Chapter 940 I'm Not a Homewrecker

During the month of Spring Fashion Week, Natalie was almost constantly busy.

The Spring Fashion Week campaign elevated Natalie's reputation and status in the industry to a new level. Upon her return to the country, she received numerous invitations and top-tier offers. Emily, as usual, sifted through them, selecting the best or most suitable collaborations for Natalie.
.

After wrapping up the studio's affairs, Natalie decided to throw a small celebration party. Initially, she had no intention of attending, but Barrett, Mia, and others insisted so much that she eventually gave in.

The party was set to take place at a resort owned by Oliver, organized by Lilian.

Although Lilian was a noble lady who was not accustomed to household chores, she had been involved in organizing parties since childhood. Natalie viewed this event as a practice opportunity for Lilian because the Duke of the Norton family, Lilian's father, had learned that Lilian had a boyfriend and wanted to enhance her personal skills. At the very least, she should be capable of hosting a party.

"Sis, I can't reach Jane," Lilian said, running over with a notebook in hand.

The notebook was a beautifully designed planner, with names sparsely written inside. Some were checked and some were crossed out, indicating whether people could attend or not.

"No way!" Natalie, sitting on the floor of the nursery playing with Nathan's educational toys, looked up in surprise.

Lilian blinked, looking like she had something to say but wasn't sure if she should.

"Just say it," Natalie put down the toy, letting Nathan play by himself.

Nathan glanced at Natalie and Lilian. Seeing no one paying attention to him, he lowered his head and started fiddling with the toy.

“Sis, I heard that Aurora almost had a miscarriage, and it was Jane's fault," Lilian said, showing her loyalty, "I absolutely don't believe it! Someone like Jane would never harm a pregnant woman or an unborn child!”

"How do you know?" Natalie frowned, her expression changing slightly.

Natalie had been busy with Lucas's affairs recently and then with Spring Fashion Week, completely unaware of these situations.

Lilian remarked seriously, "Jane is a strong and determined woman. She would never harm a pregnant woman or a child. If she wanted to confront a rival, she wouldn't even allow her the opportunity to become pregnant! That's how it always plays out in TV dramas.”

"I'll have Lucas make sure you watch fewer of those brainless TV dramas." Natalie said helplessly.

" How did you know about Aurora's miscarriage and Jane's involvement?"

Lilian wondered why Natalie wouldn't allow her to watch TV dramas. The TV shows were so good, especially the family dramas in this country. The women in them always looked so beautiful and powerful. Lilian sighed in disappointment.

"I heard it from others," Lilian said. "It seems a lot of people know about it, and some even say Jane is at the Clark family."

The "others" Lilian referred to were the socialites in their circle, which made Lilian's information quite reliable.

Nathan, who was playing nearby, unknowingly paused and gazed up at Natalie with a blend of confusion and curiosity.

Did something happen to Natalie?

Natalie couldn't wait another moment and dialed Jane's number.

The phone rang through a full cycle with no answer.

Natalie dialed a second time.

"Hello." Jane's familiar voice came through the receiver, but it sounded cold and aloof, lacking its usual pride, like a bird with broken wings.

Natalie could hear the rare fatigue and helplessness in Jane's voice.

"Jane..."

Before Natalie could speak, Jane seemed to anticipate her question and spoke first, "Natalie, I'm sorry, I lied to all of you. I didn't go abroad. I'm staying with the Clark family. I'm sorry, Natalie. When Lucas was ill, I didn't visit, not even a phone call.”

Longtime friends didn't need visits and phone calls to express their feelings. There must be some reasons.

“Silly girl, you have nothing to apologize for. I understand you," Natalie reassured, sensing something was amiss. "Are you alright at the Clark family?”

Now everyone knew that Anthony and Aurora were engaged, and Jane wouldn't have a place at the Watkins family.

"If I said I was doing well, you wouldn't believe me, would you?"

“Then, come back. Jane, do you know you have a problem? You never talk about your difficulties. I'm your friend and I can share your burdens. Trust me.”

Jane stared powerlessly at the ceiling. Under immense mental pressure, she answered evasively, "Natalie, I'm not a homewrecker. "
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
