Chapter 882 Recognizing Others as Dads, Isn't That a Loss?
Oliver would spend time to be with Nathan every day, even if he didn’t do anything, he would just sit by the crib.
Natalie once joked about Oliver, saying that Oliver's words were insincere.
Oliver said, "If we don't meet, what if Nathan forgets me? Recognizing someone else as dad, wouldn't that be a loss for me?"
Back then, when Tina returned to the country, she mistook Oliver for a dad.
For a moment, Natalie couldn't argue against it.
"Oh, Samuel is in Paykston, I'll take Nathan to see him the day after tomorrow." Natalie really didn't want to have any ties with the Hastings family, but Samuel was different.
After giving birth to Nathan, Natalie had to admit that sometimes she couldn't help but think, if Nathan had a sister in the future, and if there was a rift between them, wouldn't Nathan be very sad?
In these past few months, Natalie has sometimes dreamed of some fragments, which happened when she was young with Samuel.
Although the scenes in the dream were bizarre, Natalie had a gut feeling that they weren't entirely false.
It was said that everything in dreams is a reflection and projection of the subconscious from a scientific research.
Dreams served as reminders.
Oliver looked at Natalie, raising his eyebrows in a not-so-good manner.
Natalie instantly realized, "I told you two days in advance, not tomorrow." Oliver continued to silently stare at her.
Natalie felt guilty under his gaze.
"Well, how about you come with me?" Natalie thought for a moment and said.
Oliver nodded knowingly, "You didn't plan to take me at first?"
‘No, Samuel wanted to see Nathan, not you, and you were so busy with work, was it appropriate for me to take you out?’ Natalie thought.
When Samuel mentioned wanting to see Natalie, he didn't have high hopes, but he was surprised that Natalie agreed so easily.
Samuel immediately prepared gifts, various toys and supplies for Nathan, and jewelry for Natalie.
Susan brought the nourishing soup prepared at home to the Hastings family company, intending to maintain or save the relationship between her and Samuel.
Susan was well aware that the future of the Hastings family belonged to Samuel, and if she needed anything, only Samuel had the ability to provide help.
"Chloe, why did you buy so many baby products?" Susan happened to meet Samuel's chief secretary on the elevator.
"Susan, you know our rules." Chloe smiled without revealing anything.
The secretary couldn't disclose the boss's whereabouts and events, whether business or personal, especially to someone like Susan who wasn't a legitimate lady of the Hastings family.
Susan understood but started to scheme in her mind.
Chloe only worked for Samuel, and if baby products were her personal matter, she wouldn't dare bring them to the company.
Susan suddenly thought of a possibility: Natalie!
"Oh, this is the soup I made for Samuel, stewing at home all morning. Help me give it to Samuel, don't let him get too tired." Susan changed her mind on the spot, handed the soup to Chloe, and left the elevator.
Susan hurried out of the company, made a few calls, checked with the airline, and indeed found out about Samuel's flight to Paykston tomorrow.
She believed that Samuel really had thoughts for Natalie.
Taking Nathan out was quite troublesome.
Nathan's change of clothes, diapers, bottles, wipes, wet wipes, and so on, all need to be prepared.
The maid packed everything and put it in the trunk of the car.
Today, Oliver personally droves, with Natalie and Nathan sitting in the back.
Since Nathan was born, he rarely left the Rosewood Estate. Usually, Natalie would put him in the stroller to stroll around the Rosewood Estate, and Tina would come to play with Nathan from time to time.
The rarely-outside-the-manor Nathan sat in Natalie's arms, curiously looking out the window. His chubby little hand even tried to grab the window. After Natalie pulled him back, he sat quietly and didn't make a fuss, just quietly observing.
So well-behaved!
When passing by a construction site, Nathan suddenly became excited, pointing his chubby finger at the excavator outside the window.
"That's a digger," Natalie explained helplessly to Nathan.
Indeed, no matter the age, boys were always attracted to excavators.
Oliver glanced at the excavator outside the window and commented on Nathan, "What terrible taste."
With such luxurious cars at home, Nathan doesn't even glance at them, he just loves excavators.
A few days later, Jamie sent a mini replica excavator to the Rosewood Estate, which amused Natalie.
Of course, that's another story.
Because of Nathan, Samuel chose a members-only courtyard-style coffee shop as the meeting place.
The desserts at this shop have always been praised by the socialites, and Samuel thought that young women would like them.
Although Natalie is already a mother, in his eyes, Natalie will always be young.
"Samuel, your guest has arrived."
A child-like dressed waiter knocked on the door.
Then he saw a beautiful and aloof woman pushing a stroller coming in.
"Here I am!" Samuel walked over to greet, but his smile froze when he saw Oliver, "What are you doing here too?"
Oliver's arm around Natalie's waist, looked at Samuel with a mocking gaze, and disdainfully said, "Natalie is my wife, and Nathan is my son."
Samuel remained silent, thinking to himself, ‘Natalie and Nathan were still my sister and nephew!’
But he couldn't say it.
