Chapter 1150 No Way Anything's Happening Between Him and Me

[That handsome guy reacted so quickly just now; I didn't even see how he got to Jane's side to catch her!]

[Clearly, he works out a lot, he must have great stamina!]

[Good stamina, that's a good thing!]

The comments in the Facebook group were getting more and more suggestive.

Jane helplessly rubbed her forehead and started typing.

Jane: [Alright, there's no way anything's happening between him and me. Stop guessing.]

The young people in the studio were quick to pick up on the clues in Jane's message.

[No way anything's happening between him and you, so you know each other.]

[Before we left, I heard Jane make a phone call. Could it have been to that handsome car owner?]

Having an overly lively team could be a bit of a problem; they were getting too comfortable joking around with Jane.

Jane was getting a headache. To prevent them from making a scene in front of Anthony, she had to tell the truth.

Jane: [He's Anthony.]

In the group, chats continued.

[Jane, you're already telling us your future boyfriend's name so soon!]

[Anthony, that's a nice name.]

[Wait, why does it sound so familiar?]

Lester rolled his eyes hard. [Jane's ex-boyfriend! The one from the Clark family in South City!]

The chat fell into an eerie silence.

Everyone in the car exchanged glances, not daring to speak lightly.

Although they didn't know exactly what had happened between Jane and Anthony, they had heard some rumors—intense and dramatic, not something anyone would want to experience.

Even through the phone screen, Jane could sense their tension.

Jane: [No need to be nervous, pretend you don't know who he is, but don't joke about me and him.]

Someone spoke up: [Jane, I'm sorry.]

One by one, a few more people apologized.

The past and feelings between Jane and Anthony had nothing to do with them. The only thing that mattered was that they were Jane's people!

They would stand by Jane unconditionally!

Jane: [It's okay. You didn't know before, so don't be nervous.]

Despite her words, the atmosphere in the work group became more tense.

Jane turned off her phone and looked out at the rapidly passing scenery.

The desert was the most soul-stirring sight.

Due to a few hours delay on the road, Jane and her team were the last to arrive at the filming location.

They were staying at the only five-star hotel in the area, and Jane had upgraded her rooms at her own expense.

When it came to food, clothing, and accommodation, Jane never skimped on herself if she could help it.

Upon entering the room, she immediately washed her hair and took a shower; she couldn't stand it for even a second longer.

It wasn't until an hour later that Jane realized she hadn't brought her clothes in.

She forgot that this was a hotel, not her own home, and there was no bathrobe in the bathroom.

She also hadn't noticed whether the room curtains were drawn when she came in.

After hesitating for a few minutes, Jane wrapped herself in a towel and bent over to sneak out.

As soon as she poked her head out, she froze in place.

Anthony was standing right outside the bathroom, looking down at her.

He raised an eyebrow, seemingly surprised by her current behavior.

"What are you doing here?!" Jane exclaimed, quickly retreating, trying to hide back in the bathroom.

But the hotel bathroom door was much narrower than the one at her house, and Jane's hip bumped into the door frame, preventing her from getting back in.

Jane saw a quick flash of amusement on Anthony's face.

Anthony was actually laughing at her! Jane hated being laughed at the most.

Anthony barely managed to suppress his smile.

"This is my room. How did you get in?" Jane wanted to grab some clothes to cover herself, but there was nothing within reach, so she continued to question him.

"I brought your luggage up." Anthony pointed to Jane's two suitcases.

One of them was filled with very expensive photography equipment.

Jane glanced at Anthony. He meant well, so she couldn't get mad and just muttered, "What on earth are the hotel staff doing?"

Anthony walked over to the wardrobe, took out a sanitized bathrobe, and expertly wrapped it around Jane.

He suddenly paused and asked, "Are you wearing anything underneath?"

Jane said, "None of your business."

Anthony turned and walked to Jane's suitcase, quickly opened it, and took out her undergarments from a compartment, handing them to her.

His movements were smooth and natural, as if it was the most normal thing in the world. Back when they were still entangled, Anthony often did things like this.

Realizing this, Jane felt a moment of disorientation.

She snatched her undergarments from Anthony's hand and quickly turned back to the bathroom.

Wait, hold on. Why did Anthony grab these? Black, lace, and sheer undergarments—was he doing this on purpose?

A while later, there was a knock on the door.

Anthony's voice came from outside. "Jane?"

"What do you want?" Jane awkwardly looked at herself in the mirror.

She had worn such undergarments before, but now, in this setting, wearing these underneath a bathrobe felt strange.

Anthony said, "You've been changing for so long, I thought you fell into the toilet."

Jane finished getting dressed and walked out. Anthony was already at the room door, seemingly ready to leave.

"Lock the door," Anthony said, as if annoyed by Jane's lack of safety awareness.

Jane immediately rolled her eyes.

It wasn't that she lacked safety awareness, okay? Only Anthony would randomly barge into a woman's room like this.

"Anthony," Jane called him.

He paused as he opened the door, hearing Jane call him.

Jane looked at him quietly, hesitated for two seconds, and asked, "Are you here for work?"

She didn't really believe Clint's words, but suspecting Anthony was here for her seemed a bit too narcissistic.

"What do you think?" Anthony retorted.
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
