Chapter 400 Showdown!

The commotion here was getting too loud, drawing the attention of individuals outside. Gradually, many people entered, curious about the unfolding drama. The majority of them were young and wealthy.

At this time, Joanna's friend caught sight of a young man among those just arriving and wasted no time in voicing her grievances. She looked at Jane with a gloating expression on her face as she complained, "Someone's bullying Joanna!"

This man was Joanna's potential fiancé.

Fennis, who had come simply to watch the show, found himself unexpectedly drawn into the drama. He looked at his potential fiancée — with her hair, attire, and makeup in complete disarray — and saw how she had been glaring at Jane fiercely one second, but in the next second, she looked pitiful and meek when she noticed him. The ease with which she changed her expression frightened him!

Fennis had always been ambivalent about this potential fiancée. She came from a respectable family, her appearance and figure were adequate, and he found her tolerable enough. However, seeing Joanna standing next to Jane, he felt like she looked just like a chicken standing next to a phoenix, absurd and comical.

"Deal with your own affairs. Why should I get involved?" Fennis said indifferently, sipping his champagne and showing little concern for the situation at hand. By choosing not to support Joanna, he implicitly showed that he was on Jane’s side.

It took a moment for Joanna to process her potential fiancé's words, and tears quickly filled her eyes.

Meanwhile, Susan looked at Fennis in disgust before she quickly moved to comfort Joanna.

Jane clicked her tongue, looking bored. 'How could someone like that challenge me?'

Many of Susan's friends were easily influenced. Seeing how distressed Joanna was because of Natalie and Jane, and also with Joanna’s fiancé taking Jane's side, one of them could not help but say, "Natalie, Susan couldn't participate in Fashion Week due to the injury she sustained while saving you. However, you took all the glory and flaunted it. Even if you don't appreciate Susan, must you cause trouble here today?"

Another person chimed in, "That's right! Only someone as kind as Susan would risk her life to save someone like you!"

Natalie laughed, genuinely amused. They were still preoccupied with this topic as she had anticipated. They simply could not let it go.

Natalie raised an eyebrow and asked, "So your meaning is that because Susan saved me, I should give up my husband for her?"

The socialite was stunned. Even if that was what she thought, she naturally could not say it out loud.

Natalie applauded twice and continued, "Well done, you just found a way for homewreckers to destroy people’s families.”

"Homewrecker? What homewrecker? Who are you calling a homewrecker?"

Then, realization dawned on the socialite, and she retorted angrily, "Anyone with eyes can see who's the homewrecker between you and Susan!"

"Oh, then it seems like you don't have eyes," Natalie replied. Then, she looked at Susan and asked, "Susan, what do you think?"

"I... What do I think?"

Susan was taken aback. She was in the midst of consoling Joanna, who was still crying, and she did not expect Natalie to be so direct. Her expression changed slightly.

"Since you're pretending to be clueless, I’ll ask again. Between both of us, who do you think is the homewrecker?"

A group of onlookers nearby immediately became engrossed in the unfolding drama.

The scene was set for a confrontation between Oliver's wife and the birthday girl. The former had the support of Jane, while the latter had the advantage of being at home. It had been some time since such captivating drama unfolded before their eyes!

The socialites exchanged looks, particularly those who were not fond of Susan, eagerly awaiting the unfolding scene.

"How... How can you say such words? You’re aware of my relationship with Oliver..." Susan stammered, looking as if she had been dealt a great injustice. She deliberately left her statement open to wild speculation.

Susan's acting was noteworthy.

Jane, however, lacked the patience for such theatrics. She had long since grown weary of these displays. She said, "Susan, you know Natalie is Oliver's wife. It's very evident what the answer is. In any case, I don't think it's in your best interest to talk about this in public. Everyone, don't you agree?"

Jane's words drew laughter from the crowd, and although they did not answer her question at the end, many of them nodded in agreement.

Natalie was, beyond any doubt, Oliver's lawful wife. It was an indisputable fact.

However, one socialite said stubbornly, "B-but, Susan saved your life! Shouldn't you express your gratitude?"

Natalie looked puzzled. "Didn't I already express my gratitude?"

The laughter echoed loudly through the art gallery.

Susan was taken aback by Natalie's boldness, especially here in Tycoon City, on what was essentially her own territory. However, despite her advantage here, she found herself powerless against Natalie. In order to take control of the situation, she quickly said, "Let's just end this matter here. It won't be good if this matter escalates."

Perhaps Natalie might have let the matter go. Alas, Susan continued to say, "After all, Jane splashed champagne on Joanna. Jane's clearly at fault. Jane, you’re not who used to be. It’s best not to be overly arrogant."

Natalie laughed, but her gaze was cold.

At that moment, everyone present was captivated by her.

Jane, on the other hand, kept her gaze lowered and smirked icily. Her expression was unreadable. It was as though the person Susan mentioned was not her.

Natalie lost all patience with Susan. She asked, "Susan, why do you think Jane did that? Even if you're stupid, you should have at least heard and understood what had been said, right?"
