Chapter 466

Natalie, already tense, saw him stopping suddenly and asked, "Why not?"

"You will be upset and scared,” Oliver murmured as he gently caressed Natalie’s face.

Natalie's heart skipped a beat, and for some reason, her eyes grew slightly moist. She looked at him, wondering, ‘Does he still remember even when he’s so drunk? Then why did he act as he did that night? Why did he visit Susan and lie to me in the first place?’

Natalie turned her gaze toward the window, attempting to dismiss the chaotic thoughts in her mind.

"Baby, you smell," Oliver complained again.

"Then get off me!" Natalie found it unbearable to have such a large man lying atop her.

"I’m not drunk. You smell bad,” Oliver said stubbornly. Then, as if to prove his point, he moved closer, sniffed above her shoulder where she had applied an ointment, and wrinkled his nose in disgust.

While staring at the ceiling, contemplating her next steps, Natalie caught a glimpse of a red lipstick mark on Oliver's collar from the corner of her eyes. She froze as Oliver continued to mumble next to her.

She closed her eyes tightly for a moment before she leaned in toward his collar and sniffed. She could faintly smell a woman’s perfume, underscored by a faint note of rose.

Her voice became chillingly cold as she said, “Oliver, get off me!”

"Baby..."

Natalie refused to listen to another word from him and pressed the emergency call button adjacent to her bed. Upon the maid answering the phone, she instructed, "Come to the master bedroom, please."

The maid entered to discover a man lying atop Natalie. Initially taken aback, she then recognized Oliver.

"Get him off me," Natalie directed, pointing at Oliver.

"Ma'am, I..." the maid hesitated, aware that Oliver didn't like anyone other than Natalie touching him, especially women—this was a fact known to everyone except Natalie herself.

"He is lying on my wound," Natalie lied.

With this, the maid quickly stepped forward. "Sir? Let me help you."

As soon as the maid attempted to touch Oliver, he pushed her hand away. "Don’t touch me!"

"Ma’am…" the maid turned back to Natalie with a look of helplessness. It was not that she did not want to help; rather, Oliver did not allow her to help.

"Oliver!"

Natalie caught sight of the lipstick mark again, and she found him and the mark increasingly bothersome.

"Ma’am, don’t be angry. It’s pointless to argue with a drunk,” the maid said, trying to comfort Natalie. Everyone in the house knew how much Oliver adored Natalie.

"Oliver, you’re hurting me," Natalie said, realizing she could not depend on the maid and needed to deal with the drunk man alone.

"Hmm?" Oliver finally responded, raising his head to look at her.

"Please move. You’re pressing on my wound," Natalie said emotionlessly.

Oliver's gaze drifted to Natalie's lips before he moved up and looked at her with an intense gaze, saying, “Baby, I want to kiss you.”

Natalie looked at him incredulously. ‘Is he serious? I want a divorce, and he’s still thinking about kissing me? There’s also that lipstick mark!’

Natalie struggled to restrain herself from cursing out loud.

"Ma’am, I...I’ll leave now!” The maid bowed quickly and exited promptly.

Before Natalie could even respond, the maid had already shut the door behind her, leaving her speechless.

"Baby, can I kiss you?” Oliver persisted, his fingertips tenderly tracing Natalie's lips.

Natalie pointed at the door. “Go take a shower.”

“Hmm?” Oliver looked confused initially. Then, looking enlightened, he chided lightly, “Baby, you’re injured. We can’t do that…”
