Chapter 908 Break Up

"You felt sorry for Oliver, right?" Susan had guessed early that Natalie would react like this, "Since you feel sorry for Oliver, why don't you come and kneel down to apologize to me in person, make up for Oliver's share!"

Before Natalie could spoken, Susan continued, "Natalie, if you had voluntarily stepped down from Mrs. Windsor's position, not disrupting the relationship between me and Oliver, I would definitely be willing to help you Unfortunately, there are no 'ifs'!"

It was too disgusting to Natalie!

Natalie hung up the phone, still feeling a deep chill and nausea.

Natalie took a deep breath, after a while, finally managed to control her extreme anger.

Just as she walked out of the safe passage, a nurse approached.

"Mrs. Windsor, the patient has woken up and heard that you're here. He wants to see you."

"Okay, thank you!"

Natalie quickened her pace towards the ICU.

Oliver was waiting at the door, and entered together with Natalie.

Having not undergone chemotherapy yet, Lucas looked much the same as usual, just a bit paler, with a drip in his left hand and a nasal tube inserted.

His hair was still there.

"Lucas, how do you feel?" Natalie unconsciously lowered her voice, holding Lucas' right hand.

"Sis, you've been crying." Lucas' gaze fell on the redness at the corners of Natalie's eyes.

Natalie smiled wryly, trying to reassure him, "I was just shocked by your situation. But it's okay, we've found a matching bone marrow for you. Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you."

When Natalie mentioned the bone marrow, she glanced at Oliver subconsciously, signaling for Oliver to nod in agreement, worrying that Lucas wouldn't believe it.

Sure enough, Lucas saw Oliver nodding with a cold face. He felt uncomfortable inside.

"Does Lilian know about my illness?" Lucas asked.

"Not yet," Natalie replied.

Lucas smiled wryly at this answer, quite pleased.

"Oliver, I want to ask you for a favor." Lucas looked at Natalie. "Natalie, I need your help with this too."

Oliver instinctively frowned. When Lucas said something like this, it definitely wasn't a good sign.

Even Natalie sensed this.

The two remained silent for a moment.

Lucas continued, "Tell Lilian that I don't like her anymore. I want to break up."

"Lucas!" Natalie's voice turned stern as she felt a sudden panic. "Don't be so negative. We've found a bone marrow donor, you'll be fine!"

"Susan, right?" Lucas asked calmly.

Natalie and Oliver both glanced sideways.

Oliver sensed something was amiss. He had kept the information about Susan being the bone marrow donor tightly guarded.

Even if Lucas had connections, it wouldn't be possible to find out so quickly, at least not that quickly.

"How do you know?" Natalie asked.

"Susan told me."

Natalie was both puzzled and wary. "Why did she tell you this?"

Lucas thought, 'Probably she was trying to sow discord.'.

"It doesn't matter why she told you. Lucas, rest assured, she will agree to donate bone marrow. why are you looking at me like that?"

Lucas suddenly looked very sad as he gazed at Natalie. " A person like her won't easily agree to save me."

If she was willing to save him, she wouldn't have said those things specifically.

Susan knew he was her own brother.

On the night of Lucas' illness, in a state of confusion, he received feedback from the organization. Susan and he were siblings undoubtedly!

"She just wants to make some demands. I'll satisfy her." If Susan could save Lucas' life, Natalie would give up her dignity.

It was not like she would lose a piece of skin or flesh.

But the person in front of her was her brother, whom she had gone through hardships with for many years!

"Natalie, please, don't go!" Lucas' eyes welled up with tears as he pleaded, "Don't bow down to someone as cold-blooded and malicious as Susan. I don't want to trade your pride for my worthless life."

"What do you mean? Don't speak like that!" Natalie was so anxious that tears welled up in her eyes.

She didn't allow her beloved younger brother to treat himself so lightly!

" What if I were Susan's brother?"

"What?"

Natalie was shocked and stood still, unable to react for a while.

She suspected her ears were playing tricks on her.

"Sis, the reason why Susan and I were a bone marrow match isn't a one-in-a-million stroke of luck, it's because we're blood relatives." Lucas wrested his hand from Natalie's grip, put it back under the blanket, and clenched the sheet tightly.

Natalie looked at her empty palm, blinked.

With a heartless tone, he continued, "Sis, I'm Susan's blood relative. I'm not worth you abandoning your pride to negotiate with her. Don't worry about me. Comfort Lilian for me, can you? She listens to you the most."

"Lucas." Tears welled up in Natalie's eyes. Her voice suddenly turned cold, "You don't want me as your sister anymore?"

"Natalie!"

"If you don't want me to take care of you, why do you still call me sis?" Natalie, always being gentle with friends and family, especially with Lucas, was yelling at him for the first time.

After saying that, she slammed the door and left.

Oliver shot Lucas a look and followed Natalie out.

Natalie didn't go far. She sat on a bench outside, hunched over, her face buried in her knees, and she curled up in a pitiful ball.

"Natalie." Oliver pulled her up and saw her tear-streaked face, as if she had suffered a great injustice.
.
" I'm here." Oliver tenderly embraced her, holding her tightly.

Sobs came from Natalie in Oliver's arms, even more heartbreaking than when Natalie saw the haggard Lucas in the ICU.

"Oliver, Lucas doesn't want me anymore."

She could hardly speak through her tears.

"It's not like that," Oliver gently stroked Natalie's hair, patiently saying.

"It is!"

Every woman has unreasonable moments

"Yes, he's being disobedient," Oliver changed his tone, agreeing with her, "I'll go in and teach him a lesson."

Natalie raised her tear-filled eyes, looking warily at Oliver.

"What, are you afraid I'll go in and beat him?" Oliver was both annoyed and amused. "No, don't worry."

But he could beat Lucas in the future.

"You sit outside for a while, I'll talk to him." Oliver nodded at Natalie, gesturing to the nearby bodyguards to keep an eye on her.

Lucas hadn't expected the door to the ward to be opened so soon.

"Ready to die?" Oliver entered and saw Lucas looking ashen, closing the door behind him.
