Jane advised. She was one of the very few people Lucas listened to.

Liam, always meticulous, had anticipated this and had already prepared a change of clothes for Lucas. He promptly sent the clothes to Lucas.

"Lucas, do you realize that by leaving the hospital, you caused Natalie to withdraw from the finals?"

Jane's words left Lucas stunned, erasing his prior indignation.

"You mean..." Lucas's expression turned unsightly when he suddenly recalled that today was the finals of Top Avenue.

Clearly, Hailey had intentionally kept him in the dark about the arranged marriage situation before this and only chose to reveal the matter today. He had fallen into her trap.

A mixture of hatred and determination shone in Lucas’ eyes. In the past, he had turned a blind eye to Hailey’s petty behavior due to their blood relations. However, he had never expected her to go this far.

"I’m sorry," Lucas said as he lowered his head, weighed down by guilt. He understood his sister's love for the fashion industry and how his actions had affected her.

"You shouldn’t be apologizing to me," Jane said with a sigh before she asked, "How did you suddenly find out about Natalie's marriage?"

Jane recalled that Natalie had kept it a secret from Lucas.

Lucas's voice turned cold as he said, "Hailey. I fell into her trap."

‘Hailey again!’

Jane struggled to find words to console Lucas at that moment. She was never skilled at offering comfort, so she simply patted the young boy's shoulder.

At the age of sixteen, his shoulders were already beginning to broaden. If he could regain his health, he would grow even stronger.

"Lucas, remember that your safety and health are paramount if you want to protect Natalie in the future. Your actions today have made Natalie worry about you. Confronting Oliver directly doesn't serve any purpose."

"I understand, thank you," Lucas said obediently as he nodded, "But to think that my sister married someone like that, I…"

"That’s your sister's affair, Lucas. No third party should meddle in matters of the heart. You'll come to understand that as you grow older."

After all, Oliver had not mistreated Natalie, and Jane was also speaking from her personal experience.

"Very well," Lucas said, grumbling reluctantly, "I still think all men are unreliable, except for me."

Jane found his statement amusing but could not muster the spirit to joke with Lucas. None of them, whether it was her, Natalie, or Flora, had found reliable men.

"Then you should strive to become a reliable man in the future!" she said.

"I’ll only be a reliable man for my sister in the future. Other women don't hold the same importance as my sister does!"

At this moment, Jane suddenly felt a pang of familiarity.
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
