Chapter 337 Charles, Get Her Out of Here

The person Natalie wanted to see most did not come after all.

Instead of Oliver, the people who were there for her were Roger, whom Oliver had always told her to stay away from, and Emily, who was in a working relationship with her. There were also Lilian, who once disliked her, but now comforted her clumsily in her times of need.

Natalie could not help but smile wryly at the situation, finding a bitter humor in it.

Some persistent reporters had tracked them to the hospital, only to be thwarted by Roger's men. He had arranged for someone to block them earlier.

After the doctor finished examining Natalie, he reported that her facial injury was minor. He assured them that with some application of cold compresses, the swelling should subside in about two to three days.

Nevertheless, within an hour, rumors of Natalie sustaining an injury from a reporter at the airport had spread rapidly, igniting a flurry of public discourse.

The speculation surrounding Natalie's rumored divorce resurfaced, attracting a crowd eager to ridicule her.

Moreover, the narrative spun by some suggested Oliver's lack of concern for Natalie as evidence of her stealing Hailey’s marriage.

Meanwhile, upon receiving a text from one of his subordinates, Roger's expression turned grave. His subordinate just told him that Oliver was at the hospital. He went to Natalie and quickly excused himself.

The 21st floor was for the VIP, which was reserved exclusively for prominent figures.

Oliver was waiting outside a renowned doctor's consultation room when he heard the sound of rapid footsteps. As though he could sense the danger, he turned around and saw Roger advancing toward him aggressively.

Without any warning, Roger threw a punch, his fist connecting with Oliver's face.

The punch, delivered with both force and precision, landed squarely on the corner of Oliver's mouth.

"Oliver!" Charles called out in alarm.

At the same time, Susan, who had just emerged from the consultation room, exclaimed in fear and covered her mouth.

At the moment the punch landed, a surge of panic shot through Oliver. The foremost thought in his mind was Natalie - only she could drive Roger to such a point of emotional turmoil that Roger would punch him.

Roger, seething with anger, grabbed Oliver by the collar as though he was going to hit Oliver again.

Susan hurried toward Oliver.

"Charles, get her out of here!" Oliver commanded, not turning to look, while Roger maintained a firm grip on his collar. He then asked, "Where’s Natalie? What happened to her?"

His concern was palpable, fearing for Natalie's safety.

Roger's anger was also palpable. He said through gritted teeth, “I stepped back so you could be with Natalie. I didn’t compete with you. But what on earth are you doing?”

Roger pointed accusingly at Susan, his face contorted in fury as he continued to say, "You actually have the audacity to be with this woman, right?”

"Mr. Wild, please don’t insult me without justification!" Susan retorted, held back by Charles, her cheeks flushed with indignation.

"Shut up!" Roger shot her a chilling look, his warning clear as he said, “I have no qualms about dealing with people like you!”

Roger did not care who Susan was. He did not know how many daughters the Hasting Family had. Even if Susan was Natalie’s relative, he did not care. The most important person to him was Natalie, and he would do anything for her.

Susan, feeling the weight of Roger's anger, gulped. Apart from fear, she was also puzzled.

Meanwhile, Sophia broke the silence. She said tentatively, “Natalie, there’s something I think you should know…”

She seldom initiated conversations, and she seldom hesitated, making this occasion rare.
