Chapter 222 Natalie, Die!

These rumors originated because Emily and Joseph were once considered to be a perfect match in the industry. However, they parted ways a year ago, which sparked widespread speculation.

Natalie, though curious, refrained from asking Emily about the matter, respecting Emily’s privacy. Moreover, she had her own challenges when it came to matters of the heart.

The one-month training camp in Milan proved to be fruitful for Natalie, enhancing her skills significantly.

Emily planned to have Natalie walk the runway in the following month. At the moment, collaborating with a mid-tier magazine served as a preliminary step toward the ultimate goal of participating in high-end fashion events.

When they exited the studio, a woman rushed at them, screaming, "Natalie, you shameless woman!"

At this moment, Natalie was walking up the stairs, with Emily close behind, she was unable to avoid the woman, resulting in the woman grabbing her hair. It was also at this time that she recognized her assailant.

"Hailey, have you lost your mind?" Natalie retaliated by grabbing Hailey's hair, attempting to force Hailey to release her.

Hailey, eyes wild with fury and desperation, clung to Natalie.

Natalie had to follow Hailey’s movements to prevent herself from falling.

Emily rushed over, crying out in alarm, “Natalie!”

"It's all your fault, Natalie! You've ruined my life and the Harrington family and stolen my position as Mrs. Windsor. You even helped that b*tch Lyra to seduce Adrian and get pregnant with his child!” Hailey shrieked.

“Miss, please mind your words and actions!” Emily struggled to separate Hailey and Natalie before she eventually positioned herself between Hailey and Natalie.

The altercation left Natalie's hair disheveled and her scalp sore.

Hailey laughed maniacally. Her hair covered most of her face. There were dark circles under her eyes, and her complexion looked sallow. Clearly, she had gone through a lot recently; the current her was a stark contrast to her former proud and elegant self.

At this time, many passersby had stopped to look, attracted by the commotion.

"Natalie’s the one who should mind her words and actions!” Hailey pointed accusingly; her expression unhinged. "Why should you, an illegitimate daughter, have everything? Why did you destroy my life? I hate you! Die!"

Suddenly, Hailey broke free and lunged at Natalie, pulling a knife out of her pocket. She aimed it at Natalie's abdomen.

The onlookers gasped in shock.

“Natalie, watch out!”

At that critical moment, a girl emerged from the shadows, disarming and subduing Hailey with remarkable agility.

Emily hurried to Natalie's side, asking, "Are you alright?"

Natalie, still shaken, replied, "I'm fine."

At the moment of life and death earlier, the person she thought of was Oliver. She had wondered how Oliver would react if she died.

Emily promptly reported the assault to the police, who arrived quickly to control the situation and arrest Hailey.

Grateful, Natalie thanked the girl who had intervened.

“Thank you so much for your help!”

The girl was a little short of 5’7” in height. She was dressed in a leather jacket and pair of leather pants, giving off a cool and powerful aura. Her facial features were delicate and attractive. Although she was not as stunning as Natalie, she still stood out in a crowd.

“There’s no need to thank me!” Sophia said modestly, waving her hands. Then, she looked at Natalie shyly and said, “I’m Sophia. I’m actually a fan of yours!”

Delighted by the coincidence, Natalie exclaimed, “Really?”

“Can I have your autograph?” Sophia asked eagerly.

“Of course!” Natalie nodded. After all, Sophia had saved her life.

Natalie and Emily were required to visit the police station together to assist with the investigation and give their statements.

As the police car departed along with Natalie, Sophia’s demeanor shifted drastically from the warm smile she had offered Natalie. Her expression cooled and became distant, completely different from before.

She made her way to the parking lot, where she mounted a Harley motorcycle and drove off swiftly toward a villa. Upon her arrival, a servant promptly informed Roger of her return.

Sophia greeted Roger with a respectful bow and reported in a serious tone, "Hailey attempted to stab Natalie with a knife. I managed to rescue Natalie. She’s currently at the police station, assisting with the investigation."

“Is Natalie okay?” Roger’s eyes glinted coldly.

"She’s safe," Sophia confirmed.

Roger nodded.

He had tasked Sophia to covertly watch over Natalie. He had taken this measure to protect her. She had been insistent about keeping a distance from him, so he could only protect her in this manner.

"Continue to protect her discreetly. At the same time, find an opportunity to openly stay by her side. Also, spread the news about Hailey's assault. No, forget it. I don’t want Natalie to be the subject of public gossip.”

“Understood!” Sophia nodded.

At the police station.

While giving her statement, Natalie heard Hailey screaming from the interrogation room.

“What are you doing?! I’m Hailey Watson! Do you know who I am?”

The police officer interrogating Hailey shook his head, wondering if Hailey was suffering from delusions.

Hailey’s current state was a stark contrast to the elegant and refined young lady of the famous Watson family. For this reason, the policemen were skeptical about her claims… until the Watsons appeared at the police station.

“Hailey!” Mrs. Watson cried out, clearly distressed as she approached the holding area. She said, “Release my daughter immediately!”

‘So she’s really from the Watson family?’

At this time, Robert stepped forward and asked, “Officer, what’s going on? My daughter definitely wouldn’t do something so terrible! She has a very good upbringing.”

The people in the police station exchanged a look. Their expressions were strange and wry. As it turned out, the lunatic was truly Miss Watson.

At this time, Natalie, who had just given her statement, came out.

Robert was negotiating with the police, while Hailey and Mrs. Watson, separated by iron bars, were together.

Hailey cried, “Mom! Adrian, that bast*rd, has another woman! She’s pregnant with his child!”

At this time, Robert noticed Natalie. “Natalie, what are you doing here?”

“Do you know each other? She’s your daughter’s victim,” an officer said.

Hailey had been so busy cursing the Harrington family that she had forgotten to mention the person she tried to attack was Natalie.

The police officers were unaware of the connection between Hailey and Natalie, so they did not mention it either.

Robert sighed in relief, saying happily, “That’s great! Officer, Natalie is my daughter as well. They’re sisters. We’ll just privately solve this family dispute. We won’t be pressing charges!”
