Chapter 438

"I’ve never cared about such things, to begin with,” Oliver stated nonchalantly. He was someone who did as he pleased.

In the car, Natalie closed her eyes to rest, paying him no attention until the Bentley Mulsanne stopped outside the RK Group building.

Oliver carried Natalie out of the car while she remained distant and quiet.

Using the wheelchair through the executive's private elevator proved to be inconvenient, so Oliver escorted Natalie through the lobby to the general elevator. In reality, there was not much difference. When the boss needed the elevator, the employees would promptly make way.

Only top executives were aware of Oliver’s real role in RK Group. However, this occasion was different. Charles, along with two secretaries, arrived early to welcome Oliver.

"Good morning, Sir! Mrs. Windsor, you’ve joined us as well,” Charles greeted before he started reporting to Oliver.

Each secretary held a stack of documents, all important for the forthcoming meeting.

Then, one of the secretaries asked, "Mr. Windsor, would you like me to push the wheelchair?"

Oliver gave her a frosty look and continued to push Natalie's wheelchair himself. His expression clearly said, ‘Get lost!’

Confused by her boss's stern warning, the secretary turned to her colleague, bewildered.

"Did I upset the boss?"

"There are rumors that the boss is extremely possessive, to the point where he would not allow even a woman to be close to Natalie."

"That seems excessive."

Most employees of RK Group were unaware of Oliver's real position. They had seen Oliver at the company before and assumed his visits were related to discussions of cooperation with Windsor Group, not because he was their chairman. However, the treatment Oliver received from Charles and the secretaries clarified his status. Oliver Windsor was undoubtedly their boss.

This revelation quickly spread throughout RK Group, and soon, employees from every department were aware that Oliver was not just the heir to the prestigious Windsor Group but also of RK Group!

Oliver wheeled Natalie out of the elevator, which opened directly next to a large conference room reserved for important meetings.

Inside the room, rows of executives dressed in formal attire were seated neatly, previously engaged in conversations. However, the moment the elevator doors opened and they caught sight of Oliver, all conversations ceased, and they promptly straightened up in their seats. However, their expressions of surprise and whispered conversations somewhat undermined the professional facade they attempted to maintain.

"Sir, the sales manager has a flight in an hour, and we have already scheduled a meeting with the client on their end. He needs to leave within the next thirty minutes to catch his flight on time. Perhaps it would be best to address the matters concerning the sales department first," Charles suggested with evident urgency in his voice.

"Tell them to keep it brief. Everyone has a maximum of five minutes to speak, ten minutes at the absolute most," Oliver directed, "I will join you shortly."

Continuing, he pushed Natalie's wheelchair toward his office.

Charles then looked at Natalie for help, hoping she could influence Oliver's seemingly imprudent decisions. Natalie was known for her reasonableness and empathy. Maybe she could persuade Oliver to take a more responsible approach.

However, Natalie chose to close her eyes, adopting a stance of ignorance. To her, if she did not see it, it would not affect her. She showed no interest in the ongoing situation. Even the prospect of RK Group facing difficulties did not seem to concern her.

Charles exhaled a heavy sigh, lamenting that it was often the employees who bore the brunt of their superiors' conflicts.

Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
