Chapter 925 What Do You Think? Do You Want to Divorce or Not?
Sienna paused for a moment.
She glanced at Bruce, then at Will, and thought about how great it would be if they could just get along.
They'd be so much happier!
Bruce could tell what she was thinking.
He sensed her sadness and walked over, freeing one hand to rest on her shoulder.
His voice was gentle, "Sienna, give me a chance. Let's see if having a child can save our marriage. These past few years, there's been no one else for me, I just..."
He trailed off.
It was his fault. He lacked experience and never considered that Sienna might get pregnant.
He thought she was being unreasonable, and he hadn't been a good husband.
Sienna didn't agree.
Just like he said, there wasn't a catastrophic rift between them, nor was there a third party.
But two years had passed, and things were different now.
Of course, she was different too.
Sienna didn't reject him outright. She gave a faint smile, "I'll think about it."
She was willing to consider it, willing to give him a chance.
Bruce smiled with relief and asked, "Do I still have clothes here? This little guy's smell is something else."
Sienna continued to smile faintly, "Having a child is like that."
Bruce knew she was hinting at him again. His Adam's apple bobbed as he said quietly, "I'll get used to having a child, Sienna."
She looked at him.
Sienna understood deep down. If she agreed to reconcile, it would only be out of convenience. The pain she once felt for him, the love, had long faded.
If Will needed a father, Bruce was the best choice.
She fetched him some clothes and sent him to shower.
When Bruce came out, the nanny was with Will, and he couldn't help but hold little Will, playing with him for a while.
Sienna was on the terrace, making herself a cup of coffee.
Bruce came over with the child.
She continued to look at the night outside.
Hearing his footsteps, she said, "Tomorrow, you should take Will to see his grandparents. I'm sure they'd love to hold him. Will seems to like you; you've been holding him for a while, and he hasn't fussed. It's like he instinctively knows you're his dad."
At this moment, both of them had calmed down, no longer saying hurtful things.
They were still husband and wife.
Their conversation was peaceful but also bland.
Bruce suddenly couldn't hold back. He asked her, "What are you thinking? Do you want to divorce or not?"
What he really wanted to know was about their feelings.
He wanted to know if she still had feelings for him, if she still felt a spark.
Sienna looked at the night outside.
She smiled, "It's nostalgia, Bruce. Over these years, you've become my nostalgia. I've been angry with you, but I've also missed you. I thought you'd eventually realize I was pregnant, that you'd come to see me. I even had moments of impulse, wanting to come back and reconcile, but I couldn't. Eventually, that impulse faded, and now it's like this. Anything is fine, since there's no one else suitable around, right?"
She even asked him directly, "Is there someone else in your life?"
He said no.
Sienna continued to smile faintly, slowly sipping her coffee.
She didn't ask Bruce to leave, and that night, he slept with Will.
But he couldn't sleep all night.
He couldn't figure out Sienna's thoughts.
This matter weighed heavily on his heart, causing him great discomfort.
