Chapter 515

Emily Reed was relentless when she put someone down, "What's the matter, Miss Sharon? Do you think your progress in half a year was decent enough to mean you can trample over Natalie and take her place? Let me make it clear that even if you were handed Natalie’s contracts on a silver platter, you couldn’t handle them!"

Natalie was now working with top brands on international campaigns, while Sharon, who was still hustling in the local scene, couldn't even come close to Natalie’s level.

Pulling Natalie off her pedestal was just a result of petty jealousy.

"Miss Reed, you... why must you speak so harshly!" Sharon fumed, humiliated in public by a top agent, which reduced her credibility and ultimately led her to seethe in anger, yet she dared not retort.

Emily Reed wasn't just a top agent; she was from an influential family as well.

"Oh, you certainly don't know me, dear. Those who deal with me are quite aware that I can be much harsher. Would you care to find out?” Emily Reed stood unbothered, arms folded across her chest, even sporting a smile.

Emily Reed has always been upfront with people, never one to beat around the bush—whether it came to her professional expertise or family background, she's confident in calling it like it is.

Natalie suddenly released Emily Reed’s hand, capturing everyone's attention. With a graceful flick of her long dress, the hem fluttered just above her knees, sending ripples through the fabric like the petals of a flower in the breeze. The porcelain-like fairness of her skin flashed before the onlookers, showcasing the beautiful lines and slender silhouette of her legs.

“Wow! Those are indeed Natalie's legs!” one spectator exclaimed.

It was well known that Natalie's legs were considered the best in the modeling business, perfect in contour and complexion, but many were seeing them up close for the first time.

A flash of red and white, beauty so breathtaking it could stop your heart.

"Do you see any issues?" Natalie asked the crowd with a cool, polite smile that carried an undercurrent of distance.

The few who had been at odds with Natalie earlier exchanged uneasy glances, now falling silent.

The crowd's eyes then turned to Sharon, their looks tinged with a hint of disdain.

"I apologize, Natalie. I was just being cautious," the director who had spoken earlier said somewhat awkwardly, casting a glance at Sharon.

"Natalie, what are you trying to prove? I was commenting on the odd way you were walking, not your legs," Sharon said with a strained composure.

"How in the world do you speak to people?" Mr. Green finally broke his silence. He pointed at Sharon, a mix of indignation and rebuke in his voice, "Slandering my love, young lady, shame on you!"

"Oh, Mr. Green finally understands what we're talking about and now he jumps to someone's defense?" someone teased.

"My love is never wrong!" Mr. Green declared loudly, wanting to be heard.

Attention shifted from Natalie's legs back to the gossip about her recent split with Oliver. The scene was filled with mockery and felt quite spectacular.

Natalie was not interested in being a spectator's pawn.

"I think it's time for me now. Have fun, everyone. I'm leaving."

Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
