Chapter 880 The Hastings family

Natalie patted Nathan's head, "I'm Emily, come here for a hug."
"I'll call you Emily later." Oliver placed one hand on the crib and the other around Natalie's head.
Holding Natalie, he affectionately kissed her.
"Natalie, the Smith family isn't worth your effort," Oliver said, but didn't stop Natalie either.
Oliver was naturally aloof, but Natalie was different.
Natalie left the study.
Oliver changed his position to face Nathan directly.
The two of them locked eyes, neither speaking.
After a while, Oliver reached out and pinched Nathan's cheek with two fingers.
He scornfully said, "Your mom's face feels more comfortable."
"You go away!"
"When you grow up, you have to protect Natalie, you know?"
"What are you talking about? I don't understand!"
"If you dare to make your mom angry in the future, Nathan, you're done for."
"Mom, I understand that word."
"You're clueless."
Oliver sneered, thinking that Nathan, who could only make simple noises, didn't seem very smart.
Completely ignoring the fact that Nathan was just a little over three months old.
Nathan glanced at Oliver, expressionless, and started moving his little hands and legs.
After a few seconds.
The little guy smoothly turned over, leaving a ruthless fart and the back of his head for Oliver, seemingly saying,” You’re the silly one! Among all of us, you're the silliest!”

Meanwhile at Tycoon City, the Smith family.
"Come on, Susan, let me have a look at you, Susan," Helen joyfully said to Susan.
It was more comfortable to look at Susan that resembled her own.
"Are you feeling better?" Caleb asked Susan, not as fond of her as before, but still caring.
Susan's face was still a bit pale, she smiled obediently and nodded, "I'm feeling better, thank you."
Caleb nodded, "It's good to be back."
James and Samuel stood by, silent, the father and son maintaining coldness.
Susan looked at them expectantly, but they still didn't react.
Susan lowered her head in sadness, took a deep breath, and stepped over the brazier.
‘The Smith family, Susan was finally back!’
‘She absolutely didn't want to go back to that ghostly place, the prison!’ She pondered.
"Mom, can I take a bath?" Susan asked, suddenly feeling awkward, "Can I still call you mom? Because I heard in prison that I'm not the Smith family's daughter."
Susan lowered her head in hurt, like a helpless little creature without a home.
"Silly Susan, of course you can! You've called me mom for over a decade, don't you recognize me now?" Helen held Susan's hand.
Susan nodded at that moment.
When she returned to her room, she found that her room was in the same place, with the same furnishings, all clean and tidy, which reassured Susan instantly.
Susan's room in the Smith family was one of the best located, with the best lighting among the remaining empty rooms.
Since Susan's room was still there, with all the precious antiques inside, it meant that the Smith family didn't intend to replace Susan with Natalie.
"You may all leave, I'll call you if needed," Susan dismissed the servants.
As soon as everyone entered, the moment the door closed, her pitiful expression disappeared instantly.
Susan took some clothes, thoroughly washed her hair, and took a bath with essential oils. If time allowed, she would have had a spa treatment now.
She had suffered during her time in prison!
But thankfully, she was back!
So what if Natalie was the biological daughter of the Smith family? She was still rejected by the Smith family! She still couldn't match her position in the Smith family!
Her phone vibrated.
It was an overseas confidential number.
Susan answered, "I'm out. Would the pills you give me have any side effects?"
"Pills that can give you a heart attack, can they not have side effects? But rest assured, the side effects are minimal, just a slight deterioration in your health." A man's voice came through the receiver.
Susan breathed a sigh of relief. A slight deterioration in health was nothing compared to enduring the hell of that prison.
"I'll be back next week, will you come with me?" Susan instinctively frowned, feeling a wave of nausea rising from the depths of her heart, but she had to obey this man.
"Okay, just don't get caught."
"Why aren't you two happy when Susan's back home?" Helen's expression changed as soon as Susan left, questioning James and Samuel.
James remained silent with a stern face.
Samuel chuckled, leaning casually against the wall, "Mother, my real sister hasn't come back."
Natalie was in Paykston.
James glanced at Samuel in agreement.
Exactly, Susan isn't James's biological daughter!
"Samuel!" Helen scolded sternly, "Don't forget, it's Natalie who doesn't think she belongs to the Smith family. Now that Natalie has the ability to regard Oliver as a support and she looks down on us, the Smith family!"
"Even if Natalie was capable, she wasn't raised by us." Samuel finished speaking and walked out.
"Where are you going, Samuel?" James wanted to keep Natalie, as he and Samuel shared the same attitude, while Caleb and Helen favored Susan!
"To the company office."
Helen grumbled unhappily, "Susan just came back and you're going to the company office. The company can operate normally even without you."
However, Helen didn't dare to stop Nathan, because without Samuel, it might be really difficult to run the Smith family now.
As the Smith family began to fall apart, Caleb was sighing every day, feeling it was a bad omen.
Gradually, Caleb realized the benefits - no need for tedious formalities, no need to be on guard all the time. Everyone listened to Caleb, making everything convenient.
Decisions on company matters no longer required consultations with other families, and the profits that could be pocketed increased several times.
Although the major companies and industries of the group were divided among the branches, Caleb could see clearly that what was given away were either industries on the brink of danger or sunset industries that seemed to have development but actually had no future.
The truly core sectors were firmly held by Samuel.
In other words, in such a large family like the Smith family, most were incompetent people raised by the Smith family.
"Caleb, do you know that bringing Susan back means Natalie may never return to the Smith family?" James felt his father was confused due to old age.
"Caleb, Natalie is your true blood relative, the one Emma loves! With Oliver's love for Natalie, when Natalie is willing to return to the Smith family, RisingKing Group and Windsor Group will definitely have a lot of cooperation with the Smith family."
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
