Chapter 165 Charlotte, do you like the diamond ring?
Frederick must have been holding back for a long time. He clung to her body all afternoon, and Charlotte lost count of how many times he had made her come.
When she woke up, it was already evening outside.
The pale golden sunset spilled into the room, casting a warm glow in the bedroom.
Charlotte's body felt soft and weak, and she didn't want to move at all!
"You're awake?" Frederick's voice came over.
Charlotte looked over at him and saw that he had already taken a shower and changed into clean clothes.
Frederick was impeccably dressed and looked handsome.
Charlotte's face turned a bit red.
She pulled the blanket over herself and sat up gently. "What time is it now?"
Frederick walked to the bedside, gently caressed her delicate face, and said in a hoarse voice, "We did it four times."
"Frederick, stop talking!"
Frederick chuckled and then called out towards the outside.
The sound of footsteps echoed on the floor.
Charlotte looked at Frederick.
Frederick had a charming smile on his lips. "It's a gift for you. See if you like it."
As soon as he finished speaking, a little white dog entered the bedroom.
It was the same little white dog that Charlotte often fed.
The little white dog looked different now; its fur had been groomed, and it wore a beautiful collar.
Charlotte was especially delighted and wanted to hug the dog, but she had no clothes on.
Frederick picked up the dog.
He took off a small item hanging from the dog's neck and said, "I had it neutered. From now on, it's yours."
Charlotte didn't notice what he had in his hand; she was just happy to pet the dog.
It was indeed a very nice gift.
The little white dog recognized Charlotte and let her pet it gently.
After letting them play for a while, Frederick sent the dog out and took Charlotte's hand, his voice hoarse. "There's another gift!"
Charlotte's hand was held by him, and in his hand was a pear-shaped diamond ring. The color was beautiful, and the cut was perfect!
Charlotte was stunned.
They had just been intimate, and she was feeling very soft both physically and emotionally.
And now he was giving her a diamond ring.
A diamond ring always had a special meaning for a woman, and Charlotte was somewhat pleasantly surprised.
Frederick's voice was particularly gentle. "Charlotte, do you like it? Let me put it on for you."
Charlotte's heart raced.
She wrapped herself in the blanket and leaned against him, her slender fingers curling up a bit awkwardly. "Frederick."
Frederick's gaze was deep. "You don't want it?"
'How could I not want it? No woman wouldn't want it! Especially when it was given by a man I like.' She mused.
The atmosphere suddenly became romantic, and Charlotte gently straightened her fingertips, placing them in front of him.
Frederick put the ring on her middle finger.
It fit perfectly and looked beautiful.
A hint of disappointment flashed in Charlotte's eyes; he hadn't put it on her ring finger.
Frederick leaned in to kiss her.
He said in a hoarse voice, "We'll change it when we get married, okay?"
Charlotte was very compliant, tilting her head to let him kiss her. Because of this special gift, their relationship felt different. She felt he was serious, and she wanted to be serious with him too.
Charlotte liked him.
She thought, 'Even with Katherine's presence, I'm willing to be brave this time. Maybe we could have a good future.'
Charlotte let down her guard and became much bolder and proactive. Her body was gently pulled out from under the blanket by him. Though shy, she sat obediently in his arms, kissing him passionately.
Her golden hair carried a hint of moisture, gently spreading across her snow-white back.
When everything was over, it was already 5:30.
As Charlotte was getting dressed, she realized that they had been out for a long time and hadn't bought anything.
Going home empty-handed wouldn't be appropriate.
Frederick hugged her from behind, chuckling. "I had Cherie buy and deliver it. It's in the living room; you can take it home later, okay?"
Charlotte blushed. 'Cherie had been here? When did she come? Didn't that mean she knew they were...'
"Cherie has been through it; what does it matter if she knows?"
Charlotte's face turned red, and her heart raced.
Frederick kissed her tender earlobe, speaking with difficulty, "I really don't want to send you back!"
Charlotte let him kiss her.
After a long while, she gently pushed him. "Frederick, I have to go back."
He softly hummed in response, hugging her as he helped straighten her wool dress.
"In a few days, I'll pick you up to stay over, and then we'll go to my place for dinner, okay?"
As he spoke, he couldn't help but caress her outfit, saying, "The dress looks nice. Wear a dress next time too; it's very convenient."
His words carried the charm of a mature man. Charlotte not only got used to it but also easily teased.
She let him gently hold her as they went downstairs.
Frederick was very considerate, not only sending her home but also carrying the things upstairs, greeting William and Maria, showing great respect for Charlotte.
When he left, Charlotte felt reluctant.
She saw him off downstairs, fireworks filling the sky, and he gave her a gentle kiss.
Though they didn't have dinner together on Christmas Eve, for a long time afterward, Charlotte would remember this as the most beautiful day they spent together.
There was no Katherine or anyone else, only Frederick and her.
That day, Frederick was entirely hers!
Frederick drove back to Hawkins Mansion, and it was already 7 PM.
He led the little white dog and handed it to the servant.
Chloe saw him return from the living room and quickly ran over to hold his arm. "Frederick!"
Frederick gave her a big hug.
Chloe was happy and asked, "Where did that dog come from? I can't tell the breed."
Frederick stepped into the living room and saw Ethan was there too.
He sat down, leaning back on the sofa, lazily saying, "It's the dog from downstairs! Charlotte liked it, so I brought it back. From now on, Charlotte will take care of it."
Chloe sniffed. "I was wondering why you are so kind-hearted; turns out it was to please Charlotte."
Laura came over from the kitchen.
She saw Frederick come back alone and was displeased. "I heard from Cherie that you went to Charlotte's place. Why didn't you bring her back for dinner?"
Frederick replied nonchalantly, "I'll bring her back in a few days!"
Laura was finally happy, thinking that the fortune teller was indeed accurate. She must thank him later.
Ethan had been watching coldly.
From the moment Frederick returned, he had been lazy. Men understand men the best! Only after indulging in sex many times would one feel so satisfied that they wouldn't want to move.
Today, Frederick and Charlotte must have been intimate.
Charlotte would come over for dinner in a few days, which meant that things between Frederick and Charlotte were settled. Ethan wondered if from now on, he would have to call Charlotte sister-in-law.
Ethan felt a chill all over.
When no one was looking, he quietly clenched his fist.
"Ethan, why aren't you eating?"
A piece of chicken wing was placed in his bowl, and Frederick gently urged, "You've lost a lot of weight recently; you should eat more, or Chloe will be worried!"
Chloe shouted, "I won't be worried!"
Ethan snapped back to reality.
Frederick smiled gently.
He said to Chloe, "I'll take you to set off fireworks later, and we'll take pictures to show Charlotte."
Chloe was naturally happy.
She turned to Ethan and said, "Ethan, could you help me and Frederick take pictures later. Make sure to make Frederick look handsome. When Charlotte sees it, she'll be eager to marry Frederick."
Ethan's face turned pale.
Frederick smiled slightly. "I gave her a ring today."
