Chapter 885 Bruce: Yes! I Regret It!
At this point, Bruce couldn't deny it any longer; it would make him look too uncouth.
He said coolly, "She's my girlfriend."
Raymond was about to speak when Jeremy arrived with Sienna. Raymond promptly ignored Bruce and his less-than-impressive girlfriend.
But when Raymond looked at Jeremy and Sienna, his face lit up with a smile.
"Jeremy, did you bring your girlfriend? This is Sienna from the Hawkins family, right? You two make a great pair!"
Marcella glanced at Sienna, feeling a pang of jealousy. That was supposed to be her daughter-in-law! She blamed Bruce for being foolish, choosing a waitress over a well-bred lady.
Jeremy handed over a gift and smiled at Sienna beside him. "Sienna and I are just getting to know each other. Who knows what the future holds, but I promise to treat her well."
Sienna gave a gentle smile.
Her arm was linked with Jeremy's, and they looked quite affectionate.
Raymond watched them discreetly for a while, then suddenly called Bruce over. "Bruce, look at Jeremy! He's two years younger than you, and he's already found a girlfriend!"
Bruce smiled, "Grandpa, I have a girlfriend too!"
Raymond's response was a long, drawn-out "Well," without any further acknowledgment.
No approval, no gift, not even a smile!
That was his attitude.
Raymond wasn't one to embarrass people, but Bruce's girlfriend Freya was just too inappropriate. Raymond knew Bruce's character; he wouldn't do anything reckless, but Freya was too eager!
Did she think the Taylor family's doors were that easy to walk through?
Raymond chatted away, with Jeremy and Sienna by his side, almost like they were his own grandchildren.
Bruce understood Raymond's message.
He stayed with Freya.
Even though he had lost hope in their relationship, he still had to go through the motions.
Freya held her juice, biting her lip, and asked, "Bruce, is Sienna doing this on purpose?"
Bruce answered honestly, "She didn't know you were coming."
Freya didn't like that answer. Tears welled up in her eyes. "I'm your official girlfriend, Bruce. Why can't I be here? But she can, right?"
Bruce set down his champagne and sighed. "Her family has business dealings with the Taylor family."
Freya was deeply hurt!
It took her a while to speak softly, "So, I'm not good enough! You two are meant to be! Bruce, I know you regret it!"
Honestly, Bruce was quite frustrated!
Before they were a couple, Freya was understanding and never fought for anything.
But now, whenever she faced setbacks, she took it out on Sienna, which was wrong.
Bruce wondered where the understanding Freya had gone.
Feeling unhappy, he looked over at Sienna.
Sienna was talking to Marcella, who clearly liked her.
But when Marcella looked at him, her gaze was full of resentment. She had hoped many times that he would bring Sienna home, but he never did. Now, Sienna was Jeremy's girlfriend.
How far had they gone?
Bruce was lost in thought, and Freya got upset again. "Your silence means you regret it!"
Bruce completely lost his patience.
His tone was icy. "Yes! I regret it!"
Freya's eyes filled with tears, and she couldn't speak for a long time.
Bruce, being decisive, said directly, "I'll take you home."
