Chapter 776 Trouble

Joy was quite surprised when Natalie began discussing interior design tips during the show. She was impressed by Natalie's profound knowledge of the subject.

During the show, Natalie bought two portions of the snack to go.

Using her earpiece, Joy inquired if Natalie could explain why she was taking the food away and engage with the audience.

Natalie glanced at Oliver outside the view of the camera and replied, "These are for my friends."

As the live camera captured the surrounding streets, Natalie handed one of the portions of falafel she had just bought to Oliver, highly recommending it.

"It's delicious, you should try it!"

The other portion was intended for Casey. Lilian, who had lived in Forinland since her childhood, did not need Natalie to bring her these snacks. Moreover, there was a chance Lilian had already been picked up by her father, Isaiah.

Despite not liking this type of food, Oliver accepted it and pondered whether to hire the chef from the shop or purchase their recipe for personal use, especially since Natalie seemed to enjoy it so much.

In the comment section:

[One bag of falafel is missing.]

[I noticed it as well! One bag is definitely missing!]

[It's impossible that she ate it in just a few seconds. She probably gave it to the friend she mentioned earlier.]

[I guess the friend is off-camera.]

Natalie did not realize her act of giving away one portion of food had been noticed by the online viewers.

In subsequent parts of the show, whenever Natalie discovered something tasty, she bought two portions.

Enjoying delicious food did not prevent her from articulating her insights on the theme 'fashion'. She explored the topic from various angles, including the historical connections between fashion and food, the aesthetics of food presentation, and even the attire of workers in snack bars.

Initially, the viewers only noticed Natalie's habit of buying two portions of takeaway food, but after the camera inexplicably showed only one portion left, more comments emerged.

[If those lines weren't prepared by the production team in advance, then Natalie is truly remarkable. She can discuss the theme of fashion from any angle.]

[Even if it was arranged by the production team, it's still impressive how she covers various aspects and remembers all her lines flawlessly!]

[It wasn't arranged by the production team. As everyone knows, the 'Fashion' team only provides guests with an activity schedule. The lines are all improvised by the guests themselves. In previous episodes, the fashion introductions by some guests were awkward and stiff. They relied solely on their appearance, physique, temperament, and fan support. Clearly, Natalie is on a different level.]

[I think I've found an amazing person! I want to be her fan!)

[You can't imagine how outstanding Natalie is!]

[I envy the 'friend' who's accompanying Natalie.]

"Take a break," Oliver said off-camera.

She had been recording for three hours and, although there was not much physical activity, she had not stopped at all.

Ever since Joy learned that Natalie's boyfriend wore a watch worth a mansion, and coupled with Oliver's imposing presence, she had become somewhat intimidated by him.

Upon reviewing the feedback from the live streaming room and the company, the data was very encouraging. It seemed that the content of this episode resonated well with the theme, and the number of viewers was on the rise. Using her earpiece, Joy suggested that Natalie find a store to take a break.

Natalie, who had an excellent memory, recalled a high-end handicraft store nearby that was included in the production team's planned route, so she headed there.

Inside, she could sit and rest while showcasing the store's high-end handcrafted products to the audience, with the store manager handling the introductions.

"I'm sorry, Miss. You can't enter our store," an employee said, stopping Natalie.

Natalie, puzzled, glanced at the camera behind her and asked, "Why?"

According to the plan, the stores designated by the production team were supposed to allow filming inside.

"We only serve customers who speak French. We can't accommodate you," he responded.

Natalie looked at the man, confused, wondering why he assumed she did not speak French.

"Generally speaking, shouldn't he have asked if you can speak French first?" the cameraman behind Natalie muttered. He was also confused, having never encountered such a policy before.

The official language of this country was French, with English being the second language that most people understood and accepted. It was just that locals preferred French, but there was no issue of discrimination.

[I live in Forinland, and I've been to this store before. The last time I went, there was a customer who only spoke English and didn't know French, but the staff still treated her with great hospitality.]

[I have a suspicion! It feels like someone is intentionally making things difficult for Natalie.]

Natalie glanced at the employee before shifting her eyes to his badge that read 'Larry Cook'.

Larry was not just an ordinary employee, he was the manager of the store.

"As luck would have it, I speak French," Natalie said, looking at Larry with a smile. However, her expression was slightly icy.

Larry hesitated momentarily, his eyes instinctively flicking to the camera before he invited Natalie inside. In French, he asked, "May I offer you something to drink? We have..."

He listed a series of beverage names, all with particularly complex terminology, clearly trying to make things difficult for Natalie.

"I have a suggestion," Natalie said, settling onto a sofa with an unyielding expression.

"Please, go ahead."

"When you're intentionally testing someone, don’t make it so obvious. By someone, I mean me," Natalie responded in fluent French, "I think 'testing' might be too mild a term. It's more like you're making things difficult."

Initially, Natalie had not wanted to cause embarrassment in front of the camera, but Larry’s lack of awareness and persistence had forced her hand.

The store was spacious, housed in a Gothic three-story building, yet there were very few customers, most of whom were wealthy ladies or socialites placing orders for custom items.

"I… I didn't!" Larry feigned innocence.

Natalie chuckled softly. "Firstly, upon my arrival, you instantly assumed I didn't speak French, which suggests that someone told you that beforehand. Secondly, this store was recommended by the production team as part of our itinerary, and they were unaware I spoke French. If your policy truly excludes non-French speakers, it would imply that the production team intended to set up this challenge."

Off-camera, Joy quickly interjected, "No! Our production team didn't do that!"

Joy was determined not to let the blame fall on the production team.

Natalie nodded, satisfied with her deduction, and said to Larry, "It seems you are trying to provoke me, but since I don't know you, it must be someone else using you to make things difficult for me."
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
