Chapter 750 I Like Him, Not You

Upon hearing this, Natalie was quite impressed. Whether it was Leo’s innovative inventions, independent investments, or the awards he obtained during his student days, they were all remarkable. Even compared to Oliver, they were still impressive.

"Leo, you're 18 years old this year, right?" Natalie, who remembered his age, asked. After she saw him nod, she continued, "Simon had already established RK Group and achieved preliminary results at your age. He earned his first significant amount of money at the age of ten, which was a six-figure sum. He's very smart, often praised as a genius in his youth, and has the ability to understand things quickly. He can even manage work while having a conversation with me. And Leo, you come from a noble family. You're restricted by family obligations, but Simon can make his own decisions. By your age, he already had the resources to make his own choices."

Leo was shocked. He did not know any of this; he only knew that Simon from RK Group was impressive.

"But none of this matters," Natalie said, "What matters is that I like him, not you. Do you understand?"

Although these words were harsh, it did not matter if they could make Leo stop pursuing her.

"Understood," Leo said dejectedly.

Natalie nodded, satisfied that her straightforward talk was effective. Then she heard Leo say, "Basically, I'm just not good enough."

Natalie was at a loss for words.

Leo boldly raised his head and emphasized to his goddess, "But I'm young, Natalie. Don't you want to experience the joy of being with a young man?"

Natalie was completely taken aback. After a moment, she asked, "Leo, do you want to go home and see your father?"

Leo then recalled the words Oliver used to intimidate him using his father, Robert. He shuddered and let out a long sigh. Well, he had to admit, he was still afraid of his father. Compared to Oliver, he was not as bold and lacked the freedom to do as he wished.

Tycoon City International Airport was one of the larger airports in the country, bustling with numerous flights coming and going every day.

After Lilian got out of the car, she headed straight for the departure gate. Halfway there, she paused, suddenly unsure of her surroundings.

'Where's this? Where should I go?'

She instinctively looked for her bodyguard, who usually followed her discreetly. Only then did she remember that she had come to the airport to pick up her boyfriend, and her bodyguards had been instructed to wait outside.

"Lucas, I'm lost..." Lilian said after she dialed her boyfriend’s number.

On the other end, there was silence, punctuated only by the faint sound of flight announcements. The poor signal caused the call to disconnect.

The image of Lucas’s puzzled face flashed through Lilian’s mind. She called Lucas again. When the call connected, she asked, "Where are you?"

After a few seconds, a cheerful but helpless voice answered from the other end of the line.

"I don't know," Lilian looked around and said, "There's a Starbucks to my left and on my right..."

"Eat a piece of cake at Starbucks and wait for me. Don't move," Lucas interjected, advising, "And don’t order coffee. You know it keeps you up at night."

"We can play games if we can’t sleep," Lilian protested, frustrated at the idea of being in Starbucks without ordering a cup of coffee. She thought the cakes there were mediocre compared to those Natalie made.

Lucas glanced at the baggage claim area and spotted his luggage. He walked over and pulled down his suitcase with one hand, replying, "Do you think if we don’t sleep, I’ll just let you play games all night? Why don’t you spend more time reading instead of watching soap operas? Aren’t you worried my sister will think you’re not well educated?"

Lillian would not admit defeat. She countered seriously, "Lucas, you can call me silly, and I admit that, but you can’t insult my education. I graduated from a top international university with a dual bachelor's degree!"

‘Fine, she’s amazing. I don’t know what else to say. After all, she’s my girlfriend, even if she’s a bit silly… Well, it’s better to be a little silly. What else can I do?’ Lucas thought to himself in resignation.

Ten minutes later, Lucas arrived at Starbucks but did not find Lilian. He called her, asking, "Where are you?"

Lilian turned around to confirm her location before she said, "Ah, I'm in the Burberry store. I saw a really nice scarf!"

"It's summer now. Why are you looking at scarves?"

"It looks nice! Besides, I won't wear it now anyway," Lilian replied to Lucas before turning to the store clerk and said, "I'll take this one. Wrap it up!"

Lucas was left speechless. He sometimes wondered if, despite his wealth, he might one day find it challenging to afford Lilian's tastes. However, it had to be said that she did not spend any of his money.

Lilian, coming from a wealthy family, was indifferent to money. She saw no issue with spending her boyfriend's money but preferred using her own money to buy things for him. She felt she had ‘forced’ her brilliant boyfriend to be with her. Luckily, she was beautiful, which was definitely a bonus!

Lucas again warned Lilian to stay where she was and not wander off. This time, nothing unexpected happened, and he soon spotted Lilian in the Gucci store across from Burberry.

"Lucas!"

The young woman dropped the three paper bags she was carrying onto the counter and rushed toward Lucas.

Lucas quickly let go of his suitcase and opened his arms to catch Lilian.

Lilian was petite, so instead of a usual hug… she leaped into his arms and wrapped her legs around his waist.

"Ah! It seems like tall people have fresher air to breathe!" Lilian exclaimed with satisfaction, wrapping her arms around Lucas's neck and tilting her head to look at him with a smile as she asked, "Lucas, did you miss me?"

Lucas, ever the laid-back type, supported her with one hand while adjusting the suitcase with the other to clear the path.

"I missed you," he said, smiling casually and elegantly with a hint of the mischief typical of youth, "Did you gain weight? My sister must be taking good care of you."

"Am I fat? Can't you speak nicely?" Lilian retorted, thinking to herself, ‘He never knows how to speak, otherwise, why would he keep calling me dumb? Whatever. I’m magnanimous, so I won’t argue with him.’

While passing a shop window with a mirror, Lilian caught a glimpse of herself and paused, examining her reflection with a frown, turning from side to side.

"What are you looking at?" Lucas asked, placing the silk scarf Lilian had bought and two other bags on top of the luggage, one hand pulling the suitcase and the other holding her securely.
