Chapter 1152 Anthony, Your Clothes!

Jane thought, 'I'm not nervous, and I don't want to chat with you.'

Miles wasn't here to chat; he wanted to mess with Jane, treating her like a joke.

"Jane, you and that guy from the Clark family," Miles nodded at Anthony, smirking, "what happened yesterday?"

"Nothing. He dropped off my luggage and left his phone in my room," Jane said.

But she had a feeling this wouldn't clear things up.

Individuals believed what they wanted, especially someone like Miles, who loveddrama.

"Why did he bring your luggage? And you came out in a bathrobe. Don't think I didn't notice; you must've just showered," Miles said knowingly. "Jane, I've been there. No need to be embarrassed."

Jane sighed. "Mr. Grayson, I'm not embarrassed. I'm telling the truth."

Seeing Jane's firm stance, Miles didn't push further, but it was clear he didn't believe her.

"I think that young man is pretty good. You should consider it," Miles suggested.

'Miles, your opinion doesn't matter,' Jane thought, speechless.

After Miles left, Jane faced the shocked and curious looks of her studio staff.

"Jane, did you make up with Mr. Clark?"

"Did you sleep together?"

"Wow, I didn't see that coming! You're so bold!"

"No," Jane sighed. "Don't overthink it. There's really nothing between us."

The staff looked like they didn't believe her but nodded, trying to comfort her.

"Oh, got it."

"Jane, no matter what, we'll support you!"

"Yeah, we're always on your side!"

Jane knew explanations wouldn't work here.

Luckily, work officially started today, and everyone got busy, leaving no time for gossip.

As one of the photography team leaders, Jane had a morning meeting with other leaders. After that, she quickly had lunch and then held a small group meeting in the afternoon to assign tasks. After dinner, the leaders gathered again to finalize the shooting plan for the next three days and the detailed schedule for the next day.

After a day full of meetings, Jane's mind was filled with shooting plans, and she was exhausted when she got back to her room and fell asleep immediately.

Jane was naturally a bit lazy but also a workaholic. When she worked, she was completely absorbed and forgot about everything else.

It wasn't until the next day, when housekeeping brought Anthony's coat, that Jane remembered he was still at the hotel.

"Do you have a guest named Anthony? This coat is his. Can you deliver it to his room?" Jane asked the staff.

"Sorry, ma'am, we can't disclose guests' private information. You can contact the guest directly and get the room number, and we can deliver it for you," the staff replied.

Jane decided to keep the coat in her room and take it with her to breakfast, hoping to run into Anthony.

Luckily, she did.

Anthony wasn't in his usual formal suit but a sharp casual outfit, adding a bit of roguish charm to his elite aura.

Jane hurried over with his coat.

"Anthony, your coat!" Jane handed it to him. "I had the hotel clean it."

Anthony glanced at her, silent for a second, then signaled his assistant to take the bag from Jane.

"Mr. Clark, aren't you going to introduce us?" Nolan Adams teased, holding a plate of breakfast.

Jane was shocked. She thought Nolan was passing by, but he knew Anthony?

Jane quickly replayed her words in her mind, realizing they could easily be misunderstood. Nolan's expression made it clear he had misunderstood, thinking she and Anthony were either dating or had a fling.

Anthony glanced at Jane. Jane stared back, stunned. How could she be so unlucky these past two days, constantly being misunderstood?

"Jane, Jovan's sister," Anthony quickly responded, introducing Jane to Nolan.

Nolan suddenly understood. "Oh! Jovan! So you're Jane!"

This guy didn't seem very bright.

Anthony introduced Nolan to Jane, adding, "Jovan has worked with him before."

"Hello, Mr. Adams," Jane said politely. 'Judging by his demeanor, he does seem like someone who has worked with Jovan,' Jane thought.

Jane had to admit; Jovan often didn't look like a good person.

"No need to be so formal." Nolan waved his hand, his eyes darting between Jane and Anthony. "Wouldn't Jovan object to you two being together? Jovan always said no man was good enough for his little princess."

"No, you misunderstood. We're not together," Jane said with a calm smile.

Nolan was stunned for a few seconds, looking between Jane and Anthony, then apologized, "Sorry, my mistake. I just thought if Mr. Clark wanted to sleep with you, I mean, pursue you, how could he still be standing here intact!"

Though it made Jovan sound like an unreasonable tyrant, it did seem like something Jovan would do.

After Jane left, Anthony took the bag from his assistant, glanced at the coat inside, and kept the bag with him.

Nolan noticed something and mischievously asked, "Mr. Clark, you haven't won Jane over yet, have you?"

Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
