Chapter 824 Is My Wife Cursing Me with a Son?

"Are you really pregnant?!" Jane was shocked but quickly filled with joy.

"When did this happen? How many months along are you?" Flora, already a mother herself, got straight to the point.

Natalie replied, "Three months."

The happiness in Jane's eyes faded slightly. "You're three months pregnant, and you're just telling us now?"

"You didn't tell us when you were in Forinland," Flora added, her expression a mix of curiosity and slight reproach.

Jane chimed in, "That's right. Do you treat us as outsiders?"

They felt a bit neglected by Natalie.

"How could you be outsiders? Even outsiders don't know yet!" Natalie laughed and said, "Marjorie is superstitious, so she wanted to keep the pregnancy the secret until I was three months along. I didn't mean to hide it from you."

Nearby, Liam, who had been eavesdropping, felt helpless. Marjorie probably did not expect that in her absence, she not only missed seeing her precious great-granddaughter but also became the scapegoat.

Natalie had clearly forgotten Liam's presence!

As soon as Natalie mentioned Marjorie, Jane and Flora fell silent, pretending to be angry for a few minutes. After a few words of comfort from Natalie, they were fine.

"This pie is quite delicious, give it a try!" Natalie swiftly changed the subject, handing each of them a slice.

"Wow, it's really good!" Jane's irritation was instantly diverted by the food.

"This tastes like the pie from a shop I tried in Forinland that has been around for years," Flora said, giving Natalie's home chef a compliment.

Natalie thought to herself, 'It's indeed from that shop…'

She had also eaten it a few days ago and found it very familiar. Her sense of taste was sharp, and upon careful tasting, the flavor was almost identical! After asking the head chef, she found out that Oliver had paid a high price for the recipe from that shop and promised to keep it for private use. If the recipe leaked from him, he would compensate the other party with millions of dollars.

"Come on! Let me feel the baby!" Jane said excitedly before she began to touch Natalie's belly.

Natalie did not refuse and said, "It's still early in the pregnancy. You won't feel anything yet."

"Hmm, really? By the way, you have a small bump now!" Jane, as if discovering a new continent, stroked Natalie's belly carefully.

"Is that so?" Natalie touched it herself and felt a little; she had thought it was her own illusion before. After all, she looked at it every day, and she had lost a few pounds recently. She felt that her belly was not showing yet.

"Flora, come and feel it!" Jane said excitedly to Flora.

Flora, who was more reserved, felt it for a while and said with the authority of experience, "Your belly does have a small bump. When I was pregnant with Tina, I was already showing at three months. Natalie, you probably have a linea nigra on your belly, so it doesn't look very obvious."

"I wasn't with Flora when she was pregnant. I finally get to see my best friend pregnant!" Jane exclaimed excitedly.

Flora smiled. "Wouldn't it be better if you were pregnant?"

Jane replied proudly, "Why do I need to be pregnant when I already have a goddaughter? I'm happy!"

Seeing Jane like this, Natalie's eyes dimmed imperceptibly.

She knew that Jane had always liked Anthony. Jane appeared to be a noble and elegant queen, but in reality, she was especially fond of cute children. In high school, Jane had quietly told her that she planned to marry Anthony at the age of twenty and then have a cute baby, but now... Ever since Anthony got engaged to someone else, Jane returned to Paykston and never mentioned him again. It was as if he had never appeared in her life. But Natalie knew better than anyone else how deep Jane's feelings for Anthony were. How could she easily forget about feelings for Anthony, who had pampered her since she was young?

"Tina, do you want to feel Natalie's baby in her belly?" Flora beckoned to Tina, saying, "This is your future little brother or sister!"

Tina was stunned for a moment, and then, like a little cannonball, she rushed over. "I want to!"

Flora dared not let her daughter pounce on Natalie, so she quickly intercepted Tina halfway. "Tina, you have to be gentle. Natalie has a baby in her belly, so you can't bump into her in the future, okay?"

"Okay! I understand!" Tina nodded vigorously. Her big eyes were sparkling as she stared at Natalie's belly and asked, "Natalie, can I?"

"Of course!" Natalie nodded, motioning for her to touch.

Who could resist such a cute little sweetheart?

Tina took small, cautious steps to Natalie's side, remembering her mother's advice.

"The baby is a little boy, not a little girl! I will play with the little boy in the future!" Tina said happily as she touched Natalie’s slightly bulging belly.

There was a saying that children were very intuitive, and when they touched a pregnant woman's belly, they were surprisingly accurate in guessing the baby's gender.

At the same time, Liam's eyes widened, his face alight with joy. It was not that he favored boys over girls; rather, the excitement was akin to winning the lottery—any win brought happiness! He quickly took out his phone and relayed what Tina had just said to Marjorie and Oliver.

In the private lounge of RisingKing Group.

Oliver's expression darkened instantly upon receiving the message.

Liam: [Oliver, Tina just touched Natalie's belly and said it's a boy! You're most likely going to have a son!]

'A son? Why a son?'

Arthur, Isaac, and Wyatt, who were reviewing a collaboration proposal between RisingKing Group and Windsor Group, noticed the sudden shift in the atmosphere.

"Oliver, what’s wrong? Is there something wrong with this proposal?" Wyatt asked cautiously.

In reality, the proposal was perfectly fine; it was merely that Oliver was momentarily distracted by personal matters.

Oliver, looking displeased, glared at Arthur.

Arthur was not intimidated. After all, they were brothers. He asked, "What's wrong?"

'What’s wrong? Your daughter just claimed that my wife is carrying a son!'

Although Oliver did not believe in these kinds of old wives' tales, it did not stop him from wishing that Tina had not made such a declaration. Naturally, he would never express this aloud; he felt that not voicing it might decrease the likelihood of such speculations coming true. After all, Tina was just a child; how could she possibly know whether Natalie was having a boy or a girl? She was not an ultrasound machine.
