Chapter 894 You Deserve It Too!

Aurora seemed to have been attacked by some harsh words, and her face turned pale.

"Ms. Watkins, I didn't mean it! I never intended to insult you!"

"I didn't expect you to insult me either, but you reminded me." Jane said slowly.

The Clark family's servants looked at each other in silence.

They were all women, and women understood women's minds the best. They could see through the manner of pretending to be innocent.

They used to think that the future Mrs. Dewar was a gentle and dignified person, but after Jane's words...

Just then, Aurora suddenly clutched her stomach and curled up in pain.

"Ms. Dewar, what's wrong with you?" The servants were startled.

Aurora was supported by a servant, painfully saying, "My stomach, my stomach hurts."

The servants' thoughts were all interrupted. They dared not think about what Aurora might be up to.

The baby in the future Mrs. Dewar's stomach was the most important, so they should make sure the her safety.

"Move. Call the doctor!" Jane frowned, pondering whether Aurora's sudden stomach ache was real. If it was, it might have been caused by her.

She had indeed heard that pregnant women should not be suppressed. She probably shouldn't have shown off at this time.

Just then, Ann hurried over in a panic. "Aurora! Aurora!"

Ann heard the servants calling for a doctor and hurried over, leaving the other ladies behind.

Jane hadn't reacted yet when she was met with a loud slap!

A sharp pain spread across her left cheek.

She stood there in a daze for a while, squinting her eyes as she said, "Jane, I knew you were a malicious woman! It is kind of Aurora to bring you here and take care of you. She did all that to keep your grace. But how dare you harm her child!" Ann scolded fiercely, pushing Jane back hard, "Jane, if anything happens to my grandson, I'll have you pay with your life!"

Jane felt a sharp pain in her back. The pain spread numbness throughout her body, making her unable to feel the pain on her face.

"Please don't be angry. That has nothing to do with Ms. Watkins." Aurora endured the pain, gasping for air as she spoke.

"Aurora, I know you're kind, but this woman is not worth you speaking up for!"

Ann looked at Jane with disgust and hatred. "Jane, your father killed my husband and my youngest daughter, and now you want to harm my grandson, how despicable!"

Jane gritted her teeth as she said, "Mrs. Clark, I just had a few words with Ms. Dewar, I never even touched her. If you don't believe me, you can ask your servants."

She didn't want to bear the accusation of harming Anthony and Aurora's child!

Ann followed Jane's gaze to the servants who had accompanied Aurora. The servants all lowered their heads in silence.

It was as if they didn't agree with Jane's words, but they couldn't deny her outright.

Aurora curled up in pain, holding her stomach, as if she hadn't heard Jane's words just now.

Just a moment ago Aurora said it had nothing to do with Jane, but now she was playing dumb.

"None in the Watkins family was good people! None of a single child of your father is good! Jovan deserved to die!"

Jane looked coldly at Ann. "Mrs. Clark, please be careful with what your said! My brother has never done anything to harm the Clark family."

"Your father's debt should be repaid by you! He deserves it! You deserve it too!" Ann said fiercely, "Jane, if anything happens to Aurora and my grandson, I'll make you pay with your life!"

An ambulance arrived soon.

Jane initially suspected Aurora was faking it, but then, seeing Aurora's distressed face, she felt a pang of worry.

She followed the servants and Ann to accompany Aurora into the ambulance.

It wasn't until she saw Aurora and Ann get into the ambulance that Jane unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.

The voices of the few ladies who hadn't left yet came from behind as they said, "What a pretense! She dares to harm a pregnant woman on her first day at the Clark family. How malicious!"

"I don't know what Ann was thinking when she actually agreed to let this woman into the house."

"I thought Jane was just up to no good, but I never expected her to be so malicious. No wonder she is a daughter raised by the Watkins family!"

"I have to go home and tell my son and and his wife to stay away from this woman."

Jane glanced at them. But they looked at her with an arrogant and unscrupulous expression as if saying, "What can you do about us?"

Jane returned to her small room and asked Sadie, who had been following her, "Do I still need to stay here?"

"Of course, Ms. Watkins. You're here to take care of Ms. Dewar, right?" Sadie said, "You can call me Sadie."

Although Ann held a grudge against Jane for what happened to Aurora today, her goal was to torment and insult Jane so she wouldn't let Jane go so easily.

Jane looked up and carefully examined Sadie.

She was in a uniform, and her hair was neatly pinned at the back of her head with a look so subtle yet remarkable that she did not seem to be an ordinary servant of the Clark family.

Judging by the fact that Sadie was following her while the other servants dared not speak, it was clear that Sadie held a special status in the Clark family.

Having been with Ann for decades, Sadie naturally held a different status.

Moreover, when Anthony was young, Sadie used to take care of him personally.

"Alright." Jane nodded.

Anthony had not appeared. Ann and Aurora had gone to the hospital. There were no masters in the Watkins family, so the servants dared not easily communicate with Jane.

Jane returned to her small room to pack up.

But a slight bend in her back brought a sharp pain.

She felt the pain in her back and cheek, which was so painful that she dared not move her lips and could only maintain her current posture. After the pain subsided, a layer of cold sweat appeared on Jane's forehead again.

She had been afraid of pain since she was young. Although she had suffered a lot mentally over the years, her body still couldn't bear the pain. She was good at fighting, so even if caught in a fight, Jane was the one hitting.

It was her first time to be slapped and pushed to the wall.

She felt it was both embarrassing and ridiculous.

No one came to find her. Jane lay on the narrow bed that was barely over three feet wide, quietly looking at the extremely narrow room. Her mind replayed the insults from Ann and those noble ladies.

"She dares to harm a pregnant woman on her first day at the Clark family. How malicious!"

"None in the Watkins family was good people! None of a single child of your father is good! Jovan deserved to die."
