Chapter 348 No Wonder You’re Single
Everyone watched in astonishment, hands covering their mouths, as Oliver held Natalie and kissed her passionately.
Natalie struggled to push him away but was unable to break free. Despite her initial resistance and several ineffective attempts to escape, she eventually gave in and let him kiss her. It was a long, one-sided kiss.
When the passionate kiss ended, Oliver let go of Natalie, clearly reluctant. All of a sudden, he asked in a deep voice, “Why did you stop using terms of endearment with me?”
Of late, Natalie had only been referring to him as Oliver or simply ‘you’.
As Natalie regained her composure, she remained silent, biting her lip. She felt uncomfortable addressing him using pet names when she thought about him and Susan.
Oliver's gaze lingered on her lips, filled with yearning, but he finally managed to look away and said nonchalantly, “So? What do you think?”
“What do you want me to call you then?” Natalie asked.
“Darling?” Oliver suggested.
Natalie rolled her eyes at the suggestion. Clearly not keen on the idea, she said, "I'll think about it."
"Remember to take care of yourself and call me if you need anything," Oliver reminded her, looking at the crew with a hint of warning and intimidation in his eyes. The warning was implicit: they were not to mistreat Natalie.
The production team looked at each other in bewilderment. ‘After the scene you caused recently, who would dare to mistreat your wife?’
Natalie, feeling a wave of embarrassment at the sight of her colleagues who had witnessed the entire exchange, greeted them as if nothing unusual had occurred.
From a distance, Jane waved to Natalie, patting the seat beside her as an invitation.
Jacob momentarily looked up from his game and said, “Oh, I knew you would forgo makeup today! Otherwise, your husband would’ve made a mess of your lipstick.
Jane cast a disdainful glance at Jacob and said, “No wonder you’re single.”
“Jane, are you okay?” Natalie asked, concerned.
"What do you mean?" Jane asked, only to exclaim, with a lollipop in her mouth. "Are you talking about Anthony? Don’t worry. He couldn’t control me before. What makes you think he can control me now?"
If not for the longstanding feud between their families, Natalie might have sympathized with Anthony, given Jane's notoriously unruly demeanor.
"Who’s trying to control you? Boyfriend?" Jacob asked, his curiosity piqued by Jane's words. Then, he added, “With your temper, is there anyone who dares to date you?”
“F*ck!” Jane stood up in anger, poised to retaliate with a kick.
The atmosphere grew lively as staff members joined in, laughing.
After a short moment, the director announced, “In this episode, we’ll have two new guests joining us.”
“Who are they?” Zoey asked.
“You’ll find out when we arrive at our destination,” the director said mysteriously.
Nonetheless, it was clear to everyone that the guests were not ordinary. After all, Lily was a rather famous model. The guest who would replace her naturally would not be inferior.
