Chapter 446

The group was in disbelief. This was too unreal.

Natalie, albeit reluctantly, tried a piece of the fish and, to her surprise, discovered it did not disturb her stomach.

Noticing this, Oliver placed another piece of fish on her plate, diligently removing the bones for her.

"Is there anything else you want?" Oliver asked gently.

"No," Natalie replied, her tone sharp and cold, "You don’t have to remove the bones for me."

Oliver looked at her helplessly, but he still continued to remove the bones from the fish for her.

Natalie possessed a soft heart, except when someone crossed the line. She found it hard to embarrass people, especially in a public setting. She found it hard to harden her heart with Oliver patiently removing the bones for her in front of everyone.

At the same time, everyone looked at Natalie with a hint of respect and awe. It was unbelievable that Oliver could treat a woman with so much tenderness.

Cadence, nibbling on her food, watched the unfolding scene with a thoughtful expression.

At this time, Barrett whispered, “Cadence, stop daydreaming. Oliver is out of your reach!”

“You’re the one who’s daydreaming,” Cadence snapped back.

Barrett wisely stayed silent.

Throughout the meal, Natalie ate only the fish, ignoring the rest of the dishes.

Oliver softly urged her to eat more, but to no avail.

After the meal, Isaac and Wyatt, both close confidants of Oliver, pulled him aside to ask about what happened.

Oliver made sure Natalie was comfortably seated in a corner before he joined Isaac and Wyatt on the sofa in the adjacent lounge for a talk.

The others looked curious, but apart from Barrett and Cadence, no one talked to Natalie.

“I… I wasn’t making fun of you earlier,” Barrett said, driven by self-preservation.

Natalie merely nodded at Barrett; her expression unreadable.

What’s wrong with your leg?” Barrett asked in a voice mixed with curiosity and concern, “A model’s legs are important after all. If you don’t look after it, I might just earn more than you.”

Natalie glanced at him and said, “I think it’ll require quite an effort on your part to earn more than me."

Barrett stammered, “It’s, it’s just a side job for me! I’m not as invested in it as you think!”

“If you decided to do it full-time, you might have to look into surgery to grow taller,” Natalie said. Clearly, she was taking out her frustrations on Barrett, who was begging to be roasted.

Barrett was handsome, and he stood at about 6 feet tall. His height was above average among the general populace but was considered average height in the modeling industry.

Laughter filled the room.

"Natalie really knows how to deliver a comeback!” someone said, laughing.

“Hey, Barrett, do you need me to recommend you a good plastic surgeon?”

“Enough from all of you!” Barrett said irritably. He took a deep breath to calm down.

At this time, Cadence leaned closer and whispered, "Natalie, did you and Oliver have a fight?”

Natalie replied casually, “Yea. Are you interested in him? He’s all yours if you want him.”

“What?”
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
