Chapter 1145 Dogs and Anthony Not Allowed

"You?" Calvin immediately blocked the car door. "No way! I don't trust other men, and I trust you even less!"

'Letting Anthony take Jane home while she was still drunk and dazed—who knows if her clothes would still be on by morning?' Calvin thought.

Calvin looked at Anthony as if he were guarding against a pervert.

Anthony glanced at Jane, who was frowning inside the car, and his last bit of patience vanished.

"Mr. Green, if I wanted to do something to Jane, you couldn't stop me," Anthony paused, then continued, "Besides, what haven't we done before?"

"You two were in a relationship before. Is that the same?" Calvin retorted.

Was it the same as a couple having relations after a divorce?

"Are you going to let me or not?" Anthony's words were already filled with threat and pressure.

Calvin felt that Anthony's implied meaning was: You won't let me? Can you beat me?

He definitely couldn't beat him.

Everyone in this circle knew how skilled Anthony was. After all, Anthony had initially stayed by Jane's side as her bodyguard.

Jane, lying in the car, shrank her neck and mumbled unconsciously, "Calvin, blanket..."

The night wind had made her cold.

Calvin was about to take off his jacket to cover Jane when a piece of clothing fell onto Jane's shoulders before he could, wrapping her tightly.

"Don't worry, I won't touch her now," Anthony said to Calvin. "You can leave."

On his way back, Calvin still felt suffocated, completely unable to understand how Anthony had convinced him to leave.

He hoped nothing would happen tonight.

The car arrived in front of the Watkins family mansion.

Jane was already half-asleep, not even opening her eyes the entire time.

Anthony knew Jane very well; she was naturally sleepy, and after drinking, she wouldn't want to open her eyes at all.

He carefully carried Jane out of the car and walked towards the mansion.

Just as he was about to use Jane's fingerprint to open the door, two footsteps approached from both sides.

Four bodyguards surrounded Anthony.

One of them asked, "Who are you?"

"The person bringing Ms. Watkins home." Anthony slightly opened his arms to let the bodyguards see Jane's face.

The bodyguards nodded but still didn't show any intention of letting him pass, sizing Anthony up and down. One said, "You're Mr. Clark, right?"

Anthony raised an eyebrow, surprised that they recognized him. "Yes," he replied.

The bodyguard said, "Mr. Watkins said before he left that no dogs or Anthony are allowed in the Watkins family home."

"Jovan!" Anthony was instantly amused by his anger. "If I can't go in, what about Jane?"

If the bodyguards said they would take Jane inside, Anthony would definitely not agree.

He couldn't personally hand over his beloved Jane to another man.

"I'll go get Ms. Watkins' maid." The bodyguard opened the door and went inside, not giving Anthony a chance to speak.

They were determined not to let Anthony into the house.

"Ms. Watkins, you..." the maid had just started speaking when Anthony stopped her.

Anthony lowered his voice and instructed, "Keep it down, don't wake her. After you clean her up, prepare a glass of honey water on the bedside table. Have someone stay with her tonight; she might be afraid of the dark."

"Ah, okay, sir." The maid nodded dumbfoundedly.

"Go ahead, I'll watch you go in," Anthony said.

"Yes, sir," the maid replied.

Two bodyguards escorted Jane back to her room, while the remaining two kept an eye on Anthony. It was clear that Jovan had given specific instructions to the bodyguards before leaving.

The two maids supporting Jane exchanged glances and whispered, "Who was that guy? Why did he sound like the master of the house ordering us around? And he seems very familiar with Ms. Watkins' habits."

"Anthony," the bodyguard whispered back.

"That's Anthony! He looks quite handsome, but he doesn't do good things."

"You're really protective of Ms. Watkins."

"Of course, the Watkins family pays me. If I don't protect Ms. Watkins, who will? Don't you know how nice Ms. Watkins is?"

"Shh, let's talk later. We don't want to wake Ms. Watkins."

Jane suffered from a headache and dizziness.

She slept until noon, rubbing her head as she got up, silently deciding not to drink for the next month.

She felt parched and saw a glass of water on the bedside table. She took a sip and tasted the sweetness of honey water.

Drinking honey water after alcohol felt incredibly soothing. She finished the glass and sighed in relief.

"Ms. Watkins, you're awake!" The maid entered the room, the door left ajar.

Jane nodded and casually asked, "Was it Calvin who brought me back yesterday?"

Her memory stopped before she closed her eyes. She remembered Calvin calling a cab, and she even complained about the uncomfortable seat.

Later, they switched to the property's special car at the community gate.

Her consciousness was always fuzzy, and she felt something was off when Calvin brought her back last night.

'Did he talk less?' Jane thought.

"Huh? Calvin?" The maid was unsure. Wasn't it Anthony who brought her back?

"Oh, right, you don't know Calvin. He's from the Green family." Jane took out her phone. "I'll ask him and find out. Thank you for your hard work last night," Jane said.

"It wasn't hard, it's our duty." The maid forced a smile.

'The issue isn't about hard work; it is that the person doesn't seem to be Calvin!' the maid thought.

Jane sent Calvin a text, but he probably wasn't up yet and didn't reply.

After freshening up, Jane walked downstairs, her steps suddenly halting at the door.

A black trench coat hung on the coat rack outside her room. At first glance, it looked like Calvin's, but the scent was a mix of alcohol and eucalyptus, which Calvin never used.

Jane's heart skipped a beat. She stared at the coat for a few seconds, then quickly stepped forward to grab the collar.

In the corner of the collar was a subtle pattern: Clark.

Other than Anthony, Jane couldn't think of anyone else.

The person who brought her back last night wasn't Calvin; it was Anthony!
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
