Chapter 314 Mrs. Windsor's Greeting

"I’m sorry, I... I didn’t mean it. It’s just that you and Susan resemble each other, and the lighting in here is dim, I... I’m really sorry!" one of the men quickly apologized.

Following him, the others also offered their apologies.

Everyone knew that Oliver intentionally brought Natalie here and showed their intimacy to clear the rumors.

Barrett's expression was one of regret. He did not dare to look at Oliver at all.

‘It’s over! I even offended Natalie the last time we met…’

At the same time, Barrett was also puzzled. ‘Why didn’t he divorce Natalie now that Susan is back? Does he really like Natalie? Although Natalie is beautiful and has a good figure, can she even compare to the talented Susan? Of course not!’

"It’s fine. Susan and I indeed share some resemblance," Natalie said with a smile.

The men in the room were thankful for her words: she was indeed gentle, kind, and considerate!

"Oliver is partly responsible for this confusion. If it weren’t for his close relationship with Susan, such misunderstandings wouldn’t have occurred," Natalie added.

Oliver looked at Natalie before he looked at the others icily.

The men silently pleaded.

‘Don’t blame Oliver! This will only make things worse for us!’

‘She was so understanding a moment ago, but why does she seem so shrewd now?’

Wyatt and Isaac shared a look; this was the real character of Natalie!

How could a woman, who had been friends with Jane for nearly a decade and managed to calculate the men in the room, be truly benevolent?

"Oliver, Natalie, take a seat!”

The room was an opulent private space spanning three hundred square meters. It boasted a karaoke system, billiard tables, and an assortment of games.

There was also a group of hostesses in the room.

These men had not anticipated Oliver bringing his wife. The women they had invited were dressed in quite revealing clothes.

It was common for them to hire hostesses during their gatherings.

Oliver had invited everyone out today, and Isaac had been in charge of organizing the gathering. Seeing the scantily clad women, Isaac hastily explained, “Don’t mind the women, Natalie. The others called them here. Everyone knows that Oliver isn’t the type to fool around!”

Everyone glanced at the women before they looked at Isaac again, thinking that Isaac really had a strong sense of self-preservation.

Oliver glanced at Natalie, anticipating her response.

"It’s fine," Natalie said with a smile.

A collective sigh of relief was exhaled by everyone present.

"Oliver, how about a game of poker? We need one more player, and you’d make the perfect addition."

Isaac swiftly shifted the conversation. If he had known that Oliver would bring Natalie, he would not have dared to call so many scantily clad women over.

Oliver, with his arm around Natalie, led her toward the poker table.

"Are you upset?" Oliver asked, bending down to whisper in her ear.

Natalie felt a ticklish sensation and recoiled slightly. "Not at all."

Her gaze was clear and sincere. She was not lying; she was not jealous at all.

Oliver's expression darkened immediately.

Natalie was puzzled by his sudden change in mood.

Oliver’s expression remained dark, remaining silent.

Natalie noticed but restrained herself from questioning him.

After a brief moment, Oliver could no longer contain himself and asked coldly, “Don’t you feel jealous? Aren’t you upset about the women’s presence?”

‘Is it because you have no feelings for me at all?’

Natalie found his concern somewhat amusing.

"Oliver, with your status, wealth, and appearance, you’re not short of women at all. Take Miss Aura for example. She’s really beautiful. I knew you wouldn’t be interested in these women who have undergone heavy plastic surgery.”

On the contrary, if the women here were replaced with Susan, Natalie would have reacted differently.

For a moment, Oliver experienced a whirlwind of emotions. He did not know whether to feel proud about how astute his wife was or to feel disappointed that she was not jealous or possessive at all.

On the other side of the room, Barrett muttered under his breath, clearly dissatisfied, “I really don’t understand what’s so good about Natalie. What does Oliver even see in her?”

Wyatt responded with a sharp tap on Barrett's head and warned, "Don’t seek death, and be quiet."

"But I’m really curious..." Barrett persisted.

"Then keep it to yourself!" Wyatt sharply rebuked. Then, he glanced at Natalie for a moment. The fact that she could capture Oliver’s attention was a feat that many distinguished women failed to achieve.

As they settled at the poker table, Oliver assumed the head position, with Isaac to his left.

Wyatt was not playing, and there were still two empty seats.

“Do you know how to play poker?” Oliver asked.

Natalie shook her head in response. "No."

He gently led Natalie to the seat next to him and said, looking pleased, “Let me teach you.”

Jane had taught Natalie horseback riding, and now, Oliver was happy to be given a chance to teach Natalie something new.

A few people exclaimed excitedly upon seeing this.

“Come on, who else wants to join?”

“Natalie doesn’t know how to play poker! This is a good chance for us to win Oliver’s money!”

Upon hearing this, Natalie wondered if she should leave the table. She knew the stakes would definitely be high, with each chip worth thousands of tens of thousands of dollars. She said, “Maybe I should just sit this game out. I really don’t know how to play, after all.”

Oliver, however, firmly kept her seated, assuring her with a smirk. "Don’t worry. If we lose, it’s on me. We can consider it a gift for them.”

Since Oliver and Natalie arrived, Oliver did not explicitly say that Natalie was his wife, but this sentence alone showed her status in his heart and his affection for her. Moreover, his actions and words also revolved around her.

Those who had known Oliver for years were taken aback since they had never seen him treating anyone like this. With this, they regarded Natalie with even more respect.

"Thank you, Natalie! Thanks, Oliver!”

“Oliver’s generosity really knows no bounds!”

Mrs. Windsor! And thank you, Mr. Windsor!"

The anticipation of winning had already thrilled the crowd, even before the game began.

Isaac, with a gleam in his eyes, said excitedly, "This is great, Natalie. You have no idea, but every time I play with Oliver, I’ll end up losing a month’s salary!”

Considering Isaac's position as a CEO, his monthly earnings amounted to millions.

Amidst the commotion, Natalie found the behavior of these affluent men somewhat amusing/

‘Why are they behaving like kids?’

After a while, Natalie suddenly said, “Leave a place for Barrett.”

Ever since she arrived, she had noticed Barrett’s displeasure. She was not aware of any prior interactions with him, but seeing his evident dislike of her, she felt compelled to include him.
