Chapter 847 The Disdainful Interferer in Others' Emotions

Aurora only noticed Natalie's pregnant belly after she greeted the couple. After recovering from the surprise, she smiled and congratulated Natalie. "Natalie, you're pregnant! Congratulations! You should be about four or five months along, right? I had no idea."

Aurora's eyes sparkled as she looked at Natalie's belly, full of expectation.

Natalie had maintained her figure well before pregnancy. As a result, even though she was almost six months pregnant, she appeared to be only four or five months along.

Natalie was aware that Aurora's focus was not genuinely on her belly, but on the idea of her own future child with Anthony.

"You and I aren't close, so it's normal that you didn't know," Natalie said before she realized how unfriendly her words sounded.

Aurora looked embarrassed and asked, "Natalie, do you have some misunderstanding about me?"

"Sorry, I was in a bad mood just now," Natalie said, taking a shallow breath. She no longer wanted to talk to Aurora.

In theory, since Aurora and Anthony were engaged, it was not surprising for Aurora to be pregnant with Anthony's child. It only meant that the Whitaker family and the Clark family might have to move the wedding date forward.

This whole matter had nothing to do with Natalie. She lamented the fact that she did not even have the right to stand up for Jane.

"Aurora, I'm leaving first," Natalie said, pulling Oliver along quickly.

He held her waist, giving her a warning look, reminding her that she was pregnant and should not walk too fast.

"Natalie, wait!"

Aurora caught up, blocking Natalie's path.

"Natalie, did you say those things to me earlier because of Jane?"

Natalie's expression suddenly turned cold.

"Natalie, I know you and Jane are good friends, but in this matter, I'm not at fault. Do you understand what I mean?" Aurora was pretty and endearing. She had a face that elders would adore. In this respect, she was completely different from Jane, who looked sexy, cool, and stunning.

Natalie remembered Anthony's mother had once described Jane as 'not a modest woman'. Clearly, Aurora's appearance and demeanor were much more in line with her preferences.

"I don't understand," Natalie smiled and asked, "Why don't you make it clear?"

Aurora looked somewhat aggrieved, as if she had been wronged. "Natalie, you don't like me, you're hostile toward me. However, we've had little interaction in the past. You're only angry at me because of Jane. But Natalie, I didn't interfere in Anthony and Jane's relationship; I'm Anthony's fiancée."

Natalie smiled, but her expression turned even colder as she said, "So, you mean to say that Jane is the one interfering in your relationship? So not only should I not be hostile to you, but because my friend 'intervened' in your relationship, I should also treat you kindly. Is that what you mean"

"Natalie, that's not what I meant! You're misunderstanding me!" Aurora said. Seeing how angry Natalie was, she instinctively glanced at Oliver.

Aurora was aware of Oliver’s reputation for being devoted to Natalie, despite rumors of his past unfaithfulness. She was worried that he might be angry at her for upsetting Natalie. Fortunately, Oliver did not seem to hold it against her. She was unsure if this was because Oliver did not care as much about Natalie as rumored, or if he was simply respecting her current status as Anthony's fiancée.

"So what if I misunderstood you?" Natalie retorted sharply.

Aurora froze, her expression one of disbelief at Natalie's seeming unreasonableness.

"Aurora, Jane is my friend. What makes you think I'll take your side over my best friend's? The fact that you think she intervened in your relationship only shows that you don't understand her at all," Natalie said.

"Has she completely given up on my fiancé?" Aurora asked, not out of jealousy, but from genuine confusion.

Natalie could sense the emotion behind Aurora's question—she wanted Natalie to confirm that Jane had no feelings for Anthony.

"There's something wrong with your words. It seems like the public's views have always been like this," Natalie said, "They said that only when Jane gets married, can those wealthy wives and debutantes feel at ease. However, just because she's excellent and charming, it doesn't mean that Jane likes to intervene in others' relationships. Many women share your concerns, but they all manage to keep their husbands and fiancés. Instead of blaming Jane, why don't you focus on your man?"

Aurora's expression grew increasingly unsightly.

Natalie continued, "Do you know why other women don't confront Jane? It's not that they lack the courage, but they understand very well that Jane disdains the idea of intervening in other people's relationships. Moreover, if Jane wants to, all she needs to do is nod, and many men would shamelessly leave their wives and children to pursue her."

"Aurora, it's best not to overthink during pregnancy. That's advice from someone who's been there," Natalie advised, her tone softening slightly, "And please, don't invite me to your wedding with Anthony."

Aurora's face turned pale. How could Natalie be so sure she was pregnant?

Natalie sat silently in the car afterward, staring out the window.

The driver, thinking she and Oliver had argued again, held his breath nervously, only relaxing when he saw Oliver affectionately pinch Natalie's cheek in the rearview mirror.

Natalie glared at him for pinching her face for no reason.

"Are you still angry?" Oliver asked.

"I'm not," Natalie replied, though her expression remained sulky.

In the middle of her pregnancy, Natalie's face had filled out slightly, rounding her features. She was also much more expressive with her emotions.

Oliver, sensing her mood, did not contradict her. Instead, he asked, "Do you know her very well?"

"No."

Not only that, but she also felt uncomfortable around Aurora.

"Were you close with Anthony?"

"Not really. We talked a couple of times in high school," she said. Clearly, she was only acquainted with Anthony because of Jane.

Oliver said, "If you're not close to them, why talk so much?"

'See, this is the logic and style of the third young master of the Windsor family—straightforward and rough.'

"But I'm close with Jane," Natalie said. After a pause, she added indignantly, "Jane said she's done with Anthony, as if her past with him is over and has no significance. But I know that's not true."
