Chapter 228 Did You Wake Up?

"Lady, if you keep bringing up divorce, the young master will naturally get angry," Charles sighed helplessly.

Natalie pursed her lips. It was indeed her fault, but she was also angry at Oliver's unreasonable behavior.

Charles knew what Natalie was thinking and continued, "Lady, the young master has a bad temper and is used to being unreasonable. Please be more accommodating. Uncle Liam mentioned that the young master often acts like a child. With your gentle and generous nature, you won't argue with the young master, right?"

Emily couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Charles, you are indeed favored by Mr. Windsor. Your abilities and eloquence are top-notch, constantly speaking well for your young master!"

Charles pretended not to understand the underlying sarcasm and smiled, "You flatter me, Miss Reed!"

Nearby, Robert was shocked and regretful when he witnessed this scene.

He was shocked Natalie dared interact this way with Oliver. This was not the Natalie they had imagined. She should have obediently followed Oliver like a maid. Instead, they seemed like a couple where the man listened to the woman!

He regretted betting on the wrong person, thinking that he could rely on Hailey. Soaring high, he never expected his beloved daughter to become useless, while the daughter he disliked achieved great success. He could no longer rely on her one bit!

Miscalculations, losing both people and wealth!

Charles arranged for a driver and bodyguard to accompany Natalie, while he accompanied Robert.

"Emily, I'm sorry. My husband has a bad temper." Natalie felt guilty. Emily treated her well, but she had caused trouble unreasonably.

"It's fine." Emily waved her hand. knowing about Oliver's temper since learning his identity.

How many prestigious men had good temperaments? Who doesn't have some arrogance and dominance? It's just a matter of whether it's shown or hidden.

"Natalie, you and Oliver..." Emily hesitated.

"What's wrong?" Natalie asked.

Emily hesitated once more, then gave up. "Forget it. Take care of yourself. If you encounter any difficulties, you can tell me. Also, I'll arrange the assistant and bodyguard for you as soon as possible."

"Okay, thank you." Natalie felt Emily had something to say but held back, seeming reserved.

After successfully transferring the household registration, Charles returned to Oliver's side. "Sir, is Emily, Lady's agent, the former fiancée of the Hastings family's young master?"

After Emily became Natalie's agent, Oliver had Charles investigate her background. Not finding out immediately meant she had an extraordinary background. Later, when Charles saw Emily driving a luxury car, he followed that lead to find out more about her.

Oliver made a sound of agreement, his thin lips tightly pressed together, in a bad mood. If he had known about Emily's identity from the beginning, he would not have allowed Natalie to become her artist.

Oliver did not want Natalie to have a manager with such a powerful background because he wanted to have full control over her.

"Young Master, Miss Reed terminated her engagement with the Hastings family last year, but she had contact with them before," Charles worried. "What if Miss Reed tells the Lady about your affairs with Susan?"

Oliver opened his eyes. "My affairs with Susan are not to be exposed?"

"No, no!" Charles immediately shook his head.

"But what if Lady finds out? Then, who knows what could happen? Although you and Susan never dated or confessed to each other, everyone thought that you liked Susan?”

Before Natalie married into the Rosewood Estate, even Charles and Isaac, Oliver's close associates, believed that Susan was Oliver's true love, the one he would marry without a doubt.

But now Charles was somewhat uncertain.

The way the Lord and Lady interact was completely different from how he treats Susan. On the surface, it seems like the Lord dotes on Susan, while being harsh and impatient with the Lady.

But it is only in front of the Lady that the Lord seems like a living person.

Pleasing Oliver is a delicate art.

Returning to the Rosewood Estate, Natalie began preparing dinner. It was seven o'clock in the evening, but Oliver still hadn't returned.

Natalie was holding the food container, intending to go out, when a black Rolls-Royce Phantom slowly drove past her along the asphalt road toward the main building.

"Lady, are you going out?" The car stopped in front of Natalie, and Charles lowered the car window to ask.

Natalie was clearly about to do something with the box of food, intended for Oliver.

The back windows were closed with one-way tinted film. Natalie couldn't see inside, but through the front passenger gap she saw Oliver leaning back pretending to sleep.

Charles noticed Natalie looking at Oliver and discreetly shifted his body slightly to give Lady a better view, subtly grinning.

"It's about dinner time, and Mr. Windsor is throwing a little tantrum. So, I have to bring him the meal to avoid someone accusing me of starving him on purpose." Natalie pretended to lower her voice.

In reality, everyone around could hear her clearly.

The driver quickly looked away, tightly pursing his lips, so as not to be caught by the boss laughing.

Charles raised an eyebrow. The way the Lady spoke was clearly an attempt to tease the Lord!

"Young Master!" Charles suddenly felt a chilling sensation behind him.

Oliver had already opened his eyes, lazily sitting up and leaning back. He pressed a button, rolling down the window to reveal his exquisitely beautiful yet expressionless face, his gaze silent, gaze silent with no signs of just waking.

"Natalie, say that again?" Oliver sneered. "Who is throwing a tantrum? A little tantrum?”

"Were you asleep? I was just saying that if you don't wake up soon, the food will get cold." Natalie pretended she hadn't said or heard anything earlier, smiling as she asked him. It wouldn’t taste good if it gets cold.

Natalie knew he was pretending intentionally!

Oliver's anger hadn't subsided, but faced with her smile, he couldn't release his anger either.

A few seconds later, the door slammed as Oliver got off the car.

"Lady, this food container is heavy, let me help you with it." Charles took the food container from Natalie's hand, increasingly doubting if Oliver truly liked Susan.

Natalie wasn’t hungry and had a small appetite, she finished eating quickly and sat on the chair, waiting for Oliver.

Watching Oliver eat was enjoyable for her. He had excellent table manners, elegant and graceful dining gestures, handsome features, and an extraordinary temperament.

"Darling," Natalie spoke up after Oliver finished eating.

Without looking at her, he raised his hand to signal the servant to clean up the dining table.
