Chapter 1013 Bias

Hubert was very ambitious, but his abilities didn't match his ambitions. Compared to ordinary people, he might be considered outstanding, but when compared to Anthony, it was an incomparable disparity.

Moreover, the one in charge of the Clark family now was Anthony. It had nothing to do with Hubert.

Aurora looked down at the patterns on the bed sheet, as if isolated from the world, as if the topic they were discussing had nothing to do with her.

'As long as I don't speak or react, this matter has nothing to do with me,' Aurora thought.

"Aurora had met Hubert before, so she knew this very well. Otherwise..." Anthony paused and looked at Aurora. "Why did she suddenly want an abortion?"

Aurora suddenly raised her head, her eyes filled with tears, glaring at Anthony with hatred.

Aurora's reaction completely confirmed that Anthony was telling the truth.

"Aurora, Aurora, you knew it? You knew that the child was..." Otis sighed heavily. "Since you knew, why didn't you get rid of the child earlier?"

"Yes, I knew..." Aurora cried out, saying sadly. "But when I found out, it was too late! I had thought it was Anthony's, so I cherished and protected him. But... "

Aurora glared at Anthony with tears, saying, "Anthony, why did you do this to me? You clearly knew that the child wasn't yours, and it wasn't what I wanted. Why didn't you tell me?Why do you keep blocking me when I had the opportunity to get rid of him? "

Ann's eyelid twitched when she heard this.

'Anthony knew from the beginning?

'Indeed, it is wrong of Anthony not to let Aurora abort the child, but isn't Aurora also at fault? How could she blame everything on Anthony!' Ann thought.

Ann suddenly felt that her future daughter-in-law becamevery unfamiliar. But, soon Aurora wouldn't be her future daughter-in-law anymore.

Ann had always thought that Aurora was a kind, gentle, dignified yet playful young woman, but this young woman was now so unreasonable and trying to shift all blame to Anthony.

"Aurora, this is the result of your own choice." Anthony glanced at Otis, who seemed to age instantly and looked very powerless.

Anthony had a great impression on Otis, who had genuinely helped his family back in the day. So, with the intention of letting Aurora understand, he said a few more words to her.

Anthony asked her, "Aurora, when you came to the Clark family, you were already four months pregnant. What were you doing before that?"

"I didn't realize I was pregnant before. I had no experience and didn't know the early pregnancy symptoms." Aurora's hand, hidden under the blanket, gripped the sheet tightly, trying to stay calm.

"Then why did you appear in the obstetrics and gynecology department of Paykston Hospital when you were just over a month pregnant?" Anthony had already investigated everything thoroughly. "And you just happened to run into Natalie."

When Anthony said the wordhappened, it always gave people a feeling that he was being sarcastic.

Anthony was indeed being sarcastic, and anyone could hear it.

In such a big place like Paykston, how did Aurora just happen to run into Natalie?

"Natalie and Jane have almost no secrets between them. If Natalie knew you were pregnant, it was equivalent to Jane knowing. You wanted to provoke Jane." Anthony didn't give Aurora a chance to argue, exposing all her hidden thoughts to the light.

Anthony continued, "When you were being pregnant for three months, you came to the Clark family. At this time, the fetus was stable and even showing, which could prevent me from making you abort the child, right?"

Aurora pressed her lips tightly together. Having just given birth, she was already weak, and this stimulation made her look as pale as paper, as if she might collapse at any moment.

But Aurora stubbornly held on, her eyes filled with hatred, defiance, and unwillingness.

Ann, although dissatisfied with Aurora's attitude towards Anthony, she had genuinely liked Aurora before. Seeing her like this now, Ann felt heartache and said, "Aurora, why go to such lengths? You are already Anthony's fiancée. Why do such a foolish thing?"

Only those who were not respectable or small-time celebrities trying to climb the social ladder would use the child to marry into a wealthy family.

"Foolish?"

Aurora wiped away her tears, which flowed again. The she said to Ann, "The only foolish thing I did was not figuring out whose child it was from the beginning, and not getting rid of it in time when I found out it was a child of unknown origin!"

Ann was startled by Aurora's fierce gaze, her heart trembling involuntarily.

Aurora cried out, disregarding everything, "I am indeed Anthony's fiancée. Does he have any intention of marrying me? Even though I am his fiancée, his heart and mind are solely occupied by Jane! If he had given me a bit of attention, would I have ended up like this?"

"So you wanted to use Jane to get rid of the child in your belly, leaving no evidence. And you could also frame Jane in the process, right?" Anthony asked Aurora with a cold smile.

"I don't know what you're talking about."  Aurora instantly calmed down. "Anthony, it was Jane who pushed me. Are you trying to falsely accuse me without evidence to clear her name? You're being too biased!"

Anthony had guessed that Aurora would deny it.

It was common to secretly get pregnant and use the child to marry into a wealthy family in this circle. Although it was frowned upon, it wasn't considered extremely immoral.

However, Aurora would be humilated if such things like plotting against others and designing a self-induced abortion were exposed.

"You should have checked if there were cameras in her room before setting up her."

Aurora suddenly raised her head, her face changing dramatically.

Anthony sneered, not feeling that his actions were perverse at all, admitting it with ease. "I originally installed the camera to see what she would do in the room, but it turned out to be useful in this way."

Anthony asked Aurora, "Do you want to see it?"

"Fine! This was my plan!" Aurora closed her eyes in despair, feeling extremely aggrieved. "You forced me, Anthony Clark. It was all you forced me! If you had allowed me to abort the child, would I have ended up like this?"

Aurora's emotions were too intense, and she began to cough violently, her face looking worse and worse.

"Aurora! Anthony..." Otis was worried about Aurora, but since she had done wrong, he didn't dare to go against Anthony.

Anthony nodded to Otis, who then pressed the emergency call button by the bed.

After a while, the attending doctor came rushing in with nurses, checking Aurora's wound and body data. Since the doctor found nothing serious, he reminded Aurora not to get too emotional.
