Chapter 1048 Five Weeks Pregnant, Congratulations

Roses, just the variety of this flower, already carry an extraordinary meaning.

Not to mention the "specially crafted for you."

"Thank Dennis for me," Jane said with a smile.

This boss named Dennis Turner was a man.

Anthony's face turned icy, as if everyone in the restaurant owed him billions of dollars.

"Does Dennis like her?" Anthony asked the waiter.

The waiter didn't recognize Anthony, "Yes, Mr. Turner used to be a suitor of Ms. Watkins."

Anthony didn't expect that during all those years by Jane's side, dealing with countless men openly and secretly, there would still be one he didn't know about!

Before Anthony could speak, the waiter added, "But he is already married."

Anthony's expression improved significantly. "Then what does this dish mean?"

Married and still trying to be attentive?

The waiter glanced at Jane, and Jane signaled him to continue; she also wanted to know what it meant.

The waiter then said, "Mr. Turner wants to tell Ms. Watkins that while love is good, you should keep your eyes open and not be deceived by the facade of some bad men. Ms. Watkins, look at this rose, it's so beautiful, but it can also be given to you by other men, right?"

"Right!" Jane nodded with a smile.

Across from her, Anthony's face had turned as dark as the bottom of a pot.

After the waiter left, Anthony sneered and asked Jane, "Is he mocking me?"

"You are quite self-aware," Jane answered.

Anthony felt he must have lost his mind to choose this restaurant.

As the meal was about to end, Anthony asked Jane, "Where are you planning to go next?"

"Checking up on my whereabouts?" Jane raised an eyebrow, with a hint of haughty allure.

Anthony didn't deny it and nodded.

Jane lowered her head to drink juice.

Although the restaurant had sent wine, she might have to drive later, so juice was safer.

"Jane, speak." Anthony tapped the table, urging her.

A waiter not far away glanced over.

Jane smiled. "Watch your attitude. If you ask questions so aggressively, I might just leave with my friend later."

"Your friend?" Anthony caught the key point precisely and mocked, "A friend with a wife?"

"So what if he has a wife? I introduced his wife to him, and she's my friend too!" Jane snorted, "Back then, his wife even wanted me to be her sister-in-law!" Jane raised her chin, looking proud and smug.

Anthony clicked his tongue, planning to have Clint investigate who the boss and his wife of this restaurant were!

Jane was feeling triumphant when Anthony, sitting across from her, suddenly reached out and pinched her cheek.

"Jane, if you keep deliberately making me angry, believe it or not, I'll kiss you right here?" Anthony said casually, with a hint of a smile on his face, not at all like he was making a threat.

Jane widened her eyes, wanting to curse Anthony, but in the end, she said nothing.

Because Jane knew, if Anthony said he would kiss, he really would kiss, regardless of whether it was forced or not.

From the moment Jane met Anthony, she knew he was a man who either kept things bottled up or acted directly.

But Jane didn't expect Anthony to be so overwhelming when he acted.

After a while, Jane couldn't help but say, "I didn't do it on purpose; it's clearly your bad temper."

Anthony raised an eyebrow, his expression as if to say, "Go on, say another word and see what happens."

Jane wasn't stupid; she didn't try.

But Jane's interruption just now made Anthony forget to continue asking where Jane was going.

Anthony was about to say he would assign a few bodyguards to Jane or have her choose reliable ones when the waiter brought a fish dish.

Jane suddenly frowned, her face changed drastically, and she covered her mouth, looking around. She wanted to vomit but hadn't noticed where the restroom was when they entered!

"This way." Anthony reacted first, half-hugging Jane and quickly heading to the restroom.

Jane didn't even make it to a stall, leaning over the sink and vomiting everything she had just eaten.

Jane always paid attention to her image, and vomiting wasn't a good look. She didn't forget to turn on the faucet and rinse while pushing Anthony away, not letting him watch.

"Jane, don't you not want me to leave you alone? If you disgust me, maybe I'll stop wanting you." Anthony didn't understand how someone so concerned with their image could think.

After a while, Jane finally finished vomiting, dry heaving a few times with nothing left in her stomach.

When she stopped, her face was pale.

Jane cupped her hands to rinse her mouth, weakly complaining to Anthony. "My vomit shouldn't disgust you."

When Jane was sick before, Anthony had seen her vomit.

"Let's go to the hospital." Anthony held Jane's waist with one hand to prevent her from collapsing from weakness and used the other to call a bodyguard to bring the car around.

"No." Jane didn't like hospitals. "It's probably just because I didn't rest well last night; the hotel bed was uncomfortable," Jane frowned and complained. She looked so delicate.

Anthony clicked his tongue, took a hot towel from the waiter who had followed them, and wiped Jane's mouth, mocking her, "If you didn't come here alone, you wouldn't have to stay in a bad place."

Anthony looked cold, but his actions in taking care of Jane were not unfamiliar.

Calling a business suite in a five-star hotel "bad" would infuriate ordinary people.

Jane didn't respond to Anthony.

After vomiting, Jane's stomach was empty, but she had no appetite and just wanted to go back and rest.

"In my current state, you shouldn't want me to continue being your driver, right? After all, my life is valuable, and so is yours. I'll just take a cab back to the hotel."

A sick person driving would exponentially increase the chances of an accident.

"Stop talking nonsense." Anthony had the bodyguard bring a sedan, stuffed Jane into the back seat, and got in himself, with the bodyguard driving.

Jane gave the name of her hotel, but she wasn't feeling well and took a long time to realize. "This isn't the way to my hotel."

"We are not going back to the hotel," he said.

The Bentley stopped at the entrance of a private hospital.

Anthony said, "I'm taking you to the hospital."

"I don't want to go to the hospital." Jane frowned unhappily, "Take me back. Or I'll go back myself."

Anthony had already grabbed Jane's wrist, lifting her and carrying her directly to the emergency room.

Two bodyguards followed closely.

Anthony held her so steadily that Jane couldn't struggle free. She said, "Anthony Clark, let me go! I'm fine! People will think I'm crazy for coming to the hospital just because I vomited once!"

"No one would dare call you crazy," Anthony replied expressionlessly.

The emergency room doctor heard the word "vomit" and looked at Jane and Anthony a few more times.

"Besides vomiting, any other discomfort?" the doctor asked while recording the medical history.

Jane was speechless. "No. I just didn't rest well. Other than vomiting once today, everything else is normal."

"What's your relationship with the patient, boyfriend?" the doctor asked Anthony.

Before Jane could speak, she heard Anthony nod and say yes, and she cursed in her heart, 'How shameless.'

The doctor nodded and turned to Jane. "When was your last period?"

"It didn't come last month." Jane froze, her voice stopping abruptly.

The doctor finished writing the last word in the medical record and handed it to Anthony. "I suggest going to the gynecology department for a test; you might be pregnant."

"Pregnant?" Jane's voice trembled, and her already pale face turned even whiter.

Anthony quickly recalled his past with Jane, then took the medical record. "Thank you, doctor."

This private hospital had lab staff on duty at night. After Jane had her blood drawn, the doctor took the sample to test for HCG, and she was still in a daze.

It wasn't until the nurse called Jane into the diagnosis room and the doctor told her, "You are about five weeks pregnant, congratulations."
