Chapter 781 Mr. Windsor’s Declaration of His Dominance
Doris laughed. "I'm your fan. As a competent fan, how could I miss one of your rare livestreams? Besides, this hotel is owned by my stepfather, so even if I'm caught, I won't be fired."
Natalie was at a loss for words. She felt that this fan was really serious, but dealing with wealthy fans was challenging.
When Natalie did not respond to her question, Doris turned to Oliver. Despite his cold and unfriendly demeanor, she did not want to miss the chance to gather some information from him.
Ordinary people could not understand the extent of courage that fans muster for their idols.
"Hello, are you Natalie's boyfriend?" Doris asked before she said to Natalie proudly, "I support you having a boyfriend, Natalie!"
She seemed to be expecting Natalie to be grateful to her.
Natalie remained silent. She thought, 'Because you brought up the thing I want to talk about least, I don't want to show my gratitude at all.'
Natalie then turned to look at Oliver, curious about how he would respond to Doris' question.
"No," Oliver said. He rarely spoke to women other than Natalie.
"Ah."
Doris seemed shocked. After a moment, as if struck by a brilliant idea, she exclaimed, "So you two haven't made it official yet?! That's great! I'll tell my brother that he still has a chance."
"Wait," Natalie said, feeling a headache coming on. "Who's your brother?"
'How did Doris suddenly have a brother?'
Oliver blinked, as if something had dawned on him.
He had more investments overseas than in his home country, though they were not in the hotel industry. He owned shares in several hotels, not to make money but for convenience. As a shareholder, he could easily instruct hotel staff and make exclusive modifications to rooms.
They were staying at Moon, one of the top three luxury hotels in Forinland and one of the hotels in which Oliver had a stake.
Oliver remembered that the largest shareholder of this hotel seemed to be in the hands of the Roberts family. In the next moment, he thought of Leo's disgusting appearance.
"Natalie, you must know my brother, Leo. Fortunately, he hasn't been eliminated yet. He's still competing in Super Model," Doris declared, "It must be that Leo isn't impressive enough for you to notice him. I don't know how he made it to the finals. Could it be the power of love? That's amazing!"
While talking about the 'power of love', Doris looked at Natalie with a mixture of skepticism and playfulness. Natalie was the dream girl of Doris' half-brother.
Natalie rubbed her forehead. She had not anticipated that she would be unable to escape Leo's influence even in Forinland. Furthermore, she ended up staying at a hotel owned by the Roberts family. She felt like she was in someone else's territory. She really wished she could tell Doris that this was really terrible.
Today was not her lucky day; perhaps she should just stay in her room and not venture out.
Doris was happily fantasizing about her favorite female celebrity becoming her brother's wife when Oliver suddenly interrupted her thoughts.
"Doris, Leo doesn't stand a chance at all."
"What?" Doris was taken aback. "Do I know you? Who are you?"
Oliver put his arm around Natalie's waist and helped her with her bag. His hand moved from her waist to cup the back of her head. Before Natalie could react, he kissed her. His kiss was not passionate, but rather a declaration of his claim.
Before Natalie could fully comprehend what was happening, she heard Oliver tell Doris, "I'm not her boyfriend; I'm her husband."
Doris' smile froze instantly. She could hardly believe Oliver’s words.
"That’s why Leo has no chance, and you should stop dreaming."
Doris felt overwhelmed by Oliver's cold gaze.
It was the first time Natalie heard Oliver tell someone to 'stop dreaming'. It seemed that he was quite bothered by Leo's actions.
"Sir, may I ask who you are?"
Doris finally regained her composure, realizing that the handsome man before her was no ordinary person.
"You can go and ask your brother, who's as blindly confident as you are," Oliver said as he walked toward the suite with his arm still around Natalie's waist. If he was not satisfied with this hotel, even if the Super Model competition venue was the closest to this hotel, he would switch hotels immediately.
Oliver regretted not having Jamie buy a house here in advance.
"Sorry, my husband has a bad temper," Natalie said as she pulled on Oliver's arm. His words had been quite harsh for a girl.
Moreover, Doris was merely an unsuspecting fan; her earlier words were not intended to be offensive.
"Natalie, is he really your husband? You’re not lying to me because you don’t like Leo, are you?" Doris had not given up.
Natalie believed that Doris was Leo's sister, as their thought processes were strikingly similar.
"Doris, he's my husband," Natalie said with a helpless sigh, "If he weren't my husband, could I have kissed him earlier?"
"Even if he weren't your husband, you could still kiss. You're a beautiful woman with an excellent figure, a fine temperament, and a great personality. I know you possess many talents and are intelligent. If a woman like you had several boyfriends, I'd understand. So, you can consider Leo. Although he's not as handsome as the man beside you, he has a better temper. The key point is, he's younger, and..."
Doris was excitedly persuading Natalie when she suddenly felt a chill. She seemed to have forgotten about Oliver’s bad temper when she spoke. For a moment, she was worried she might not be able to go home that day.
"Doris, Leo has said similar things to me before, but he has given up on me," Natalie quickly held onto Oliver, hoping to calm any brewing storm as she said, "As for why Leo wisely chose to give up, I think you should ask him. Alright, we should head back to our room now!"
Natalie held Oliver's hand and quickly pulled him away. If they lingered, she feared Oliver might kill Doris, who was just as impulsive as her brother.
