Chapter 178 Get Out of My House
The Rolls-Royce continued its journey, surrounded by the hustle and bustle typical of a workday.
Lucas, endowed with a natural intelligence and a photographic memory, quickly deduced that their destination was the hospital.
As anticipated, five minutes later, the Rolls-Royce arrived at Paykston's most prestigious private hospital.
"Do you really think I need to be checked?" Lucas asked Oliver with a hint of suspicion, sensing that Oliver might have hidden motives.
"Just go in!" Oliver replied with a note of impatience.
The hospital had prepared for their arrival in advance. Rosy, a professor and specialist, greeted Lucas personally. After learning about Lucas's condition, Rosy called upon colleagues with expertise to provide assistance.
The medical tests confirmed that Lucas was in stable health. He was advised to continue his recovery at home with medication, while awaiting a suitable bone marrow donor for a definitive treatment.
Lucas took a photograph of the medical report and sent it to Natalie to alleviate her concerns. Yet, when he turned to Oliver, his thanks came out awkwardly and somewhat reluctantly.
Even before this visit, Lucas was aware that his condition was under control. The hospital's assigned doctor might not have been very good, but the organization had sent a top-tier doctor to secretly treat him.
"There's no need for thanks," Oliver responded with his hands in his pockets as he looked down at the shorter Lucas, “I hope you recover quickly.”
"Thank you..."
"Once you're recovered, get out of my house immediately."
Lucas's smile stiffened, and he nearly retorted sharply. However, he calmed down and maintained the smile on his face as he said, “Oliver, your house is spacious and beautiful, and my sister is there. I'd be happy to live with you forever, even if it means being ill."
"Keep dreaming," Oliver said flatly, evidently finding Lucas less likable than his younger brother, Arthur.

Instead of returning to Rosewood Estate after the hospital visit, Oliver took Lucas straight to the RK Group headquarters, into the president's office.
Despite his maturity, Lucas could not hide his astonishment as he looked around.
"This... All this is yours?"
Oliver, leaning back in his office chair, seemed pleased with Lucas's reaction and nodded with a measure of pride.
"You..." Lucas stuttered, overwhelmed by the revelation.
The secretary brought in two cups of coffee and left with a respectful nod to Lucas.
Lucas said with a sudden smile, "The world thinks Oliver Windsor is a figurehead without real power. By bringing me here, you seem to be sharing a secret. Aren't you worried I’d expose this secret to those who are waiting to bring you down, Mr. Windsor?"
The last two words were said in a sarcastic tone.
"I prefer Oliver or ‘Brother-in-law,” Oliver replied nonchalantly, sipping his Americano.
Perhaps Oliver was showing his trust by bringing Lucas to RK Group. Not only that, but even if his secret was exposed, he was not afraid. In any case, he was certain that the arrogant young man in front of him would not reveal his secret or use it against him. He was rather confident in his ability to judge people.
Lucas rolled his eyes inwardly, thinking that if it were not for his sister’s unwillingness to divorce, he would have little reason to tolerate this brother-in-law of his.

Following the two men’s departure, Natalie began addressing her abrupt departure from Top Avenue. She knew she had to provide an explanation at the very least if she wanted to gain a foothold in the fashion industry.
She first called and apologized to the production team of Top Avenue for her actions before she explained the reason for her departure.
The incident had already occurred, and Top Avenue also had a disastrous ending during the finals. As such, the production team had no time to blame Natalie.
Then, Natalie issued an apology, expressing remorse for her abrupt departure from Top Avenue. She also acknowledged her action as impulsive and irresponsible, saying she understood the criticism and the disappointment.
[This is Natalie. I apologize for my sudden departure from Top Avenue and for letting everyone down. Regardless of the reason, my action was irresponsible. Once again, I’m sorry.]
The controversy surrounding the competition had built a significant following for Natalie, many of whom were keen to hear her side of the story. Questions poured in, probing about the rumored dispute with a staff member which resulted in her departure.
Natalie chose not to address these inquiries, preferring silence over fueling further speculation and negativity.
To everyone's surprise, Robert stepped forward to clarify on Natalie's behalf, stating her departure was due to her brother's sudden disappearance from the hospital.
This intervention sparked a new wave of speculation online about Natalie's background and Robert's motives, causing another uproar among the netizens.

“I said Lucas will be staying with me from now on in Rosewood Estate. Oliver has already agreed to this. I’ll take care of Lucas’ life and medical expenses from now on. Oliver just brought Lucas to the hospital for a checkup,” Natalie said confidently and calmly as she continued browsing the news on her iPad.
Robert’s expression turned unsightly immediately. He took a few deep breaths, telling himself not to shout and curse. He knew she was using Oliver to pressure him. After a while, he said, "Natalie, Lucas is my son, a member of the Watson family. Oliver won’t be happy if Lucas stays with you. People will talk if they find out about this.”
Natalie suddenly laughed. “Dad, it must be quite comfortable for you to suppress your anger and speak to me so politely, right?”
“Natalie, how can you speak to your father like that? I’m your elder!”
“Lucas leaving the hospital has nothing to do with his immaturity. It was Hailey who deliberately provoked him. She said I married Oliver in her stead and that she stole Adrian from me. Fortunately, Lucas is fine this time. But what if it happens again? I can’t trust all of you with Lucas. In the family, he’s the only one who cares about me. Moreover, I’m sure Lucas and Oliver don’t care about what others say.”
