Chapter 917 Love You
"Oliver!" Natalie was shocked to see the murderous intent in Oliver's eyes and quickly held onto his arm.
Oliver's handsome face turned extremely dark as he picked up the knife Aaron had intended to use to attack Natalie earlier. The handle of the knife flipped in his hand, as if he was contemplating how to kill Aaron in front of him.
In the baby carriage, Nathan looked around with his little head, his big eyes wide open, innocently watching his parents while sucking on his little hand.
Natalie gently touched Oliver, her nose catching the unique fragrance of her body, probably still carrying a faint scent of milk after holding Nathan.
Oliver gradually relaxed his tense nerves on the edge of the cliff. He met Natalie's earnest gaze, slowly lowering the knife in his hand, only to fiercely throw it a second later!
The blade pierced into the pillow, sharp enough to tear through the pillow's surface, sending feathers flying everywhere.
Jamie entered with the bodyguards and witnessed this chaotic scene. Aaron, lying on the ground like a dead fish, was already half-covered in blood, a knife stuck in his body, unable to move.
"Mr. and Mrs. Windsor." Jamie waited for Oliver's command.
"Take him to the police station." Oliver requested.
Jamie was slightly shocked and confirmed, "Shouldn't we just deal with him directly?"
Jamie, being professional, could tell at a glance that Aaron on the ground was no ordinary attacker.
Aaron wouldn't have attacked Mr. Windsor alone and recklessly. His target must have been Mrs. Windsor and Nathan.
If the blade pointed towards Mr. Windsor, he would probably assess who had the courage. But if the blade aimed at Mrs. Windsor and Nathan, Aaron would have met his end!
Oliver gave Jamie a look, saying, "Are you stupid?"
Jamie, having been by Oliver's side for many years, caught sight of Natalie and instantly realized his mistake. Even if someone had to be dealt with, it shouldn't be mentioned in front of Mrs. Windsor.
In front of Mrs. Windsor, it was necessary to maintain Mr. Windsor's law-abiding image.
Natalie silently watched the scene, not revealing Oliver's true nature hidden beneath his facade.
She had seen Oliver's ruthless side before, understanding that his childhood experiences and current achievements didn't allow him to be soft-hearted.
Jamie roughly dragged Aaron out, causing him to cry out in pain as his wounds were aggravated.
The suite fell silent, with only a few feathers still floating in the air.
"Jamie was mistaken just now," Oliver explained to Natalie expressionlessly.
In the baby carriage, Nathan looked at his father and his mother, making a sound, whether out of boredom or a desire to join in his parents' conversation.
Natalie chuckled, her eyes sparkling. "Oliver, no matter who you are, I love you. I love the person you are, not the facade you put on or the image you present to me."
Natalie tilted her head, looking charming and not at all like a mother of a child. "I have good judgment. I know who you really are."
Oliver raised an eyebrow, about to speak.
Natalie added, "But there are still things I can't let you do illegally. I have to supervise you."
Oliver thought about having Jamie bring Aaron back.
Sometimes, the law was more merciful than the human heart.
Confirming that Susan was still in Tycoon City, Oliver personally led a team to negotiate and initiate a thorough search to find her.
Roger emerged from the clinic.
After months of psychological therapy and physical interventions, Roger appeared somewhat worn out, with darker and colder eyes.
When the subordinate approached, he felt a tingling sensation on his scalp.
Roger raised his eyelids slightly, indicating for the person to speak.
Recently, Roger had been exchanging control of his body with his alter ego frequently, often unaware of what the alter ego had done. To avoid exposing his condition, staying quiet was the wisest choice.
Any necessary information should be reported voluntarily.
"57 has been arrested," the subordinate said.
57 was Aaron's code name.
Roger remained calm. If he was arrested, it meant Aaron wasn't capable enough.
Actions had consequences as dictated in the law.
Roger nodded but then he heard the subordinate say, "57's mission was to kill Miss Watson."
Roger's eyes widened suddenly, a surge of hostility emanating from him.
Roger had once stated that no one under him should touch Natalie.
He hadn't expected that due to his treatment for dissociative identity disorder over the past year, he had been neglecting the management of this dark aspect, and these individuals were being so disobedient!
Roger forcefully controlled his aggressive emotions and asked, "How is Miss Watson?"
"Miss Watson is safe," the subordinate, anticipating Roger's potential loss of control, had obtained the information in advance and tried to reassure him. "The person who issued the task is Susan. She was currently in Tycoon City because her whereabouts were exposed when she was paid a commission earlier, but we had her under control now."
Roger remembered Susan, someone he had long wanted to eliminate.
"Isn't she supposed to be in prison?" Roger hadn't gone after Susan precisely because Natalie had reported her to the authorities.
"She's out on medical parole. Her bone marrow matches Miss Watson's brother's, so Miss Watson refrained from taking action against her earlier."
"Is she a bone marrow donor now?" Roger asked.
"Not yet," the subordinate replied. "Susan seems to intend to negotiate with Miss Watson, but it seems the negotiations have broken down. Susan fled from the Hastings family. Oliver and the Hastings family are searching for her."
Roger didn't care about negotiations breaking down. "Bring Susan back and arrange for a doctor to examine her."
"The boss, Susan has prepared well. If you forcibly take bone marrow from her, you might run into trouble."
"Just do as you're told!"
