"Natalie, do you see it? Without Oliver, you are nothing, you can't even enter the police station." Hailey came out after giving her statement and happened to see Natalie being refused at the door.
Natalie's gaze turned icy. "Hailey, you're lying. You're perjuring yourself!"
Whenever Hailey lied, she would unconsciously raise the corner of her eye. This was an experience Natalie had from being falsely accused by Hailey many times since childhood.
But this alone was not enough to serve as evidence.
"What nonsense are you spouting again? What evidence do you have to prove that I'm lying?" Hailey, confident and complacent, said, "Natalie, this is all just your delusion of being a witness!"
"Face my retribution! Just wait, your days of suffering are yet to come!"
Without Oliver, the Watson family wouldn't lift a finger to help her, and Natalie would be as defenceless as an ant.
Shortly after, Edwin emerged from the police station. Hailey instinctively approached him, trying to please, and entwined her arm with his.
"My brother ended a life and must now face the consequences. Brace yourself for the worst," Edwin conveyed with refinement, the gleam of amusement hiding behind his gold-rimmed glasses.
Observing the pair, Natalie experienced a sudden revelation and swiftly turned around, hastening toward the Harrington family.
"Sis!" Sophia appeared out of nowhere.
"Sophia, what are you doing here?" Natalie forced a smile, not in the mood to deal with Sophia.
"Emily said something happened at your house, and she's worried about you, so she asked me to come with you," Sophia explained.
Emily indeed called Sophia to find Natalie, but she didn't specify what exactly happened. All this while, Sophia always followed Natalie in case of anything urgent happened. Once Emily made the call, she had a legitimate reason to be by Natalie's side.
