Chapter 650 Natalie Is a Gem

Oliver's purchase of the dress, ‘Flawless’, was not without effect.

The fans had come to agree that the mysterious man was indeed Oliver. Once they embraced this notion, their conviction only deepened upon further observation.

One fan observed that the watch worn by the mysterious man was identical to one Oliver had worn during a financial interview two months earlier.

Another fan meticulously compared the mystery man's height and other physical traits in the photo and was thrilled to discover a perfect match with Oliver.

The more they investigated, the more they were convinced it was Oliver.

This speculation gradually transitioned from the fan groups to Instagram, igniting widespread interest.

However, many others were skeptical even if they fervently hoped the man was Oliver. If so, then it would be sensational news.

An astute netizen identified a man in the audience of an hour-long live stream who resembled Oliver.

Although the footage was not clear, the man's silhouette and facial features strikingly resembled those of Oliver from financial news segments. Furthermore, there were individuals claiming to have been present at the show, describing the man who sat beside them as stoic and cold and only showing interest during the opening and closing of the show.

[So Oliver attended the show just to see Natalie?]

[Wake up, people! If that’s the case, why would he sit in such a remote area? Wouldn’t he have been seated in a VIP seat?]

Oliver was baffled by the public's reluctance to believe it was him, which they were usually eager to do. He thought to himself, ‘These over-imaginative fools!’

Natalie was at home, spending time with Tina. She was unaware that Oliver had bought the dress for her until Flora came to pick Tina up. For a moment, she did not know how to react.

“I designed that dress specifically for you. I intended to give it to you, but you declined. In the end, your husband has bought it for you. Are you trying to throw money at me?” Flora joked. Then, she handed Natalie a check and said, “Here, take it.”

"Keep it," Natalie insisted, pushing the check back, "Consider it a gift for Tina’s birth and all her birthdays that I’d missed."

"Mummy, will I be going home with you?" Tina asked, standing obediently beside Flora.

Flora nodded, asking, "Aren’t you happy, Tina?"

"What about Daddy?" Tina looked around, noticing her father's absence.

Flora and Natalie shared a concerned look. They had expected Arthur’s influence on Tina but were taken aback by her immediate mention of him.

Flora Lee kneeled to look at Tina before she asked softly, “Do you like Daddy more than Mommy?”

Tina shook her head. “No, but Daddy said that we’d live together in the future!”

Seeing the strange expressions on her mother and Natalie’s faces, she asked timidly, “Am I wrong?”

The prospect of disappointing the child weighed heavily on them.

Internally, Flora and Natalie cursed Arthur.

‘Jerk! How dare he lie to a child!’

After seeing Flora Lee and Tina off, Natalie prepared lunch and took it to RK Group. However, she chose not to enter the building, instead waiting in the parking lot for Oliver.

Oliver, despite his busy schedule, had never before considered dining in such an unconventional setting as a car. He would have preferred to skip a meal entirely. Yet, this was different. His wife had prepared the meal herself and brought it to him. With this, he felt that he could eat anywhere as long as it was not near a restroom.

"Did you really buy 'Flawless' for me?" Natalie asked curiously as Oliver neared the end of his meal.

Oliver looked up.

"Why would you do that?" Natalie was perplexed; even if Oliver intended to surprise her with a dress, it did not align with his taste. His prior purchases for her Rosewood Estate seemed as though he had just bought the best of everything without any thought. However, upon closer examination, it became evident that he seldom purchased anything for her in black or white. When he did, it was exclusively in one solid color. As such, it was unusual that he bought the dress that had a combination of the two colors.

Oliver asked expressionlessly, “Then, should I have let Roger Wild buy it for you? Or should I let Leonard buy it for you?”

Natalie was speechless. She asked, bewildered, “Why would Leonard buy it for me? He’s engaged to Susan. It’s likely that he intended to buy it for her.”

Oliver smiled icily. "So you think it’d be strange if he bought you the dress, right? Then think about the reason why he might do such a thing.”

After reflecting for a moment, Natalie exclaimed in shock, "You're not insinuating that Leonard likes me, are you?"

Oliver’s expression answered Natalie’s question. She nudged Oliver and said exasperatedly, “Oliver, do you think everyone is after me like money?”

“What is so special about money?”

The wealthy Oliver naturally was apathetic toward money. He affectionately tapped Natalie's nose and said, “Natalie, you’re a true gem, much more precious than money.”

Blushing, Natalie muttered, “People would beat you up if they heard what you just said about money…”

Suddenly, three taps on the car window interrupted them.

Jamie’s voice filtered through.

“Sir, Arthur is here to discuss a potential merger.”

Oliver’s brows furrowed. “I have no time today. Ask him to return tomorrow.”

“If you have business to attend to, you should go,” Natalie suggested as she started tidying up.

Before Oliver could reply, Arthur’s voice rang from outside the car.

“Oliver, I’m not free tomorrow. By the way, is Natalie going to give me a piece of her mind?”

Natalie muttered, “It seems like he’s quite self-aware.”

At that juncture, Oliver had no alternative exit the car, facing his brother with a stoic expression.

“Isn’t Natalie joining us?” Arthur peered into the car.

Natalie was reluctant to join them. She did not want to interfere in the affairs between Arthur and Flora. If she saw Arthur, she felt she would not be able to stop herself from scolding Arthur on behalf of Flora and Tina.
