Chapter 883 A Car Following Us

The meal lasted for three hours.

During the meal, Natalie heard Samuel calling out to Nathan, saying, "Nathan, I'm Uncle Samuel! I'll buy you a big airplane!"

Samuel intentionally lowered his voice as if he was afraid of being overheard. However, his voice was not low enough, and Natalie and Oliver could hear him clearly.

Nathan, lying in the stroller, looked at the unfamiliar person in front of him with a blank expression and yawned, seemingly devoid of any interest.

"Natalie, is Nathan sleepy? He just yawned," Samuel asked Natalie.

Before Natalie could respond, Oliver said as he served Natalie a piece of foie gras, "Maybe it's because you look boring."

Samuel knew Oliver was just trying to rile him up. After all, he was clearly very handsome.

The more Samuel thought about it, the more he felt he had made a big mistake.

'How could I let Natalie marry someone who didn't respect me!’ he thought indignantly.

Nathan, along with Natalie, received a bunch of gifts from Samuel. There were so many gifts that Oliver had the staff help load them into the car's trunk.

Suddenly, a well-dressed woman stopped one of the staff loading the gift and asked, "Excuse me, how do I get to The Espresso Nook?"

"Go straight on this road, turn left at the upcoming intersection, and then continue straight for about a hundred feet.”

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. Enjoy your meal!"

After the woman left, the staff member remembered that The Espresso Nook was closed today and wondered why the woman inquired about The Espresso Nook?

Susan walked briskly with her high heels clacking loudly, each sound revealing her anger and jealousy. She had just seen the gift boxes in the staff's hands: one contained a diamond bracelet and the other a piece of collectible artwork.

The diamond bracelet was a collectible Samuel had acquired a few years ago. Susan had asked Samuel for it several times, but he had never given it to her. She thought the necklace and collectible artwork were just part of Samuel's collection, but he had actually given them to Natalie!

Could it be that her years of relationship with Samuel were being overshadowed by Natalie who still refused to return to the Hastings family? If Susan had not been alert and followed Samuel to Paykston, she would not have known that Samuel had given Natalie so many things!

With Samuel now in charge of the Hastings family, he might have even given away company shares. Susan had only 5% of the company shares left!

The more Susan thought about it, the angrier she became.

When returning to the Rosewood Estate, Samuel drove Natalie and Oliver part of the way. Samuel's true intention was to visit and play with Nathan for a while. Oliver saw through Samuel's scheme at a glance and ruthlessly refused. With that, Samuel insisted on driving Natalie and Oliver.

After Natalie and Oliver headed back, Samuel followed them in his car. Halfway through the journey, Natalie suddenly received a call from Samuel.

"It seems like there's a car following us," Samuel said solemnly.

Natalie had been sitting in the back seat and holding the sleeping Nathan; she had not been paying attention to what was happening outside.

"Oliver, Samuel said there's a car following us," Natalie said.

She watched as Oliver glanced at the rearview mirror before he replied grimly, "He's right. It's the yellow sports car behind us on the right."
Married to an Ugly Husband? No!
