Chapter 267 Lady, The Young Master Is Back

After a long time…

The man tidied up their clothes and left, chatting happily about what had just happened.

Adrian was left lying on the ground, gradually ceasing to move as if he were drifting into a deep slumber.

The night enveloped everything in silence, allowing every filthy and humiliating word to reach Noah's ears clearly. Overwhelmed by despair, she closed her eyes.

That night marked Paykston's first snowfall of the season. The snow fell thickly, blanketing the ground in a single night.

In a narrow alleyway, a passerby discovered a male corpse. It was none other than Adrian’s corpse.

Later on, there were sightings of a woman in distress, alternating between tears and laughter. She was later identified as Noah Harrington. However, she did not look as beautiful as she did in the photos she posted, so it made many people question themselves.

Someone came forward and confirmed Noah’s identity, saying that Noah was a social media influencer known for excessively touching up her photos, which explained the disparity between her photos and her actual appearance.

Shortly after these events, the Harrington family's substantial debt was erased due to the untimely death of Adrian.

Previously ranked among the top ten prestigious families, the Harringtons' downfall became a cautionary tale within the industry.

Natalie received a series of sympathetic calls. Some were mere acquaintances from the industry expressing concern over Oliver's wrongful accusation. These people hoped to take advantage of the fact that she was Oliver’s wife.

Natalie dealt with them politely and did not give them much attention.

At this time, Emily asked over the phone, “Has everything settled down at home?”

"Yes, for the most part," Natalie responded.

"You're scheduled for a photo shoot the day after tomorrow," Emily continued, detailing the arrangements.

Natalie agreed and said, "Emily, thank you."

"For what?" Emily asked.

"Thank you for asking Sophia to protect me, and thank you for treating me as Natalie, not just Mrs. Windsor,” Natalie said sincerely.

"Natalie, I don’t care if you’re Mrs. Windsor or not. To me, you’re not just a model with great potential, but you’re also a sister and a friend,” Emily said warmly, “While some may change the way they treat you based on your identity, those who care for you can see you for who you are.”

Oliver had taken steps to resolve the Windsor family’s scandal, and it was quickly dealt with.

As the world outside continued to buzz with speculation, those at the heart of the matter had found their peace.

Natalie then remembered her brother and Lilian, whom she had momentarily forgotten.

She reached out to Lucas, inviting him and Lilian for a meal at Rosewood Estate, hoping it would reassure Lilian about Oliver's well-being.

Natalie began preparing the meal early, cooking Lucas's favorite food.

Upon Oliver's return from work, the rich scent of spices and the distinctive aroma of bell pepper greeted him. It was unusual for Natalie to cook such food due to his sensitive stomach.

Liam, taking Oliver's coat, noticed his puzzled expression and explained, “Natalie is preparing chicken stew, empanadas, and lasagna. Lucas and Lilian will be visiting later.”

“Why?” Oliver frowned.

"Natalie previously entrusted Lucas to protect Lilian, so she wanted to thank him. She also hopes to reassure Lilian about your well-being,” Liam continued to explain. He knew Oliver was unhappy. After all, Oliver did not get along with Lucas, and Lilian also disliked Natalie. The guests were not the most harmonious choice for a gathering.

The more Liam thought about it, the more he felt that Natalie had a good personality. She was kind, understanding, and magnanimous.

Shifting the topic, Oliver asked solemnly, “How’s Grandma?”

He wondered about his grandmother’s reaction to the news of him sending his father to prison. When he was young, due to neglect from his father, his grandmother did what she could to take care of him and Arthur, making their childhood less miserable.

Liam reassured Oliver with a smile, “She didn’t say anything. Although Henry is her son, you’re her grandson. Moreover, she has long been disappointed in him. His imprisonment is due to his own actions. Don’t worry, she understands your actions…”

In the past, Oliver’s grandmother was fond of Hilary, and she could not stand Madison. Moreover, Henry had always been disrespectful and arrogant, nearly destroying the entire Windsor Group. She had already given up on her son and went abroad. In her eyes, Henry receiving a life sentence instead of a death sentence was already an act of mercy on Oliver’s part.

“Please give my regards to Grandma and tell her that she should come back to visit. Natalie can keep her company as well,” Oliver said before he thanked Liam with a nod and headed to the kitchen.

Oliver knew that the fact that his grandmother acquiesced and encouraged his marriage to Natalie showed her satisfaction with Natalie. As such, there was no need to worry about them not getting along.

Liam smiled, used to Oliver’s way of communication. Oliver respected and loved his grandmother, but they rarely chatted. In the past, it was always Arthur who accompanied and chatted with her. She also seemed to prefer chatting with Arthur. Unfortunately, Arthur had left to look for the woman he loved. Between Oliver and Liam, she would prefer to chat with Liam.

“Natalie, Oliver is back,” a helper standing at the side reminded Natalie.

Natalie looked up and saw Oliver standing at the doorway of the kitchen. He was loosening his tie with one hand; his movements were elegant and seductive.

After Natalie seasoned the meat, she said, “Oliver, I invited your cousin over. My brother will bring her here.”

Oliver crossed his arms and asked teasingly, exposing her thoughts, “Why do I feel like the food you cooked today is the little brat’s favorite food?”

Natalie smiled sheepishly in response.
