Chapter 363 You’ll Always Be My Sister

Lucas raced to the hospital in his sports car. The organization had already arranged for someone to meet him at the entrance of the hospital.

The individual was startled by Lucas's speed and reckless driving. "Lucas, you can’t be so reckless. You must calm down. You know…”

"Shut up!" Lucas glanced at him coldly.

The person immediately stopped speaking and made a gesture as if zipping his lips. He really could not understand how Lucas could be so stubborn at such a young age.

"Which floor is my sister on?"

"She’s still on the sixth floor. She just received the test results ten minutes ago, and there’s a doctor named Rosy with her. She’s Oliver's acquaintance."

Lucas listened as he walked quickly, instructing his subordinate to leave and not to follow him once they reached the elevator.

The sixth floor was not crowded. As soon as Lucas stepped out of the elevator, he saw a woman sitting on a bench. She was slim and appeared to be alone, holding a stack of paper. Her head lowered, making it impossible to see her expression.

Lucas's heart skipped a beat, and his legs suddenly froze, rendering him unable to move forward.

Natalie seemed to sense something and raised her head, meeting Lucas's gaze—nervousness, loneliness, fear, and a hint of timidity were evident.

"Lucas, why are you here?" Natalie was shocked for a brief moment. She stood up slowly, wondering why her brother was here. At the same time, she quickly hid the test report behind her back before examining Lucas from head to toe. Seeing that he appeared fine, she exhaled in relief.

"Why are you here?"

The two stood half a meter apart, with Lucas looking at Natalie cautiously.

“Don't you want me anymore?”

Natalie's thoughts immediately went to the report she was holding, and her grip tightened involuntarily.

“What do you mean?” Natalie’s expression was slightly unnatural. She had just received the test result, there was nowhere Lucas could have known… right?

"What are you holding?" Lucas asked bluntly. He wanted to resolve this matter today. He only had one family member and that was his sister.

"I..."

"I already know about it,” Lucas said as he carefully observed Natalie’s expression, worried that she would not love him anymore.

"Know... what?" Natalie asked, feigning ignorance.

"I know that..."

Lucas paused, his voice carrying a hint of desolation as he said, “I know that I’m not your biological brother. Do you not want me anymore because of that?”

The tall boy, standing at six feet, resembled an abandoned puppy, looking extremely vulnerable.

Natalie's heart ached upon seeing this, but she also felt relieved at the same time. She gave up on hiding the test report and gently touched Lucas’ head as she asked, “Do you still want me?”

"What are you saying?" Lucas's voice rose several octaves as he said in disbelief, "You’re my sister no matter what. Who cares about blood relations? What does it matter?”

Lucas suddenly halted, realizing that he had lost his composure. He tried to calm down, wanting to show his best side to his sister.

Natalie, amused by his reaction, asked, “Are you done talking?”

Lucas felt embarrassed. He mumbled, “Yes.”

Natalie lightly tapped his head and smiled before she asked, steering the conversation in a new direction. “When did you find out about it?”

Despite being aware, Lucas still could not help but feel a chill when he read the report that stated he had no blood relations with Natalie.

"Elementary school, around the fifth or sixth grade," he admitted.

"So early?" Natalie stared at her brother, astonished by his early discovery. Not only was she shocked by his early discovery, but she was also shocked that he managed to keep it to himself for so long. He had not asked anything, had not said anything, and had shown no trace of his knowledge at all.

Natalie looked at her brother with a meaningful gaze, realizing that he was not as simple as she had previously thought.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Lucas became instantly alert.

His mind raced, and he quickly thought about his concealed identity.

"In my heart, you’re my sister. Whether we share the same blood or not doesn’t matter to me. That’s why I didn’t say anything. Don’t worry. I won’t intentionally hide anything important from you. As your younger brother, how would I dare to deceive you, right?" Lucas's last few words were delivered with particular obedience.

He had not intentionally kept anything about his identity a secret, had he? He reasoned that his sister did not ask, so he did not say anything. He was still her obedient younger brother.

Facing her brother, whom she had watched grow up, Natalie believed him without much hesitation. Moreover, for the most part, her brother had always been under her watchful eye. What could he even hide from her?

Lucas expressed his frustration by crumpling the test report, tearing it into pieces, and discarding it in the trash can. It was as if by destroying it, he could erase its existence. He then took a step forward and hugged Natalie. "Let’s forget about this issue. You’re my sister no matter what. Don’t overthink it."

"Okay. You’ll always be my little brother." Natalie chuckled at Lucas's childlike gesture.

"Do you want to look for your biological parents?”

If she desired, he would do everything within his power to assist her.

"Let it be." Natalie shook her head. "Let things take their natural course."

After so many years, what benefit would there be in finding them? Would both parties genuinely wish to reconnect and build a relationship? What if the other party had no desire to find her? Who could guarantee that finding her biological family would lead to a warm kinship rather than additional family conflicts?

"Lucas, you’re my family. Having you is enough for me."

Rosy, who had not pried into Natalie's personal affairs regarding the test results, looked at Lucas and raised her eyebrows in a gesture of pleasant surprise.

"Your hair has grown, and you’re becoming more handsome!"

When Lucas had run away to find Natalie, Rosy had served as his temporary doctor.

"Doctor May," Lucas greeted her with a smile.

Natalie had initially intended to ask about Lucas's medical condition or the bone marrow match from Rosy, but she suddenly received several unfamiliar phone calls.
