Chapter 881 Who I Spend the Night With Has Nothing to Do With You!
Bruce didn't even think before grabbing her hand. "Sienna!"
Sienna yanked her hand away.
Her eyes were slightly red, and her voice was calm and restrained. "Bruce, don't forget we broke up! Not long ago, you almost slept with your new girlfriend. Who are you putting on this show for? Me or her?"
Bruce apologized again. "Sienna, I didn't mean to! I'm not that kind of guy. Whatever you want as compensation, just tell me."
Sienna tilted her head slightly and after a moment, she said softly, "I just want you to stay away from me! Let's never see each other again!"
He frowned. "Do you hate me that much?"
Sienna sneered. "Do you think we can still be friends? Dream on, Bruce."
With that, she walked away.
Bruce stood there for a long time.
Freya felt quite wronged. What was supposed to be a sweet afternoon was completely ruined by Bruce's ex-girlfriend.
She walked over, wrapped her arms around Bruce's neck, and kissed him, trying to reignite his desire.
But Bruce wasn't interested.
He pushed her hand away and said flatly, "Go take a shower in the guest room and change your clothes. I'll take you home."
Freya was unhappy. "Bruce, this isn't your fault! She showed up uninvited and threw water on me. She's just spoiled because her family is rich."
She added, "Besides, shouldn't I be using the master bathroom?"
Bruce was silent for a moment before saying, "This used to be where Sienna and I lived together. Use the guest room."
Freya was taken aback.
Then she understood why he had been kissing her on the couch, ready to make love. The master bedroom belonged to Sienna, and she didn't measure up.
So after Sienna left, Freya and Bruce had an unhappy parting as well.
Of course, she didn't dare throw water at him or slap him.
Freya just gave him the cold shoulder.
After Bruce took her home, he also ignored Freya for a few days.
He had a bad temper to begin with, and when he was with Sienna, she would always give in to him. Naturally, he wouldn't lower himself for Freya.
After a few days of coldness, he felt he had taken his anger out on her unfairly.
So he called Freya and asked her out for dinner.
It was evening, and Freya sweetly said, "Pick me up after work. Let's go for barbecue. I know a place that's really good."
Bruce was silent.
Maybe to make her happy, he agreed. He played on his phone for an hour, then grabbed his jacket and went to pick her up.
Bruce parked in front of the club and sent Freya a message. Soon, he got her sweet reply: [I'll be right out!]
Bruce could imagine her excitement and couldn't help but smile.
Sure enough, in less than five minutes, Freya came out surrounded by a group of young girls.
Among them, Freya was definitely one of the prettier ones. She walked over shyly and called out, "Bruce!"
Bruce nodded and leaned over to open the passenger door for her.
Freya blushed as she got in.
The other girls giggled and dispersed.
Bruce held the steering wheel and asked softly, "Where are we going to eat?"
Freya frowned and said quietly, "Didn't we agree on the barbecue place?"
She took his phone and entered an address. "Here, it's this place!"
Bruce glanced at it casually, then started the car.
As he drove, he reminded her, "There might not be parking in that alley."
"Then we'll park outside and walk in! I want to walk with you."
Freya looked sweet.
Bruce didn't say anything else. He thought about how his father was right; he and Freya had a lot to work on.
But on the other hand, he didn't want to change her personality. That was what he found interesting about her.
Bruce was lost in thought.
He didn't expect to run into Sienna at such a low-end barbecue joint. Even with her back to the door, he recognized her.
She wore a simple white sweater, black flared pants, and her long black hair was styled in loose waves over her shoulders.
A young, scholarly-looking guy sat across from her, his eyes full of admiration.
Bruce looked a few more times, confirming the young guy couldn't be more than 24. He sneered. Sienna was already chasing younger men at her age.
Freya saw it too and gritted her teeth, thinking Sienna was haunting them.
She glanced at Bruce and saw his face was dark.
Because at that moment, the young guy was peeling shrimp for Sienna, and she seemed to enjoy it.
They looked sweet and well-matched.
Bruce sat at the table next to them, glaring at her for a moment before sneering. "Is this your new boyfriend? Which college did you find him at?"
Sienna finally noticed him.
She rested her chin on her hand, her eyes charming. "Mr. Taylor, what a coincidence!"
Bruce hated when she called him that. He liked it when she called him Bruce, but now he couldn't argue. He wanted to know, "Someone like him, with no career or family background, will Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins approve?"
Sienna batted her eyes. "Just like us before, it's just for fun. Who needs approval?"
Bruce's face darkened; she said it was just for fun!
The young guy blushed and stammered, "I'm okay with being just for fun!"
He was actually the younger brother of Sienna's friend.
He liked Sienna, but she wasn't interested. She just teased him. When she was with Bruce, she stayed faithful and didn't get involved with other men.
But things ended badly.
She gently pinched the young man's face, smiling. "I'll take care of you tonight!"
Bruce lost his appetite.
He looked at Sienna. "Can't you have some self-respect? How long have you known him, and you're already spending the night together? At your place or a hotel? Can he even afford a room?"
Sienna's face turned cold. She wiped the oil off her fingers with a napkin and sneered. "Who I spend the night with and where is none of your business. Bruce, don't act like I should stay single for you after we broke up. Aren't you afraid people will laugh at you?"
Bruce's face was ashen. "It's none of my business?"
Before Sienna could respond, Freya, pale, spoke up, her voice almost in tears. "Bruce, whose boyfriend are you?"
The atmosphere was tense.
Bruce let go of Sienna's hand and gently put it down. Yes, he had forgotten they broke up. He was Freya's boyfriend now.
