Chapter 927 Oliver Never Threatens

The reporters were startled by the sudden scene.

They looked at each other, not daring to make a sound.

If Oliver had smashed their equipment, they might have continued to frantically take photos because of his notorious temper. It was rumored that he once beat someone into the ICU for a month because of Natalie.

But now, it was Natalie who was usually calming!

"Not taking photos anymore?" Natalie stood within the small space surrounded by bodyguards, sarcastically asking the stunned reporters.

The reporters thought, ‘We are just about to press the shutter, but now it's awkward to do so.’

"Natalie, are you losing your temper?" a reporter hidden in the crowd asked.

"Yes, when dealing with people like you who lack professional ethics, I can’t tolerate anymore." Natalie scanned the reporters' equipment. The cameras captured her sharp gaze, sending chills down their spines.

"Do you not understand what a hospital is? If you, as reporters, lack professional ethics, you should at least have common sense. Which of your leaders or teachers taught you that it's okay to besiege a hospital building for an interview? If you delay a patient's treatment, who will be responsible?"

Raising her voice, Natalie continued, "Tell me, who will be responsible? You?"

She looked at the male reporter who had asked if she was losing her temper, nodding calmly and sarcastically. "Yes, I am losing my temper."

The male reporter averted his eyes, not daring to speak.

"Did you not see that child just now? A living person standing there with bandages on his head is still injured. If something happens, who will take responsibility? None of you can. Health is not something money can buy. As reporters, don't you understand this basic principle? Are you selectively blind or only see popular social topics? As reporters, your job is to convey the truth to the public, not to guide public opinion!" Natalie explained.

"Natalie, this is a personal attack!" a reporter said indignantly.

"Yes, it is a personal attack!" Natalie responded, "What are you going to do about it?"

For people without professional or civic ethics, there was no need to worry about personal attacks.

The reporters looked at each other, too shocked to react immediately.

They felt that any slight move might result in their equipment being smashed by Natalie, just like the one lying on the ground.

But they were here, the news had to be reported.

"Miss Watson, can you explain the situation with Susan being forced to donate bone marrow?"

"No, I can't." Due to Eugene's instructions, Natalie couldn't speak freely on this matter. "As reporters, shouldn't you investigate the facts? If you lack the ability, let those who can like the police. If we have committed a crime, the relevant authorities will come to us. But if you are deliberately spreading rumors or creating a narrative for someone, even if we tell the truth, it can be twisted by those with an agenda."

In other words, whatever these reporters wrote wouldn't necessarily be true.

"Is Mr. Windsor of the same attitude?" a reporter asked.

Oliver had been protecting Natalie the whole time, with a scowl on his face, not wanting to deal with the crowd. It wasn't until someone mentioned him that he looked up, his gaze seemingly threatening.

In fact, the reporter regretted asking the question as soon as it was out.

"Just a reminder for you. Don't edit things out of context or speak recklessly." Oliver pointed to a few of the loudest and most impolite reporters. "You all work with the Corporation family and the Liam family, right?"

Many were confused about who the Corporation family and the Liam family were, but those being pointed at knew exactly what he meant!

The Corporation Group and the Liam Group were business competitors of Oliver's company and also investors in their companies. Their presence at the interview was orchestrated by these investors.

The other reporters quickly realized that these colleagues were acting under orders, not genuinely reporting news.

Some reporters had initially approached the interview with an objective mindset but were swayed by the leading questions and comments of their peers, becoming more biased against Oliver and Natalie.

Now, it all made sense.

They had been used as tools!

Dozens of angry eyes turned towards those few individuals.

"You're threatening us!" the pointed-out reporters said indignantly, knowing well that they were under orders.

Oliver's lips curled into a cold smile as he asked seriously, "Do you think I am threatening?"

No, Oliver never stooped to threats.

Oliver was a man of action.

Anyone familiar with Oliver knew that he rarely spoke but he preferred to act.

Talking was something Oliver found tedious.

In the past, media companies that Oliver had called out went bankrupt and shut down. Some responsible parties cried foul within the industry and online, accusing Oliver of being tyrannical and arrogant, trying to incite public backlash against him. But it had no effect. It was known that Mr. Windsor was seen as an arrogant man and he had the power to back it up.

But that was another story.

After dismissing the reporters, Natalie returned to wait outside the operating room and called Eugene.

"I'll handle this," Eugene replied as always.

Natalie frowned in disagreement. "How do you plan to handle it? Given the current situation, if Oliver and I don't admit to anything, suspicion will fall on you. Mr. Watson, I appreciate what you've done for Lucas, but I don't want you to get entangled in this. I think..."

"You think it would be better for your husband to take the fall?" Eugene interrupted bluntly. "Do you think I would let your husband take responsibility for something I did?"

Natalie wanted to say that this wasn't related to that.

But men and women often focused on different things. Natalie wasn't surprised by his response.

"Mr. Watson, that's not what I mean. I just feel you've already helped me a lot, and I don't want to owe you more." Natalie paused for a few seconds and said softly, "You know, I can't repay you."

Natalie couldn't give what Eugene wanted.

"I don't need your repayment," Eugene said, looking at his reflection in the mirror, his eyes deep and his expression complex. "Natalie, if I hadn't taken Susan that day, Oliver probably would have."
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
