Chapter 1068 Mr. Clark's Future Wife

'Do you think I will have a good time if Anthony is embarrassed?' Clint wanted to cry.

Jane was as devilish as ever.

The planning team was located on the 28th floor, which, in terms of floor level, was about the same status as the other merger teams in the company.

"Ms. Watkins is so beautiful! Look at her face, the aura, the figure. I want to marry her!"

"If Mr. Clark hears you say that, you won't see the sun tomorrow."

"Honestly, if I had Ms. Watkins' looks, I wouldn't get married and would maintain an open relationship. That would be awesome!"

"If Mr. Clark hears you say that, you won't just miss the sun; there won't even be ashes left of you."

When Jane arrived at the planning team's office, she happened to hear them talking.

Jane looked at Clint, her face full of doubt. "Is this what a planning team that earns twice the average salary should be doing?"

Clint touched his nose.

When Anthony first set up this planning team, he was also quite shocked.

But when it came to Jane, it seemed both unexpected and inevitable.

Clint knocked on the door twice.

The people passionately discussing in the office finally noticed someone had arrived and were startled.

"Clint, why are you here all of a sudden? Is it because Mr. Clark has..." When the team leader saw Jane, he stopped, freezing in place.

"Ms. Watkins..."

They looked at each other, momentarily at a loss.

Did Jane hear what they were talking about just now?

It was over.

"This is Jane Watkins. She wanted to come and take a look," Clint mocked them internally for being so spineless. They were tough talkers but got more nervous seeing Jane than Anthony.

"Ms. Watkins, what would you like to see?"

"Ms. Watkins, what would you like to drink?"

"Ms. Watkins, please have a seat!"

The planning team members spoke in a flurry, afraid of neglecting Jane and a bit nervous about meeting their target.

In terms of actual work, Anthony paid their salaries, but Jane was their client.

"Don't be nervous. I'm just looking around." Jane reassured them. After glancing around, she focused on the planning documents on the table and asked, "Can I take a look?"

"Of course, feel free!"

Jane picked up the planning documents and saw the recent proposals listed.

[Take Jane to an amusement park]

Jane gave them her most sincere feedback. "I stopped going to amusement parks when I was fourteen."

[Take Jane shopping and buy whatever she wants]

Jane said, "You might not know, but Anthony hates accompanying me shopping the most."

He couldn't understand women's obsession with shopping.

He couldn't even understand why Jane needed ten different black dresses. He couldn't understand what was the difference if they were all black?

[Send Jane ninety-nine roses every day]

[Cook a meal for Jane]

[Say 'I love you' to Jane every night before bed]

Seeing her expression, the planning team members thought, 'What's with Ms. Watkins' indescribable disdain? Are all the things we wrote really that bad?'

In Jane's view, they were indeed terrible. What kind of ideas were these?

Anthony hated it when she received roses because she used to get roses from different suitors every day, and Anthony would throw them away in disgust.

Anthony could cook, but his skills were average. Jane preferred the food from professional chefs over Anthony's cooking.

As for saying "I love you," with Anthony's personality, did he seem like someone who could say those three words?

"How about I give you some suggestions?" Jane said.

"Sure," they quickly replied.

"I like milkshakes, fried chicken, barbecue, ice cream cake, Black Forest cake, chocolate..."

Before Jane could finish, Clint stopped her, saying, "Ms. Watkins, don't even think about it. Mr. Clark specifically instructed that you shouldn't have these unhealthy foods often."

'Using these foods to make you happy is like treating you like a child,' he thought.

Jane pouted in disappointment. "Never mind then."

In the past, if Anthony had given her a private island, she would have been happy. But now, given their relationship, Anthony wouldn't give her an island.

"I heard Mr. Nelson brought a super beautiful socialite today, a top graduate from Skyline University."

Suddenly, a conversation came from behind Jane. It seemed a few people had just returned from the break room.

Another woman excitedly said, "I just saw her. She's very beautiful and elegant, and she seems very familiar with Mr. Clark!"

"Really? Could she be Mr. Clark's future wife?"

Clint immediately coughed several times, pretending to clear his throat.

The few people talking suddenly realized and, seeing Clint, stood there in fear.

"Clint." They all lowered their heads.

It was so unlucky to be caught gossiping about Anthony by Clint.

Clint ignored them and looked at Jane.

"Ms. Watkins, Mr. Clark, he..." Clint wanted to explain for Anthony.

"No need to be nervous. I don't care who he meets," Jane interrupted Clint.

She wasn't Anthony's wife or girlfriend, so she had no right to care about the women around Anthony, nor was she interested in doing so.

Clint sighed internally. He thought, 'Your disinterest is even more frightening. You really don't care at all!'

"Since he has guests to meet today, I'll head back," Jane nodded to Clint and walked out.

She acted indifferent on the surface, but her heart sank when she heard them talking about that woman.

It felt like something was stuck in her chest, making her feel suffocated. She didn't want to stay in that space for another second.

However, fate had other plans.

Jane waited for the elevator.

The elevator stopped on that floor, and when the doors opened, Anthony's handsome, cold face came into Jane's view.

Standing next to him was a blond, blue-eyed man and a tall, beautiful Delilah Johnson.

Delilah, with her delicate features, was dressed in a limited-edition designer outfit. She carried herself with grace and, upon seeing Jane, was momentarily surprised but quickly regained her composure.

"Ms. Watkins, what a coincidence," Delilah greeted her.

Jane had been out of the socialite circle for three or four years. The people who still left a deep impression on her, besides her friends, were few.

Among those few, Delilah was one of them.

"Ms. Johnson." Jane smiled, but there was no warmth in her eyes.

Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
