Chapter 250 You're Abusing Me
Lilian sat on the carpet and sobbed uncontrollably. Her shoulders trembled, and tears were falling from her eyes like beads.
Lucas pinched his nose bridge, feeling a bit of a headache coming on.
Why is she crying again? Did he really scare her?
"Don't cry... I'm Natalie's younger brother. My sister asked me to look after you. That girlfriend comment was a joke. I'm not interested in someone underage like you," he explained, slightly softening his voice.
The young girl on the floor looked up, her tearful eyes glaring at him. "I'm of age! In my country, I'm considered an adult at 16!"
Lilian wiped away her tears, still sitting on the floor. When she stood up, she felt a bit dizzy. She swayed before regaining her balance and pushed him away with her hand.
"I want to go find my cousin. Don't stand in my way. I'm not familiar with Natalie, and she has no right to control me. Move!"
Initially, Lucas thought this "little penguin" was a bit cute, but when he heard her say she didn't recognize Natalie as her sister-in-law, he finally understood why his sister repeatedly told him on the phone, "No matter what she says, don’t get offended, and don't take it to heart."
"You think I'm interested in Oliver? Your cousin is not even up to my sister's standards." Lucas's voice instantly turned cold, his expression tense.
"What did you say?! You... You're not welcome here, get out!" Lilian angrily pointed at the door.
Lucas coldly chuckled and turned around. He opened the door, tinkered with the lock for a moment, and closed it again. For Lucas, a mechanical genius, adjusting a password lock was a piece of cake.
He then walked straight into the apartment, ignoring Lilian.
"Hey! This is an illegal intrusion into someone's residence! I'll report you!" Lilian declared, stomped her foot in anger, her face flushed.
Lilian tried calling Oliver several times but couldn’t reach him. She considered going to her cousin's place. But unexpectedly, she couldn’t open the security door, no matter what she tried!
Lucas sat on the sofa, casually resting his long legs, while surveying the apartment and furrowing his brow. "You can’t leave now."
"What did you do?" Lilian asked angrily.
Lucas found the remote control and turned on the TV to watch an NBA game. In a leisurely manner, he said, "Only intelligent people can open this door."
"The Emperor's New Clothes, is that what this reminds you of? Only intelligent people can see it?" Lilian scoffed.
Childish!
Lilian was getting frustrated. "Why do you care if I go to my brother? Mind your own business! And stop being so aggressive! I don’t want you to meddle!”
“You think I want to meddle in your affairs? If it weren’t for my sister, I would have thrown you out immediately!" Lucas's anger rose as he growled. Oliver was not a good person, and his sister wasn't lovable either.
Lilian shivered in fear. This guy was truly menacing!
"You, you, you..." Lilian took a deep breath and asked, "What's your name?"
She couldn't communicate well with him because she didn't even know his name.
"You can call me brother." Lucas restrained himself. He didn’t want to argue with such a spoiled and naive girl who grew up in luxury.
"Hmph!" She refused to call him brother. Shameless of him!
As Lucas looked at the apartment, he became more and more disgusted by the pillows strewn around the sofa, dolls on the carpet, snacks and takeout boxes piled up on the coffee table, all in a mess... Lucas's pupils contracted when he spotted a pink bra under the pillow!
"Lilian, clean your room!" How can someone live like this?
Lilian understood he was saying her room was messy.
Where is it messy?
She believed her room was messy in a tasteful way, with a perfect level of organization. She could find whatever she needed right away!
"If you find my house disgusting, then just leave! I don't want you to stay!" Lilian pouted and sat down on the carpet.
Lucas was incredibly repulsed. Indeed, she was a little princess raised with a silver spoon.
"Lilian, let me tell you, if you don't clean up your room, you won't have dinner tonight. And don't even think about leaving the house," Lucas said, his tone firm.
"You're mistreating me?!" Lilian couldn’t believe it.
She can't cook, and if she can't open the door, she can't order takeout, which means no food.
Wait, if she can't open the door, she can't go see her cousin either.
What a jerk!
Lucas glanced at her and suggested, "You can complain about me to my sister, but considering how much you dislike her and how ineffective complaining is, you probably won't do it."
Lilian initially wanted to confide in Natalie.
She was about to complain, but after Lucas said those words, how could she still make the call? That would be like slapping herself in the face!
Lilian was furious. Neither of the siblings were good people! They both bullied her!
This was supposed to be her apartment, but now she had to be at the mercy of others. This audacious teenager, who trespassed into her home, was acting like he owned the place.
But no matter how angry she was, she couldn't beat Lucas.
Lilian had never cleaned up the house by herself before. It had always been the maids.
Luckily, Lilian was quite intelligent. She learned how the maids used to clean the house and mimicked their actions.
Lucas sat on the sofa, watching NBA games while observing Lilian doing the housework.
Lilian was naturally cute, with a small stature. She busily moved around the living room, dressed in pink clothes, resembling a pink cloud floating around.
Lucas glanced at her a few more times and found her more pleasing to the eye, even a bit adorable.
As it was almost time for dinner, Lucas went to the kitchen to see what ingredients were available.
Lilian's final task was to tidy up her bedroom. She took out all the clothes piled up into a mess, neatly folded them, and put them back in the wardrobe, organized by category.
She was quite capable. She could do anything if she was willing.
Just as Lilian arrived in the living room, a strong aroma of food reached her nose.
"Wow! What is this? It smells so good!" When she saw the delicious food, Lilian instantly forgot her previous dislike for Lucas. After all, she was starving.
"Seafood stew. Haven't you had it before?" Lucas asked, feeling silly for even asking. Clearly, this person had never tasted such a common stew before.
