Chapter 1052 Jane, What Do You Think?

Staying in Southvale would constantly remind Jane that even though she was carrying Anthony's child, she would eventually leave.

That place was inescapable, so it was better to face it sooner rather than later.

"Where do you want to live?" Anthony asked again.

"Emerald Gardens."

"Alright."

Emerald Gardens was one of the top villa districts in Southvale, with beautiful seaside views. A villa there was priceless and had been sold out for five years. It was impossible to buy a house in Emerald Gardens from the outside.

However, given Anthony's status and influence in Southvale, as long as he asked, the developers would rush to offer the best new house they had.

"Anthony."

Anthony had just opened the car door and was about to get out when Jane suddenly called him.

Jane continued, "Actually, before we went to the hospital, you already knew about the Richardson family's plane crash, didn't you?"

Otherwise, he wouldn't have agreed so easily to Jane going to the hospital. Because Anthony knew from the start that she wouldn't end up on that operating table.

"Jane, what do you think?" he answered.

The next day, Jane followed Anthony to the airport.

Jane didn't speak the entire way, staring blankly out the window, with Anthony's words, "Jane, what do you think?" echoing in her mind.

Jane felt that Anthony must have known.

Jane just wanted a definite answer, but Anthony was always smart and knew that giving her the real answer would only make her angrier.

"Sir, Ma'am, this way, please."

The airport staff had been notified in advance and were waiting at the entrance to guide Jane and Anthony.

Jane was stunned when she boarded the plane.

The cabin wasn't filled with rows of seats but was a spacious lounge area. Further inside, there were bedrooms and a screening room.

It was a private jet.

"Surprised? Do I not seem like someone who would have a private jet?" Anthony noticed Jane's expression. She had been unusually silent the entire way, so Anthony took the initiative to speak.

Given Anthony's status and wealth, having a private jet was perfectly normal.

However, in Jane's impression, Anthony was the complete opposite of her—always unpretentious and not picky about travel or food. Such a person would likely prefer flying commercial airlines.

Because relatively speaking, maintaining a private jet and getting flight approvals were more troublesome, while commercial flights were much more convenient, with several flights available daily. The only difference was the comfort level.

When Anthony spoke, Jane instinctively glanced at him, then quickly looked away and walked further inside.

The flight attendant sensed the tense atmosphere and didn't dare to say much or look around. She completed her duties and then discreetly left, waiting for Anthony or Jane to need something.

Jane found a window seat, sat down, fastened her seatbelt, and put on an eye mask, signaling that she was ready to rest and didn't want to be disturbed.

Upon entering the cabin, Jane suddenly had a suspicion that maybe this plane was prepared by Anthony for her.

Although this guess seemed a bit narcissistic, everything from the model of the private jet to the interior design matched Jane's preferences.

If it wasn't prepared for Jane, it would be too much of a coincidence.

Anthony stared at Jane for a few seconds but said nothing, silently sitting in the seat next to her.

Anthony knew that this wasn't Jane's usual rest time, and she typically didn't sleep on planes, preferring to read magazines or watch movies. She was simply avoiding him.

Half an hour later, the plane took off and reached cruising altitude.

Anthony quietly got up and walked to the front cabin.

"Mr. Clark?" A flight attendant looked a bit surprised.

"Cover her with a blanket, the cashmere one I bought in advance. If she wakes up, ask her what she wants to eat. If she says nothing, make some recommendations. Also, bring her a few of the latest fashion magazines and an iPad."

The "her" Anthony referred to was obviously Jane.

The flight attendant nervously agreed, feeling that Anthony had left something unsaid: If you can't get her to accept, you won't be flying again after this trip.

"Why don't you do it yourself, sir?" The flight attendant was puzzled. Wouldn't it be more thoughtful for a man to personally do these things for the woman he likes?

"That's not for you to ask." Anthony's eyes narrowed, and a sharp aura instantly emerged.

"Sorry, I spoke too much."

Almost the moment the blanket was placed over her, Jane removed her eye mask and opened her eyes, looking displeased.

"Ms. Watkins, I'm sorry to disturb your rest." The flight attendant was startled by Jane's gaze.

"It's fine." Jane softened her expression. She had thought it was Anthony.

Jane instinctively glanced around and happened to lock eyes with Anthony, who was working on his laptop.

Jane was the first to look away, expressionless, and thanked the flight attendant.

"Ms. Watkins, is there anything you'd like to eat or drink?" The flight attendant asked with a sweet smile.

"No."

The flight attendant's smile grew even sweeter. "Ms. Watkins, today we have Black Forest cake made by a Michelin three-star pastry chef. I highly recommend you try it. The juices are all freshly squeezed, and today's mangoes and kiwis are very fresh."

The flight attendant's eagerness almost made Jane suspect that she would get a commission if Jane ate more.

"Then I'll try the Black Forest cake and mango juice," Jane casually ordered, though she wasn't really hungry.

"Alright."

After a while, the flight attendant returned with three fashion magazines and an iPad, placing them on the table in front of Jane. "If you need anything, please let me know."

"Okay, thank you."

Jane wasn't used to sleeping on planes, and there was no need to force herself if she couldn't sleep.

Jane opened one of the fashion magazines, read for a while, then pursed her lips and put it down.

This issue's content wasn't good. The new editor-in-chief of this magazine didn't have the same aesthetic as the previous one.

Anthony had a reflective mirror on his left, adjusted in advance so he could see Jane's every move without turning his head.

Seeing Jane's disdainful expression, Anthony couldn't help but smile. It was obvious that Jane didn't like the magazines.

Jane picked up the iPad, intending to find a movie to watch.

When she opened the browser, she saw a documentary recommendation on the side, one called "Babies."

The cover featured babies of different ages, from crawling to walking.

Jane impulsively clicked on it.

It was a scientific documentary exploring how babies learn. By the time Jane realized it, she had already started the first episode.

The babies on the screen were chubby and adorable, even when they were crying.

Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
