Chapter 736 Can't Leave Him
Natalie sent a message to Emily, telling her that she was in the car and they would call her after they finished talking, so the three of them could go back together.
"Don't move," Oliver suddenly said.
Natalie froze, her entire body still, and looked at him with wide eyes, suspicion written all over her face. Her instinct was that something had fallen on her.
However, the man only took a silk cloth and lightly wiped the sweat off her forehead.
"Natalie, you don't look like a wealthy wife at all," Oliver said, looking into Natalie's eyes, a mix of helplessness and compromise, with a trace of heartache hidden within.
"Why not?" Natalie asked with great interest.
Although she had never intended to become a qualified wealthy wife from the beginning.
Wealthy wives would shop around even when there was nothing to buy, and when they had something to do, they would have afternoon tea with other wealthy wives, whether it was at the Turmeric Garden or Canary Wharf.
But Natalie, from the very beginning, was not that kind of woman.
"Wealthy wives don't work on hot days like this. They would use your Mrs. Windsor identity to suppress them and provide you with a better working environment," Oliver sighed, pinching Natalie's chin and self-mockingly saying, "Unfortunately, I married a Mrs. Windsor who only wants to rely on herself."
"What's wrong with relying on myself?" Natalie said. "I've decided that I'm doing pretty well now."
More than just pretty well?
If someone else heard Natalie say this, they would definitely want to punch her.
She had achieved in two years what some people couldn't achieve in ten.
Oliver smiled and said nothing.
If he could, he would certainly want Natalie to rely on him.
It would be best if she relied on him the whole way and couldn't live without him.
But that wasn't what she wanted.
From the very beginning, it was not what she wanted.
Natalie had no idea what Joseph and Emily had discussed, but in any case, it seemed relatively calm. Joseph would continue to take on this endorsement, and the three of them returned to the studio together after half an hour.
However, they found that there was an extra person in the studio.
Samuel was dressed in a black shirt, with small designs on the cuffs. He had a rebellious temperament, exuding an aristocratic air.
He seemed like a flamboyant and handsome lunatic.
"This is Samuel," the director enthusiastically introduced, "he will be helping us with the location for this shoot."
Natalie didn't expect that "Supermodel" had purposely avoided the Hastings family for her and completely forgot about the endorsement.
Samuel quickly glanced at Natalie and then looked at Emily behind her.
Emily narrowed her eyes, and her visible mood turned even worse.
"What were you guys doing?" Samuel asked in a hostile tone.
Joseph sneered, "It's none of your damn business."
Everyone: "...?"
Joseph, too, knew how to confront people?
In almost everyone's impression, Joseph was a reserved person. He was neither cold nor warm, as if he didn't care about anything. No one had ever seen him angry.
But today, the first words out of his mouth were "damn"?
Even those who were not sure could sense that there seemed to be some unpleasant history between Joseph and Samuel. No, maybe it also involved Miss Hastings.
"What do you think the three of us can do together?" Natalie smiled nonchalantly, not wanting this lunatic to delay her work.
Samuel's expression improved upon Natalie's reminder.
Right, they were a group of three, not just Emily and Joseph alone.
Samuel's gaze returned to Natalie, who he had been scrutinizing since he started suspecting her and Susan's identities. He soon noticed something wrong-
"Natalie, have you gained weight?" Samuel's words fell, and everyone's eyes unconsciously turned to Natalie, scanning her from head to toe as if with X-rays.
The most important thing for a model is their figure. How could she have gained weight?!
Natalie almost choked on Samuel's words, her face instantly turning dark. "Samuel, I heard before that you're insane, and it seems your brain is indeed not quite normal."
Any sane man would not open with the first sentence to a woman, "Have you gained weight?"
Especially considering she is a model!
"Oh, not really." This was probably not the first time someone had called him crazy, but Samuel calmly tried to make up for it. "Last time I saw you, you were recovering from a serious illness and were too thin. Now you look normal."
Natalie felt relieved seeing the staff around her exhale.
Samuel's gaze was still fixed on Natalie's waist, and he could tell it had become slightly more toned than before.
Emily acted as if she hadn't seen Samuel and sat in the corner, discussing the details of Natalie's shoot with the staff.
Natalie and Joseph each went to their own dressing room to get ready.
Natalie arrived before Joseph, and her makeup had been completed much earlier. Joseph, on the other hand, had to coordinate with the designer on making adjustments to the clothing that would fit his physique.
Natalie saw Mr. Hastings from the Hastings family sitting on a small stool in front of her uninvited, casually propping his long legs and openly admiring her from top to bottom with interest.
Natalie rolled her eyes immediately and moved her body to the side, not wanting to face him.
"Miss Watson seems to have a bit of an issue with me," Samuel clicked his tongue, thought for a moment, and asked, "Is it because I just said you gained weight?"
Natalie looked around and didn't see any security guards or anything, so she couldn't ask someone to drag Samuel away.
It finally occurred to her that this annoying Mr. Hastings from the Hastings family was a guest of the director today, and security wouldn't kick him out.
"Miss Watson, do you need my help?" Casey keenly noticed Natalie's thoughts.
Natalie shook her head and thought it was best not to cause trouble for now.
"I don't want to see anyone from the Hastings family, and you should know that," Natalie patiently told Samuel.
"Well, that's unfortunate then. I've never had self-awareness since I was young, and your agent should know that best," Samuel idly played with his phone, his relaxed and casual demeanor not fitting for a 30-year-old man.
Seeing Natalie not saying anything, he continued, "Natalie, I really do think you've gained some weight. Have you been eating a lot recently?"
"Samuel, do we know each other well enough for you to comment on my figure and eating capacity?" Natalie encountered this kind of half-familiar stranger who made her want to grab a stool and hit him. "Were you annoying during your school days?"
"Who said that?"
Natalie was completely focused on thinking about how to make this behavior look nothing like that of a mature man in his thirties, without realizing the meaningful look in Samuel's eyes as he looked at her.
Samuel didn't mention that when he was a child, he did often pull the braids of little girls, but only his younger sister's.
