Chapter 844 Date Night!

They likely still cared about Susan and did not plan to disown her.

How could it be so coincidental that Susan resembled Natalie? Also, how did the lookalike, Susan, turn out to be Lucas' biological sister, and how did the real daughter of the Hastings family become Lucas' sister? Was it an unintentional mix-up, or was it an intentional swap? Moreover, could the DNA test really be wrong not just once, but twice?

In short, James and Caleb just did not want to investigate the matter.

After work, Oliver returned to Rosewood Estate with Arthur and Tina. They had work discussions earlier, and Arthur decided to visit Marjorie after they were done.

When Oliver arrived, Liam quietly approached and informed Oliver about the events involving the Hastings family earlier.

"What did Natalie say?" Oliver asked. He just wanted to know Natalie's stance. It did not matter to him whether Natalie acknowledged her relationship with the Hastings family or not; all that mattered was Natalie's wishes.

"Natalie clearly stated that she doesn't want to have anything to do with them, and the Old Madam also gave them a piece of her mind," Liam said.

Oliver nodded, thinking that his grandmother had handled it well.

"If the Hastings family comes again and causes trouble in the future, inform me directly," Oliver said. After a brief pause, he added, "Samuel is the exception"

"Alright."

Liam also felt that among the members of the Hastings family, only Samuel seemed normal.

Meanwhile, Arthur narrowed his eyes, thinking, 'Why is the Hastings family so troublesome?'

"Grandma!" Tina called out.

Marjorie, wearing her reading glasses, looked up from the TV. When she saw a child's figure running happily toward her, her face lit up with joy as she exclaimed, "My darling is here to see me!"

Afterward, she glanced outside and saw Arthur coming in alone without his girlfriend. Her expression briefly turned to one of disappointment.

'How useless!'

"Where's Natalie?" Oliver looked around, not spotting his wife.

"She's doing prenatal yoga over there." Marjorie pointed in the direction of the yoga room and said, "If it weren't for the Hastings family causing trouble, she would have finished by now."

Natalie has strict requirements for herself in prenatal care and physical exercise. Marjorie initially suggested she skip yoga today, mainly out of concern for Natalie's mood, but Natalie insisted. Her mood was not affected by the Hastings family's visit at all and they did not disrupt her daily routine.

Tina's playful antics amused Marjorie, and they chatted for a while before Liam took Tina to play with Natalie.

After Tina left, Marjorie's expression turned icy.

"You two, come here!"

Oliver and Arthur exchanged a glance and followed Marjorie into the study.

The scene was all too familiar; in their childhood, they were often summoned to the study for reprimands. Now, one was a soon-to-be father, and the other was already a father, yet they still could not escape being reprimanded by their grandmother.

Marjorie sat on the sofa while Oliver and Arthur stood obediently in front of her.

"Where's your wife?" Marjorie asked Arthur first.

Arthur smiled and said, "Grandma, I'm not married."

"I know you're not married; I'm not senile!" Marjorie said, agitated, "I'm talking about the mother of your daughter. Your daughter is here, but you still don't have a wife. Do you think that's appropriate? Haven't you won her back?"

"No," Arthur replied lightly.

Marjorie glared at him. "Are you thinking, 'If I won her back, I wouldn't have just brought my daughter here today'?"

Arthur replied honestly, "You know me well."

"Rascal!"

"Are you in a bad mood today?" Oliver asked.

Although Marjorie was not known for her good temper, it was rare for her to be angry. Oliver and Arthur had just returned, but she was already losing her temper.

"I'm telling you," Marjorie slammed her hand on the table and said, "Those people from the Hastings family are bastards. I just don't understand how I became friends with Caleb. And how could the Hastings family produce such a good daughter like Natalie?"

Arthur gave Oliver a look as if to say, 'This is your wife's business, but I got dragged in and have to bear the brunt of our grandmother's anger.'

Oliver looked back without a hint of guilt.

Oliver and Arthur quietly listened to Marjorie, knowing well enough that at this moment, she did not need a response; they just needed to listen attentively.

"Oliver, let me tell you, Natalie is your wife, so you must take care of her. If you don't do well and she leaves you in the future, you'll be a bachelor for life. I won't allow any other woman into our family!" Marjorie concluded.

"Grandma, why do I feel like you're cursing me?" Oliver said helplessly.

Marjorie patted Oliver's shoulder. "I'm just worried about you! Look at your brother; his daughter has been found for so long, but his wife hasn't been found yet. He's useless!"

Arthur felt helpless.

'Why is she dragging me into Oliver's matter?'

The more Marjorie thought about it, the more worried she became.

"I've seen online comments saying that Jane, Flora, and Natalie should team up and start a company. They can independently handle design, photography, modeling, and other work, building a career together. They don't need you men at all!"

"Grandma, you're over eighty years old. Can you spend less time online?" Arthur could not help but say.

"Are you calling me old?" Marjorie said angrily, "Get out! I don't want to see the both of you!"

Arthur and Oliver exchanged a helpless look; they silently agreed that women were irrational, and they could only listen.

After Natalie finished her yoga session, she changed her clothes and played with Tina.

"Tina, since you're here with your father, is your mommy at home?" Natalie asked.

"She's not at home! She's out on a date!"

Tina looked around. After spotting a stool, she tried to climb up, startling the nearby servants, who quickly surrounded her to protect her.

Then, Tina waved Natalie over before she whispered softly, "It's Logan. Mommy's going to see Logan!"

"Who's Logan?"

"He's the uncle who likes Mommy!" Tina giggled, covering her mouth.

Natalie thought to herself, 'It seems like you're satisfied with the man who might be your stepfather?'

Although Natalie did not think Arthur was a good person, she knew that he was a good father to Tina.

"Tina, does Mommy like Logan?" Natalie asked softly.

Tina blinked her big eyes and thought seriously for a moment before she replied, "I don't know, but I like him! Tyler is Logan's son, and he's so handsome!"
