“Because Zoey is so good at makeup, and Jacob is terrible at makeup,” Jane said in a playful tone, which easily de-escalated the situation and prevented others from being offended, “We can only level the playing field by refusing the exchange.”
Zoey chuckled, thinking that Jane’s reputation as the former top socialite was not in vain. Jane was very eloquent, easily controlling the situation without offending bystanders.
"Jane, when are you going to stop insulting me?” Jacob asked indignantly.
His hands shook as he applied blush to Natalie's cheeks. This being his first attempt at applying makeup on a woman, he was already tense. The situation was made more challenging by Jane who kept insulting him.
Jane chuckled. “I’ll stop when you do better.”
Meanwhile, Lily glanced at Natalie, hoping the latter would intervene and exchange props with her. Alas, the latter closed her eyes, looking as though she did not hear anything as Jacob continued to apply makeup for her.
Lily gritted her teeth. She naturally knew that Jane and Natalie's actions were a response to her own mockery of Natalie earlier that day.
‘Who do they think they are? One of them has fallen from grace with her family fortune in ruins while the other is just an illegitimate child who’s about to be abandoned!’
Jacob, having finished applying blush and eyeshadow, breathed a sigh of relief, looking pleased with his work.
He straightened up, and Jane, upon seeing Natalie's makeup, involuntarily closed her eyes and cursed under her breath.
Meanwhile, everyone laughed. Even Lily, despite her displeasure, could not help but laugh.
“There’s no doubt that Jacob is a double agent! He must have been sent to sabotage the team!”
“I have to say that Jacob’s skills are really amazing! He could even make someone as beautiful as Natalie look like that!”
Natalie had a bad feeling when she heard these words. When she looked up, she was shocked by her reflection. The upper half of her face, especially around her eyes, was completely red.
‘Jacob, how did the peach blossom makeup you promised turn into this?’
The exaggerated makeup was too shocking.
Thinking that this was being broadcasted live, Natalie felt as though her image had taken a hit.
While the others laughed, Jacob remained silent for a few moments before he said, “It seems like there’s something wrong with my work?”
Clearly, he had yet to grasp the extent of his failure.
In contrast, Sharon and Lily, despite having less makeup than Natalie, fared better.
Sharon's makeup was impeccable, presenting a girl-next-door appearance that resonated with Grace's preference for a sweet style.
Lily's makeup was only lacking in a specific shade of lipstick, which made her look slightly less lively.
However, Natalie, already dressed in a kimono, appeared ghostly with this makeup. It was an extraordinary sight!
Sharon and Lily's teams instantly gained confidence.

While the crew members and viewers were engulfed in laughter, a low pressure loomed over the entire executive office floor of RK Group.
Earlier at noon, Jamie had gone to Sense University and saw Natalie eating with everyone else. Initially, he saw her leaving alone and assumed she was going to cook for Oliver. At the same time, Sharon happened to walk past him. He had gathered information about Natalie’s castmates, so he knew who Sharon was.
“Excuse me, do you know if Natalie cooked today?”
Sharon looked at Jamie suspiciously and said, “No. Lily asked if she was cooking for her husband today, and she said no.”

"The media alleges they received approval from Susan." Jamie found this situation increasingly difficult to navigate.
Oliver's demeanor turned frosty. "Bring Susan to me."
Susan was from Tycoon City and was without any property in Paykston. Hence, Oliver had arranged for her to stay in a luxury hotel. Despite the hotel's proximity to RK Group, it took Susan half an hour to arrive, carrying a food container.
"Oliver, Jamie told me you haven’t had lunch yet, so I made you pasta!” Susan exclaimed joyfully, opening the container.
Oliver narrowed his eyes and looked at Jamie immediately.
Jamie lowered his head and said, “It wasn’t my intention to reveal that you’ve yet to eat. She asked, and I couldn’t lie. I didn’t know she would do this…”
Upon hearing this, Susan looked down sadly and said, “What’s wrong, Oliver? Don’t you like pasta? I remember you used to like it…”
