Chapter 330 I'm Over You (Part 3)

Andrew still walked over.

The neon lights made everything look kinda trippy, like a scene from a dream.

It felt like he never left, like he never said those messed-up things.

Like he was still her guy, holding her in the deep of the night and calling out to her in the early morning, saying he had to leave.

Her lips shook as she watched him come closer.

She wished this dream would last forever, but her pride was too strong.

"Chloe," he said, gently touching her face.

She dodged his hand and slapped him.

It wasn't a hard slap, but it was loud enough to draw a line between them.

After hitting him, Chloe felt a bit out of it.

Her lips trembled as she said, "Mr. Devereux, you're so generous, taking care of the women you've dumped. But whether I'm single or not is none of your business!"

Then she headed for the door.

But no matter how hard she tried, the door wouldn't budge.

She froze. "Mr. Devereux, what's this? Aren't you worried people will see and it'll mess up your rep?"

Andrew slowly came closer, his hand covering hers.

He was so close he could kiss that spot behind her ear he used to love teasing her at. But now, he just held her hand and said softly, "Be good, okay? Find someone to marry and live a stable life."

Chloe felt dazed again. How could she ever find stability after this mess?

She was never the harsh type, even when hurt, she couldn't say mean things. All she wanted was to get away from him and never see him again!

In the end, Andrew let her go.

The sound of her footsteps faded as he stood alone, looking at the view she had seen.

Nathan showed up quietly and said softly, "She went back first."

Andrew nodded, lit a cigarette slowly, and said quietly, "Meetings like today will probably be rare in the future. She would eventually wise up. Nathan, do you think she'll get married and have kids in a couple of years? If she has a daughter, she'll definitely look like her!"

Nathan's eyes softened. "Please, don't say that!"

Maybe there was still hope!

Andrew stood quietly, his handsome face showing no emotion.

He had too much on his mind.

If he were ten years younger, he would've married her early on, making her happy every day without a care in the world!

After a long while, he sighed softly. "Get the private jet ready for Copenhegan!"

Chloe left the party. She didn't go home but found a store. She traded her million-dollar couture dress for a few hundred-dollar casual outfit and then wandered aimlessly through the streets.

It was late at night, and a black car rolled by slowly.

Turns out, it was Grace's car. She wasn't alone; her new boyfriend was with her.

Seeing Chloe from a distance, Grace told the driver to stop.

Grace got out, swaying her hips, and said kindly, "Why are you wandering around so late? Let me take you home! Otherwise, Andrew will blame me for not doing my job well."

Chloe found her words disgusting.

She kept walking.

Just then, a young, handsome guy got out of the car, holding Grace's waist, and asked, "Who's this?"

Chloe turned to look.

Grace, leaning against the guy, smiled more charmingly, "Why are you so stunned? You're too young. Isn't this kind of thing between men and women normal? Do you expect me to stay chaste for Andrew? Besides, ever since you showed up, he hasn't touched me."

Chloe's breathing got shaky.

What did she say? Andrew hadn't been with her?

Why did he lie to her?

Grace noticed her doubt. She took a few steps forward, adjusted Chloe's clothes, and said nonchalantly, "What happened between your Andrew and me is in the past. I know how he feels about me. I've dreamed of marrying him, but he won't marry me!"

Chloe stared at her, unmoving, and asked, "Why are you telling me this?"

"Because I pity you!" Grace laughed coquettishly. "Seeing you like this, I know he's been treating you badly. Alright, I'm telling you this with a heavy heart. If you want to know the truth, ask Andrew yourself. Only he knows what's in his heart."

After saying that, Grace hugged the guy's waist and kissed him.

The two of them got back into the car, all over each other.

As the car started to move, Chloe stopped it. Grace and the guy were getting cozy in the back seat, and the sudden stop startled them. The driver said awkwardly, "Miss Hawkins is blocking the car!"

Before he finished speaking, Chloe had already opened the car door and squeezed in next to Grace and the guy.

The vibe was super awkward.

Grace's clothes were a mess, showing a lot of skin. The guy too.

Chloe said, "Take me to the airport."

Grace was furious. "I don't owe you anything!"

Chloe refused to get out.

The guy laughed and comforted Grace, "Just take her."

He liked Grace and hoped Chloe would cling to Andrew so he could have Grace to himself. So, with different thoughts in mind, they headed to the airport.

Thinking that Andrew might have his reasons, Chloe cried all the way.

Grace buttoned her clothes and glared at her.

There were no flights late at night.

Chloe sat alone in the waiting room, holding a ticket for the earliest flight to Copenhegan the next day.

She could have gone home first.

But she couldn't wait; she just wanted to sit here and wait.

She thought about calling Andrew, but she was afraid he wouldn't answer.

A group of people walked by in the distance.

Eight folks surrounded a handsome, distinguished guy, heading towards the VIP passage. The guy glanced over and saw a young girl sitting in the empty waiting room, her back radiating sadness.

From behind, she looked a lot like Chloe.

But how could Chloe be here? She must have cried again tonight.

Andrew stood there, quietly watching for a long time until Nathan reminded him, "Mr. Devereux, the private jet is about to take off!"

Only then did Andrew look away and quickly walk into the VIP passage.

Back in Copenhegan, he urgently held a meeting and worked through the morning.

It was only around lunchtime that he had a moment to go home.

As lunchtime approached, the house was bustling with servants preparing meals. When he asked, they said a guest from Syeattel had arrived, and Adeline was over the moon, even bringing out her homegrown vegetables.

'A guest from Syeattel?' Andrew thought it might be Maria and lit a cigarette as he walked towards the kitchen to say hello.

But as soon as he pushed aside the vines in the corridor, he was stunned.

Chloe was sitting on a stone bench with Adeline, chatting and laughing while picking vegetables.

This scene overlapped with the beautiful times of the past.

Andrew's eyes turned red!

He forgot to speak for a moment, just staring at them. He noticed she was wearing the same clothes he had seen at the airport last night. So, it was her at the airport last night.

Chloe had waited at the airport all night.

Andrew felt extremely sad but remained composed. He slowly walked over with his cigarette and smiled. "Chloe, are you here to keep Adeline company?"

Chloe looked up, softly gazing at him.

Andrew did the same, quietly looking at her for a long time before sitting down.

Adeline patted him. "I ran into her on the road! The weather is cold and she was wandering around with nothing on her, so I brought her back."

He continued to look at Chloe. After a while, he slowly said, "She can stay in the same room as before. I'll take her there."

With that, he took Chloe away.

As they left, Adeline watched them go and sighed softly.

This bedroom was off-limits to ordinary servants without Andrew's permission.

Andrew pushed open the bedroom door and shoved her inside.

Closing the door, he pinned her against it, his voice severe and restrained. "Why did you follow me here? Go back to Syeattel after lunch. I'll have Nathan book your ticket."

"I won't go!" She leaned against the door, tears welling up.

Andrew took out his phone and called Nathan, "Book an afternoon ticket for Chloe as soon as..."

Before he could finish, the phone was knocked out of his hand.

Andrew's gaze grew even more severe. "You must leave!"

She had never seen him like this before. She was scared, but she still said with trembling lips, "I won't go. Grace told me everything. You never had a relationship with her."

Andrew stared at her. After a long time, he laughed softly. "You believe her?"

Her body trembled uncontrollably. She had almost never argued with anyone, never had a confrontation, but today she had to get to the bottom of it. He couldn't fool her.

Andrew stubbed out his cigarette and then roughly grabbed her shoulders. "Do you want to hear the truth?"

Chloe's lips quivered, and she was about to cry.

Andrew's hair fell over his face, a look of disheveled despair she had never seen before. He stared into her eyes and said very softly, "The truth is something you can't handle! If you insist on hearing it, I'll tell you! Before you, there wasn't just Grace; there were many others. They all knew the score. Someone as naive as you, who doesn't care about my status or money, just blindly loves me, was a novelty to me! Remember our first time? In the hospital, Charlotte was in such a big mess, Lola's life was uncertain, and I was under so much pressure. Late at night, you threw yourself at me. Do you think I could refuse? We've been together for six months and I'm over you now. Is that okay? You say I didn't touch Grace. Yes, I didn't because I was over her too."

Andrew began unbuttoning her clothes, his voice carrying a hint of finality. "Did you come all this way because you want me to sleep with you? Are you that desperate for a man? I'll satisfy you once, but then you need to pick up your clothes and get out of here immediately. I don't want to play with an immature girl anymore. Do you understand?"

He tore open her buttons, humiliatingly toying with her body.

A slap landed on his face.

Chloe started crying. "Andrew, you clearly like me!"

Andrew sneered, carrying her to the bed and starting to kiss her. "When a man wants to play with a woman, of course, he says he likes her. If I didn't say I liked you, how would you have thrown yourself into my arms? How would you have called me Andrew so passionately? You are so naive. It's just a game between adults; only you took it seriously!"

At the moment of possession, she cried.

Andrew's eyes also had faint tears, but he continued to say heartless words, "I've seen many people like you, just a novelty! Do you really think sleeping together a few times means I have to take responsibility for you?"

Chloe cried even harder. She pushed him, trying to stop him, but Andrew reached into the bedside drawer and took out a box, showing he intended to go all the way.

She couldn't take it anymore and slapped him again.

After hitting him, she buried her head in the blanket, crying sorrowfully.

Andrew lay down beside her in despair, covering his eyes with his hand.
