Chapter 138 I am your man!

"No, it’s not," Oliver said, gently guiding her to sit on the nearby sofa. He sat down beside her and took a sip of water, his lips appearing slightly redder afterward.

Natalie suddenly remembered she had not cooked for Oliver in half a month. Initially, it was because he had gone abroad, and later, due to their conflicts.

The pain in his stomach eased slightly after drinking water, but then it returned, fierce and relentless.

Oliver could not alleviate it, even after drinking several glasses of water.

Seeing his discomfort, Natalie could not help but reach out and gently rub his stomach, attempting to ease his physical pain.

"Do you have any stomach medicine?"

"I don’t need it," he replied with a tone of disdain.

In fact, before Natalie, his stomach problem was not so apparent. It was only after he discovered the taste of delicious food that he could no longer tolerate tasteless dishes. In the past, no matter how unpalatable food, he would still eat them.

"What should we do then?" Natalie, having never cared for someone with a stomach condition before, asked. Moreover, she realized the yacht's first aid kit would not contain something as specific as stomach medicine.

"Are you worried about me?" Oliver suddenly looked up, lifting the hand supporting himself on the sofa to hold Natalie's hand. Then, he pulled her into his embrace.

"Ah!" Natalie exclaimed in surprise. Her lips inadvertently brushed against his earlobe, causing his breath to hitch.

Oliver's forehead was covered in a thin layer of sweat from the torment of his stomachache. However, he still said teasingly, "Darling, do you think that because I am sick, I won’t kiss you?"

"What are you doing?"

‘Who would think about things like this apart from you?’

Natalie took a deep breath, not wanting to argue with someone unwell. She asked, "Should I call Charles? Or contact Doctor May?"

"It’s because of you that I’m unwell," Oliver said, pulling her into his arms. Miraculously, the pain in his stomach subsided.

Natalie clenched her teeth in frustration.

After a few seconds, she looked up at him and asked, "Mr. Windsor, can’t you apologize to me?"

Oliver was surprised. He had never apologized before. Ignoring Natalie's request, he held her chin and kissed her forcefully before he said, "If you dare call me Mr. Windsor again, I’ll show you tonight that I’m your husband in all sense of the word."

This evoked memories of their intimate night, and Natalie lowered her head immediately, trembling slightly.

Oliver sensed Natalie’s fear. He had lost control that night, both emotionally and physically. He could not help but feel overwhelmed with guilt when he thought about it.

Silence enveloped the yacht.

Since the release of Adrian's video, Natalie understood Oliver's intention. He was aware of her purpose for going to the bar, helping her achieve her goal as a way of apology. However, for a lasting relationship, this form of compromise was not helpful. She disliked the silent treatment, and she found this indirect approach even more disagreeable.

After a moment, she put this out of her mind.

Too much had transpired that night. Natalie was eager to ask about Flora, and Oliver was curious about Roger Wild.

"What’s your relationship with that man?" he asked, his voice low and deep. Although he was not feeling well, he still sounded dangerous.

"His name is Roger. I helped him previously, and he returned the favor once. I don’t know him very well,” Natalie explained, omitting the hospital incident.

‘Don’t know him well?’

Oliver mentally scoffed. Roger's gaze had been fixed on her, and yet she claimed they were not close.

"Stay away from him in the future."

"Why?" She still wanted to thank Roger.

Oliver's stomach churned slightly as his fingertips traced Natalie's delicate face.

"He obviously approached you on purpose," he said seriously, "probably because he thought you looked good and wants to sell you off!”

"No, that’s not true," Natalie protested, her intuition telling her Roger was not such a person. However, his behavior at the supermarket and his presence at the hospital raised doubts about his character.

"Do you understand the value of a woman like you in certain circles? Do you know how many women are abducted each year?" Oliver asked.

Natalie shook her head, gulping nervously.

"Are you frightened?" Oliver asked, pleased by her reaction, before he patted her cheek and said, "Stay by my side and avoid dubious characters in the future."

Finally, Natalie rolled her eyes.

‘So he’s just trying to frighten me!‘

Upon reaching shore, Oliver's stomachache worsened, more so than when they were on the yacht.

"Sir, you should see Dr. May," Charles suggested, unsurprised by Oliver's condition.

Natalie asked, "Has he been experiencing stomachaches frequently?"

Charles was about to respond when Jamie interjected, "Yes, Young Madam. The young master has been suffering from stomachaches for some time, likely due to improper eating habits."

Oliver gave Jamie a look.

‘Improper eating habits? Isn’t it because Natalie has stopped cooking for him?’

Feeling guilty, Natalie urged, "You should see Dr. May."

"No," Oliver refused as Jamie supported him.

“Oliver, this is your health we’re talking about. It’s not good to be stubborn,” Natalie said with a sigh, thinking, ‘At nearly twenty-six, he’s still so stubborn.’

The weather that night was perfect, with an early autumn sky full of stars.

Beneath the starlit sky, Oliver hinted, "The stomach needs nourishment, not medicine."

"I didn’t say I’d never cook for you," Natalie responded, irritated.

‘Who had crossed the line first? Who refused to apologize?’

The sea breeze tousled Natalie's loose hair as she reached up to tuck a few strands behind her ear.

"Come and support me," Oliver said, happy with her response. His eyes gleamed with a mixture of cunning as he spoke.

"Isn’t Jamie supporting you now?"

Oliver narrowed his eyes, barely concealing his irritation. "Isn’t it more appropriate for my wife to help me?"

Jamie and Charles tensed seeing that Oliver’s temper was about to flare.

Natalie, albeit reluctantly, helped Oliver to the car, supporting his arm on her shoulders.

At the same time, Charles whispered to Jamie, “It’s been a while since he had any stomach issues, right?”
