Chapter 233 Don't Come Over Here!

Lilian delved this Watson family daughter through various means, finding only negative opinions. This negative image in her mind was more profound than her idol Natalie's.

To her dismay, her idol and the detestable sister-in-law turned out to be the same person. It was simply unbearable!

Natalie held the pineapple pie in her hands and took a step forward.

"Don't come over here!" Lilian pointed at Natalie as if she was a source of plague, as if she was facing a formidable enemy.

Natalie paused. Her expression was indifferent, and her heart felt numb.

She had never thought that she could satisfy Oliver's family members, but she also never expected it to be so terrible. What made it even worse was that this person was Lilian, her assistant.

"I told you not to come over here! I don't want to be with you! Natalie, you deceived me!" Lilian pouted, tears welled up in her eyes. Coupled with her doll-like face, she looked even more like a middle school student.

When did she deceive her?

Natalie felt frustrated in her heart and thought that Lilian was not entirely wrong. Why bother quarrelling with a child?

Natalie continued to walk forward, and Lilian quickly moved aside, but not before seeing Natalie, who she despised so much and who had deceived her feelings, pass by her.

Natalie placed the pineapple pie on the table in the dining room.

Lilian's crying expression turned awkward. So, she wasn't here to find her?

After Oliver finished reading a document in his hand, he closed it and walked toward Natalie.

"Brother!" Lilian wanted to reach out and grab Oliver's hand, but then she remembered his odd quirk. He didn't like being touched by others, so she quickly changed her mind.

Oliver glanced at the freshly served pineapple pie with a disgusted face and said, "Natalie, I don't like pineapple." Before he finished speaking, he picked up a piece and tasted it. Once again, he expressed disgust, "It's too sweet."

"If you find it distasteful, then don't eat it." Natalie looked at the floor tiles, her expression calm.

This pineapple pie wasn't originally made for him. She remembered Lilian saying that she liked pineapples. So, she made a pineapple pie on a whim. Unfortunately, no one appreciated it.

"Pineapple pie? Wow!" Lilian stretched out her neck to take a peek. No wonder it smelled so good! Her mouth started salivating involuntarily.

Natalie glanced over and immediately looked away. Her eyes darted around, pretending nothing had happened.

Oliver stared at Natalie's face for a few seconds, then turned to Lilian and said, "Since you're not satisfied with your sister-in-law, then go back."

"Brother, how could you be like this! I'm your sister!" Lilian said, with a mournful face.

Oliver embraced Natalie's waist, acting natural and affectionate, and clicked his tongue. "I have many cousins, but I have only one wife."

The Norton family was prosperous, and Oliver had many female cousins, but Lilian was the closest in blood and emotions.

Lilian became even more dissatisfied and retorted, "You can marry other wives too!"

Natalie felt a slight itch on her waist and lowered her gaze. Oliver was tapping his index finger with impatience.

Sure enough, the next moment, she heard him say, "Liam, arrange a plane to send her back."

"Yes!" Liam replied with a smile.

He had been worried that Miss Norton's appearance would affect their relationship, but he was overthinking it!

"I don't want to go! I don't!" Lilian shouted, looking for reasons with her eyes rolling. "Cousin, I still want to be Natalie's assistant. I already signed a contract!"

Natalie raised her gaze and smiled faintly, saying, "Miss, I paid the penalty for breaking the contract on your behalf."

"Why are you like this too!" Lilian stomped her foot. "You were obviously very satisfied with my work these past few days!"

Watching Lilian coming up with this excuse to stay, Natalie felt a hint of similarity with Oliver. The uneasiness in her chest dissipated.

Yet, why should she bother to argue with a young girl who cares about her cousin's feelings? Why should she lose a cute fan and a talented assistant?

After realizing this, Natalie's smile became more sincere.

Lilian pleaded Oliver pitifully, hoping to stay. She had just arrived in Paykston. How could she bear to go back to France now? Besides, she wanted to stay and see what kind of person Natalie really was!

Sure enough, the "Goddess Natalie” online was all fake! This woman didn't even speak up for her fan! What a villain!

Finally, Oliver agreed to let Lilian stay.

"Stay for dinner, then leave after eating!”, he said.

Leave?

That's not possible!

Lilian especially enjoyed French cuisine and bread. Her cousin was picky, but their family chef was top-notch. It was unavoidably tempting for any food lover, especially that pineapple pie!

Golden and crispy, with a captivating aroma that makes one's mouth salivate!

After enjoying several exquisite dishes, Lilian reached out to grab a slice of pineapple pie, but Oliver immediately took it away. Even Natalie, who had been quiet all along, looked up in surprise.

"You can't eat this," Oliver said.

"Why not?" Lilian was puzzled.

"Natalie made it. If you don't recognize her, how can you eat it?" Oliver finished speaking and gave a hint to the serving maid.

The maid understood and placed the pineapple pie diagonally across from Lilian, just out of her reach.

Lilian's eyes followed the pie, her gluttonous expression making Natalie want to laugh.

"Fine!" Lilian took a bite of rice with an indifferent expression. "I'll go to a Michelin-starred restaurant and have dishes made by a renowned chef!"

Liam chuckled, "Miss Norton, you may not know this. Lady's desserts are incredibly delicious. Even our head chef says her skills are top-notch. You might not experience such a tasty dessert even if you go to a Michelin-starred restaurant!"

Natalie unexpectedly lifted her eyes. When did the head chef say that? Why doesn't she know about it? Although her dessert-making skills could be compared to professionals, she probably still couldn't surpass the masters at Michelin-starred restaurants, right?

"Eat your meal." Oliver placed a shrimp into her bowl.

This action prevented Natalie from making a clarifying statement.

"No way!" Lilian said. Her eyes were still focused on the pineapple pie.

The more she looked, the more she wanted to eat it.

Natalie finally understood. Oliver and Liam were teaming up to tease Lilian!
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
