Chapter 806 Call the Doctor for Help if You Feel Uncomfortable
"But Casey is still in the operating room," Lilian replied.
Although Lilian had a good relationship with Casey too, she still favored Natalie.
After all, the one lying on the bed was Natalie, who still had a baby in her belly.
Natalie insisted, "Lilian, Casey got injured because of me. I'm very worried about her. Can you wait for her outside the operating room on my behalf? Please come back and tell me the news as soon as possible."
"Okay, then you have to lie down obediently. If you feel uncomfortable, remember to call the doctor," Lilian reminded. She was always obedient. She just didn't want Natalie to be alone in the ward.
After taking two steps, she came back and reminded her, "Natalie, the doctor said you can't get out of bed. You're already bleeding, so you have to lie down all the time. If you need anything, use the call button on the bedside table and the nurse will come."
Natalie nodded.
As soon as Lilian left, Natalie picked up her own phone and called the first number on the caller ID.
Natalie said, "Hello."
"Mrs. Windsor, didn't you doubt what I said? Why are you calling me now?" Helen's voice was full of arrogance.
Natalie demanded, "Repeat what you said earlier."
On her way from the fashion show to the hospital, Natalie received a phone call from Helen. However, at that time, she was only concerned about Casey's serious injury and the baby, so she didn't pay much attention to Helen's words.
Helen answered, "I said I know who matches your brother's bone marrow."
Natalie remembered what Helen had said.
Natalie replied, "You mean Susan."
"Of course," Helen said. "You don't have to worry about me lying to you. If you don't believe me, you can ask your man, Oliver."
Natalie instantly felt a bone-chilling coldness, as if the touch on her back was not the blanket, but a cold, hard ice block.
"You mean Oliver also knows about this?" Natalie finally spoke after a long pause.
Even though she tried to control her emotions, Helen could still hear the hoarseness in her voice.
At fifty years old, Helen had learned from decades of life experience how to read someone's facial expressions.
"You don't know? You really don't know?" Helen laughed heartily. She finally understood why Susan was so confident. Her honey was saved!
"Natalie, you're so pitiful. Oliver has been hiding this from you until now. Oliver has known for a long time that Lucas and Susan are a bone marrow match, but he didn't tell you," Helen deliberately said, "Guess why he didn't tell you? Is it because he didn't want to hurt my daughter and didn't care about your brother's life?
"Ha ha ha, it's really funny. I thought Oliver loved you so much. How could someone like him, who is naturally cold, even have love? Moreover, you're just an illegitimate child with an unknown origin!
"Oliver has been hiding this from you until now.
"Oliver has known for a long time that Lucas and Susan are a bone marrow match. Yet he didn't tell you."
Every word echoed in Natalie's ears, and her already weak body was further stimulated, causing a headache.
She took a deep breath and interrupted Helen, "No."
Natalie said, "He didn't tell me so that I wouldn't let Susan go, right? You want to make a deal with me?"
Helen fell silent.
She knew Natalie wasn't foolish, but she didn't expect Natalie to be so clever. Not only was she not influenced by her words in such a short time, but she also thought of making a deal.
"Go ahead. What do you want? Or should I say, what does Susan want?" Natalie's head felt dizzy. She wanted to reach out and rub her temples, but her other hand was still hooked up to the IV, so she had to rely on the bed and close her eyes to rest.
"Can you agree to anything?" Helen asked.
"Does it matter if I agree or not? If Susan's bone marrow can really save Lucas, does it matter if I agree?" Natalie said bluntly, "Except for illegal things."
"Of course, it should be something within your capabilities. If you can't do it, don't you still have Oliver?" Helen said.
Natalie closed her eyes tightly.
The last thing she wanted was to continue dealing with the Hastings family, but fate seemed to enjoy playing tricks on people.
"Natalie, when you were ruthless to me and my daughter, you should have known that one day you would need my help, right?" she said. There was a sense of satisfaction in Helen's voice as if she had finally taken her revenge.
"Mrs. Hastings, everyone understood that I was not at fault in this whole situation," Natalie said and added, "Just think objectively, if Susan weren't your daughter, would you really think that everything she did was right?"
Helen disagreed, saying, "But Susan is my pampered daughter, Natalie. Although you feel wronged, it's not my fault that your mother died early and couldn’t protect you."
She hung up the phone, placing a hand over her eyes and pressing lightly, hoping to push back the swelling sensation.
At that moment, there was a knock on the hospital room door.
Just two symbolic sounds, the person knocking on the door had already walked in before she had a chance to look.
Natalie heard the sound, and her initial reaction was, "Oliver has come so quickly", but she immediately realized something was off.
These footsteps weren't Oliver's.
Instinctively, she protected her stomach, opening her eyes in alertness, and curling her legs up, ready to get out of bed and hide at any moment.
"What's wrong? Don't you recognize me?" Samuel was dressed casually today, wearing a less formal shirt and paired with gray casual pants.
He looked at her with a helpless and pitying expression.
"Why are you here? What are you doing here?" Natalie asked.
At this moment, Natalie's disgust for the Hastings family reached its peak, to the point where she even repelled Samuel along with them.
"Of course, I came to see you. Otherwise, why would I come?" Samuel said and quickly looked around the hospital room.
The environment was nice, a private room, very clean.
He casually pulled a chair and sat down, asking Natalie, "How do you feel? Are you uncomfortable? No, what's wrong with you? You're three months pregnant and still wearing long dresses and high heels, as if you're walking on a runway.
"I also heard that you haven't eaten all day. Even If you don't feel like eating, the baby needs to eat. Natalie, doesn't your husband take care of you? Does he just let you do anything you want?"
He even started lecturing her, speaking in a very familiar tone and content.
Even after he finished speaking, Samuel still wanted to continue lecturing her, but he noticed something was off with Natalie.
Natalie's tense body relaxed slightly, but she remained on guard, and her gaze toward Samuel was unreservedly repulsive.
Samuel's appearance had changed greatly from what she remembered.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked.
Natalie narrowed her eyes, and her voice was cold as she spoke, "Samuel, are you here to mock me?"
"What do you mean?" he asked. Samuel's relaxed expression instantly froze, and he furrowed his brows.
"What do I mean? I want to know what you mean," Natalie sneered, "Your mother and sister just called threatening me, wanting to make a deal with me, and now you're here caring about me. Is it really such a coincidence that you came specifically to see me? Are you also in Forinland? Can't you lie a little more convincingly?"
