Chapter 779 Everybody Knows

"What are you doing here? Although you won't admit it, I know that my dismissal is related to you," Larry said.

"Oh? Don't you hate us?" Natalie asked, surprised. She saw only disappointment in Larry's eyes, not any hostility.

"It's my own fault, I know," Larry admitted.

Natalie nodded and said, "But you got one thing wrong. I have no intention of denying the fact that your dismissal is related to us."

"So what?" Larry asked.

"Nothing," Natalie replied, "Since I did it, I dare to admit it. I'm just making a statement."

Although Oliver was the one who handled it, it made no difference.

Larry was taken aback. Having just been dismissed, he did not feel like talking anymore.

"I came to ask who instigated you," Natalie said.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Larry replied as he continued packing.

"Who told you that I can't speak French? Who instigated you to embarrass me and keep me out by using the reason that I can't speak French?"

Natalie had been standing or walking most of the day, and she felt tired. She leaned against the door frame, finding a comfortable position before she continued, "Sir, you have lost your beloved job. Do you still want to protect others? Don't forget that it was that person who set you up."

Larry hesitated for a moment.

"It's a good quality to help others, but it depends on the situation, right?" Natalie said, "I'm trying to communicate with you, and if you don't cooperate, I may have to resort to other measures."

"What measures?"

Larry glanced at Oliver standing behind Natalie. He looked strong and seemed capable of fighting. Then, he said immediately, "Assaulting someone is illegal. In our country, once you lay a hand on me, as soon as I call the police, you'll be arrested."

"I'm not a citizen of your country, and your laws don't apply to me," Natalie said fearlessly.

Larry stared at Natalie for a while. Finally, he sighed and said, "You're right. Someone did manipulate me, but you can't defeat her. She comes from the Norton family."

Natalie instinctively looked at Oliver.

Oliver stared coldly at Larry.

"I didn't lie! Although she's not a direct relative of the Norton family, everyone knows she has connections with the family! I daren’t offend her!" Larry said, almost on the verge of tears. He still refused to say the other party’s name, clearly afraid of the other party.

"Is it Nola?" Oliver asked.

Larry froze, and his expression seemed to say, 'How do you know?'

Oliver was only guessing. He had quickly recalled the members of the Norton family. In fact, there were very few people who could be excluded, but only Nola worked in the fashion industry and was not a direct relative of the Norton family. Moreover, she liked to do things in the name of the Norton family.

'Even a mistress’ niece dares to be so arrogant. The Norton family should really teach her a lesson!'

Natalie said icily, "It is her again."

The livestream was frozen on a still shot, and due to audio issues, only Natalie's voice could be heard in the headphones.

"Since I did it, I dare to admit it. I am just stating the facts."

"Sir, you've lost your beloved job, why would you still protect others? Don't forget, it was that person who set you up."

"It's a good quality to help others, but it depends on the situation, right?"

"I'm trying to communicate with you, but if you don't cooperate, I may have to take other measures."

"I'm not a citizen of your country, and your laws don't apply to me."

"It is her again."

The viewers of the livestream commented in a frenzy.

[So hilarious! Since I did it, I dare to admit it! Natalie is so cute!]

[Natalie went back to the jewelry store earlier, right? She didn't want to embarrass the other person on camera, but she forgot that she still had her microphone on. How can she be so adorable?]

[Natalie's thinking is very clear. She knows how to turn the situation around and use that person's weakness against them.]

[She first turns him and then threatens him. Natalie is both beautiful and smart. How can there be such a perfect girl?]

[I'm not a citizen of your country. She even thought of this.]

[Who is she? Does Natalie have a suspect in mind?]

Joy felt that the livestream was no longer normal. Everyone became a fan of Natalie.

If someone else had heard those words earlier, they might have been maliciously interpreted as a violent threat, but no one in the livestream said anything like that.

Could it be because Natalie appeared gentle offstage, unrelated to the word 'threat'?

Threats like that should have been made by Natalie's lover, but the man just stood there without saying anything, which made people afraid.

Natalie was not too surprised when she heard Nola’s name.

Nola had always targeted Natalie, and since Forinland was where Nola grew up, she could easily get things done around here.

However, Natalie did not expect Nola to act so quickly. She found it hard to comprehend Nola's motivations.

Although the Norton family might represent Forinland, it did not mean Natalie should be criticized for not speaking French. She had married Oliver and become a member of the Windsor family, not the Norton family. Respecting the Norton family was not her obligation, but something she chose to do out of respect. Even if she ignored the opinions of the Norton family, it was her right.

However, Natalie thought of Lucas, who wanted to marry the princess of the Norton family.

When Natalie returned, Joy said solemnly, "Natalie, I have something to tell you. I think you may need to prepare yourself mentally."

Natalie stood still, thinking that Lily had made some new demands. "Okay."

Joy pointed at the mini microphone on Natalie's collar. "Your microphone is not turned off."

Natalie did not say anything. She thought she had misheard. After a beat, she asked incredulously, "What?"

"Your microphone is not turned off," Joy repeated, and then she approached and turned off Natalie's microphone.

Natalie heard the sound of the microphone being switched off.

Joy quickly glanced at Oliver, who was not wearing sunglasses, and noticed that he did not look surprised. He was calm, as though he had been aware of everything.

In fact, upon closer observation, there was a difference between having the mic on and off. When it was on, there was a small red indicator. Joy wondered if Oliver had long noticed that the mic had not been turned off from the get-go.
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
