Chapter 933 His Lover
"Why bring Oliver along?"
When Natalie heard this, she was a bit puzzled but didn't inquire further. After all, having Oliver with her always had its advantages. If she went to see Roger alone, Oliver would surely be very jealous.
"Oliver, are you free tomorrow?" When Oliver arrived home, Natalie passed on Roger's message to him.
Oliver raised an eyebrow with interest and asked, "What does he want from me. A duel?"
Natalie gave Oliver a playful slap, "Mind your words!"
Oliver thought to himself, ‘If I don't speak properly, maybe he wants to see us acting lovey-dovey?’ Roger's active invitation to Oliver was indeed unexpected, but the surprise only lasted a moment as Oliver didn't dwell on it too much.
Whatever the reason, they'll find out when they get there.
The meeting place was arranged at Roger's mansion in Paykston. Upon Oliver and Natalie's arrival, they noticed the servants bustling about, cleaning and tidying up.
Roger, or rather Eugene, stood at the door in a long coat, gazing indifferently at his reflection in the artificial pool in the courtyard.
"Roger, are you moving?" Natalie inquired as she was escorted in by a servant.
Eugene turned around and boldly examined Natalie from head to toe. He had been repressed by the dominant personality for a long time and hadn't seen Natalie in quite a while.
Eugene turned around and boldly looked Natalie up and down. He had been suppressed by the primary personality for a long time and hadn't seen Natalie in a while.
“Yes, I'm leaving," Eugene replied, ignoring Oliver and addressing Natalie behind him. "Are you planning to return to your country?"
Natalie asked, not waiting for an answer before adding, "How are you doing now? Is your mental state okay?”
She actually wanted to ask if the police's statement about "Mr. Watson" committing suicide was true and if it would affect him.
"Yes," Eugene replied, gazing intently at Natalie. "He has disappeared.”
"Really disappeared, but I haven't even formally thanked him," Natalie whispered to herself.
Little did she know, it wasn't Eugene who had disappeared, but the Roger she was familiar with.
"You need to sign this document." Eugene picked up a document from the table beside him and handed it to Natalie.
Natalie looked at it with a puzzled expression, and upon closer inspection, she realized it was a transfer agreement for the mansion! This mansion was located in a prime area, uniquely constructed, and designed by a renowned architect decades ago. It was priceless and in high demand!
“I don't want it," Natalie shook her head without hesitation, "It's too valuable. I can't accept it."
"She doesn't need a house," Oliver interjected, reaching out to block the contract in Eugene's hand. He had numerous properties, all intended for Natalie.
Sensing Oliver's growing irritation, Natalie quickly interjected, "You're right, Roger. I don't need this at the moment."
"It's a dowry."
After Eugene finished speaking, both Natalie and Oliver were stunned.
“Natalie, he was born for you and now he has disappeared for you. Since he couldn't marry you, this house is your dowry," Eugene calmly ruffled Natalie's hair and tilted his head slightly. "You'll accept it, right?”
Since it's a dowry, how could she not accept it? There was no reason to refuse.
"Sign it," Eugene urged, handing the contract and pen to Natalie.
Natalie instinctively looked at Oliver.
“Why are you staring at me?" Oliver remarked, his eyes smiling, clearly pleased with Natalie's tendency to ask for his opinion.
After a pause, Oliver said, "Sign it. It's just a mansion."
It's not something they couldn't handle. A mansion, whether for Oliver or Roger, was insignificant.
Furthermore, his stance was evident: "Once you sign, our romantic relationship will end. I will just be your family."
Natalie hesitated briefly, then signed her name in the designated spot and expressed gratitude to "Roger.”
"I am your brother. That’s what I should do." Eugene mimicked Roger's tone. "Natalie, I need to speak with Oliver alone. Why don't you go check out your new house?"
Sending her away again, Natalie suspiciously glanced at Oliver and Roger. It was already strange that Roger wanted to speak with Oliver alone, and even stranger that Oliver didn't object.
"Are you going to fight?" Natalie asked.
“What's going on in that head of yours!" Eugene chuckled and attempted to tousle Natalie's hair once more, but Oliver stepped in the way.
Natalie was unaware of the tension between Oliver and Eugene. Seeing no objections from either of them, she decided to give them some privacy.
As soon as Natalie left, the looks in Oliver and Eugene's eyes changed.
"You're not Roger," Oliver said bluntly.
Eugene responded with interest.
Oliver didn't want to beat around the bush. They were both smart people. "Your eyes are different."
"How?" Eugene indirectly admitted that he wasn't Roger actually.
Both of them were smart enough to realize that there was no point in hiding it, so they might as well be straightforward.
"The way you look at my wife."
Roger's gaze at Natalie was filled with profound and restrained affection, but this individual was distinct. Despite Eugene's attempts to conceal it, his longing to possess Natalie was evident. Natalie was oblivious to this, but as a man, Oliver was keenly aware of Eugene's possessiveness.
"Wife," Eugene repeated the word, clearly displeased. He knew it was Oliver's declaration of sovereignty and a provocation, but he was helpless.
Indeed, Eugene's lover was Oliver's wife.
Eugene glanced at Oliver and stated, "The one who vanished is Roger. This mansion belongs to Roger and was meant as a gift for Natalie, not for me.”
